What was or is your favorite subject in school? Mine was English and Literature, both in High school and in College. I still love "The Most dangerous Game," "The Pit And The Pendulum," and a lot, but not all, of the poetry that we had to study. Epics like "The Illiad," and "The Odyssey," "Beowulf," all of the tales of knights, heroes, and gods, everyone from Arthur to Zeus. I spent all of my time in high school and college in the school libraries.

I enjoy English sometimes, but sometimes it really bores me because we don't really do anything. I also enjoy Drama, IT and occasionally History.

Gym and math. But only in certain grades. Never over the whole school period. School was pretty much a social thing for me, never really cared for class even if some of them were fun. But not in the sense that I had a favourite subject. Hated the german classes for 3 years though, but now Iīm glad I kept going. Not that Iīm fluent or anything. Avoid speaking it if I have the choice, but itīs nice to understand bits and pieces sometimes.

I've always enjoyed English, i love reading and wish i had more time for it, i love poetry as well. so i say that's my favorite subject. i find science classes like chemistry and biology very interesting and enjoy them but i'm never any good at them so i wouldn't call them a favorite. Math i loved and was always good at, till my junior year when i had algebra II, now i pretty much detest it

Eniglish. definitely. I even like diagramming.

My major in college is English. I plan on switching to Creative Writing when I switch schools.

I loved English, Latin, Maths and Arts; English probably being my favorite of them. In my last two years, also really got into Religious Education and made it one of my finals classes at the last possible moment (didn't care much for that subject before, but simply had the best R.E. teacher, ever, for the last two-and-a-half years of school).

I however despised Social Sciences and, for reasons obvious to anyone who looks at me *cough*, Physical Education.

History. Because it's got everything from drama to action/adventure and is deliciously ambiguous. I like how OUR interpretations of history merely is a reflection of our contemporary world. It's like one big analogy. Entertains me greatly.

I don't think I ever had just one favourite subject. It varied between Science (Chemistry and Physics in particular), English (both Literature and Language), French, History and Geography...I guess I just love learning :)

French and English Lit. Ironically not Drama. I hated the way Drama was taught in school, but I loved French and Lit.
Learning languages always came easily to me, especially French and I loved the fact that once you learned one language the others all began to fall into place- which is how I ended up taking Spanish and then taking Italian classes later on. Plus, we had this like amazing teacher. She was completely insane- but in a good way- and definitely one of the best teachers I've ever had. She made everything memorable and so easy to learn. Of course, you didn't want to cross her. Ever. So there was always that underlying feeling of fear, haha.

And Literature- another one that came easy to me, but I always enjoyed whatever we were studying. From Dr Faustus to To Kill a Mockingbird. Actually To Kill a Mockingbird became one of my favorite books through that class. A lot of favorites were introduced to me through lessons actually. I mean we mildly discussed The Odyssey when I was in elementary school and that intrigued me so much it led me into a childhood obsession with all those epics and mythology. And when we came across it again in tenth grade I understood it even more, obviously, and since it was my first 'read' of Greek mythology, it's always got a place on my favorite list too. And then when that subject area became exhausted I also added Egyptology to my interests. Haha. But Lit was always really good...my teacher for both my junior and senior year though was so incredibly Gilesy. He was American but he'd been raised in England most of his life and he always wore suits and had this little round glasses and I mean he was slightly more Hugh Grant Bumbly than Giles, but still the resemblence was there. He had a great sense of humor too and the two of us often would try to have the last word in a banter match.

There were other classes I enjoyed- like Film Studies and Art History- but the teachers doing the subject slightly diminished my love for them so they are not up in the Top Two, haha. But I did like those classes a lot. And I do remember one time in film as our teacher ordered us to frolic around the classroom to a Spanish song....weird....

Hm, let's see...
it's very different. There are some things I very much like, but school kinda screwed that up. English, for example. I enjoy the language, but class sucked. Same with Russian. Same with chem class, German, geography, philosophy, French and art class. The ones that were okay at school were history, PE (loved that; sadly the things I liked the most, like running lapses, other people defined as torture so we hardly ever did them), biology and music.
There were also some subjects I ALWAYS hated. Physics, computer science and politics being those.

English, Math, and Latin were my strongest, and I guess they were also my favorites. And it doesn't hurt that I had absolutely wonderful teachers for them.

I LOATHE history though. Seriously.

Polish( literature, writing) was always my favourite subject. It's not that interesting at the High School as it was before (we had really good teacher in Middle School) but I still like it.
I liked Biology at Middle School too. We had great teacher. He really loved his subject, it fascinated him. He always told us many interesting stuff about animals, nature etc. Nobody was bored at those lessons. Unfortunately we didn't have such good teacher at High School. All she did throughout the lesson was dictating us stuff from encyclopedia and other books ( things which wasn't even in school programme!) and expected us to know it all by heart for another lesson. It made me hate Biology. Well, a lot is up to teacher whether the subject is interesting or not.
I like learning languages but English classes are boring for me because I attend afterschool English classes and I already know everything we're learning at school. I liked afterschool classes though.
I like German classes. We have good teacher and apart from teaching language she tells us about German culture.

Well, I have a M.A. in British Literature, so that kind of goes without saying. If (WHEN) I get into a PhD program, I plan to study Medieval Literature (I prefer an emphasis on British, but I'll study the Italian and Germanic literature, too).

I also enjoy Psychology. I'm hoping, once I'm all Dr.-y, to help steer the psychological literary criticism AWAY from psychoanalysis (cause even the psychologists aren't using that anymore) and more toward social psychology and/or evolutionary psychology. Stuff that actually makes sense both scientifically and analytically.

I hate math. And forced exercise.

English was always my favourite. We don't distigush between English Language and English Lit over here, although that just means we ended up doing Lit all the time. It was fine for the people who were good at English and for those who enjoyed it, but it put a lot of other off the subject. It wasn't the best system, but it did mean that the classes got progressively smaller through the years. By the time I took it at Advanced Higher there was only 9 people in the class, which for a subject like English was great.

I also liked Geography and Latin. Geography was mostly down to the teachers in the department, and Latin was because of my love for the language and the literature we were studying.

If I could do it all again, I would have definately taken Classical Studies and Art though. I never took Classics because it's often viewed as a soft option, and I wanted to study Law at Uni, but I always loved Greek and Roman Mythology. When choosing my subjects, I let myself be pushed in the direction of Music over Art, and I've always regretted it. I never got the chance to pick it up, and I really wish I'd taken the chance. That definately would have been one of my favourites....if I'd taken it, that is.

I love English. And I don't exactly like History, but it's easy for me. And I like Spanish (as a second language), too.

As for least favorites, Math, Science, and Latin. I just barely passed Latin with a D-, and as for Math and Science, I'm just plain bad at them.

Definitely English. It's one of the few classes I have that's both interesting and easy. Spanish would come in second, just because it comes very naturally to me.

My worst subject? Probably math. I absolutely loathe it.

While I was in school, I really liked Language Arts and Biology.

Language Arts because I like doing all the grammar things, finding the subject and predicate, nouns, verbs, all that jazz. I couldn't really do too much of it now, but I did like it.

Biology because it was really easy for me. It just clicked...plus, who doesn't like dissecting fetal pigs and earthworms?

Now though, as a teacher, I really like teaching math. Our math hour is the best hour of the day because they've made math so much more interesting. If math were taught like that when I was in second grade, I would've picked it up better. I've gotten better with adding and subtracting since I started teaching four years ago...

My favorite subject was art. I spent all my time in the art room in high school...which is probably why I did so terribly on all my other subjects, lol. I liked English too, though.

I carried on with my art through college and got my BTEC in art and design, but I really wish I'd kept up with the creative writing side of English, learned a little more. I'm thinking about doing one of those online course thingies, but we'll see how it goes.

Definitely English. English classes have a lot of potential to be creative. The only problem is that I'm not a good essay writer. The teachers always has the same comment: good ideas, but underdeveloped
I'm majoring in English. Bit worried about the boring books I'll have to read.

I also like History. If I wasn't majoring in English, I'd do History. It's easy for me and interesting.

now in sixth form, my favourite was government and politcs, but i failed my exam so i can't continue with it...woops.

so i'm taking psyhcology instead next year to go with english language and english literature, both of which i also like :)

I was always really good at english and history. I sucked at math and science, Id just scrape by. Im the kinda person if it dosen't interest me then I cant learn it....although when it came to math I found algebra to be a cinch. I really didnt like French either, the language itself is nice and everything but there were only 2 people in the class including myself so there was no where to hide! The teacher was right in front of you calling on you to answer something every 5 seconds, it was awful!, I was really astounded that on my HSC I did really well in it! lol.

Well, since we have blocks in university now, I only have 2 subjects at a time, so right now the only ones I have are Social Psychology and Body and Behaviour.
Though both are fun, I prefer Body and Behaviour. It's a lot of work and I don't have a clue what's going on most of the time, but if you get into it it's really interesting.
