Season 8 or ATF??

this weekend, im going to buy either Buffy Season 8 or Angel: ATF I just dont know which!! any suggestions?

If money weren't an issue I would say both, or all three, since #2 of the "Spike" mini series is also available, but if I could only buy one, it would be the new "Buffy," then buy the other two later. But that's just my personal opinion.

That's a toughie.
I've been reading ATF monthly and getting the Buffy TPBs, but I think I have done it backwards.
If you're looking to get a bunch at once, I'd get the ATF ones. Brian Lynch's stories always seem better when read in a big blop. Plus, with the mess of a storyline he was left with, it's a bit too complex to try and read one and then wait a month.
But, if you just want to get a few I'd go with Buffy.

I haven't read ATF at all, but S8 is amazing. I recommend it.

I love them both but if i had to choose, i'd go for After The Fall - the story is faster paced and episodic, plus less issues = easier on the purse.

I'd say Season 8, ATF is terrible, I think in 10 issues I had read 1 that was any good.

It's not just they story that makes ATF suffer, the art is terrible.

In the latest issue, they use the same horrid panel twice, the art never seems to 'move'.

AtF: Angel has always been better than Buffy (oooo alot of members are gonna hate me now XD)

Season 8 just seems like a gore fest D=

If you're new to comics and not sure if you'll like them... go for Buffy... it's a little more clean and simple.

If you're open to different forms of art... and not afraid to use your brains... get Angel, no doubt.
