OK, I need some huge help here, for likely an impossible task (for myself) It concerns finding a print of a painting that always catches my eye whenever I watch the first three seasons of Buffy.

In Giles office in the library there is a painting that hangs over his desk of a sun low in the horizon over a lightly forested cove.

As odd as it sounds, I want that painting very, very badly. Not a painting similar to it, that won't do...but an actual print of it; yet it mocks my efforts...so I brought out the big guns, this place!

In talking about this with different Buffy fans, they have mentioned an auction that was held when Buffy went off the air where you could buy props. I suck with this whole internet research and am having trouble finding it, but i think that might be my best chance of finding at least the painters and paintings name, and if there are any prints for sale of it.

There is a chance that someone here just knows all about it, so I thought, hey no harm in asking.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

well, i have no clue where find it, or even how to begin to look, but in case it might help, i wanted to post a screencap from the show with it. is this (http://www.screencap-paradise.com/caps/displayimage.php?pid=6095&fullsize=1) the one you were talking about, the large one?

Yes, thank you, that is the painting I'm talking about. I wish I knew the name of the painter or the painting. The quest continues, I guess. I thank you for your help with it. :)

how about contacting 20th century fox, I am sure they must have a contact email. They may be able to point you in the right direction!

Thats a good idea! I hope they have a manifest or something, of the stage props used up to season three, in case it was sold in the online auction at the series end.

Your idea is especially clever, because who's to say the painting even made it to that auction? 4 years seperate season 3 from that auction...(But I thought I saw it again at Giles apartment at some point) maybe someone took it home before it even was eligible to sell.

Thanks for the suggestion.
