The Trio. Warren, Andrew and Jonathan. Do you like them?
These were probably my favorite *supporting* big bads. I think almost every scene with them was very funny, and they actually had interesting little storylines.
My favorite would be Warren. While Andrew and Jonathan were extremley hilarious, they were also like a couple of silly little kids, especially Andrew, always trying to get noticed by Warren and sucking up to him, then pretty much fell in love with Spike. Warren on the other hand was always the main man in the Trio, calling the shots and making all the big decisions, and keeping his *kids* in check.
Andrew runs a very close second though, the guy is just such a gimp that its funny. In fact i probably like Andrew better overall but in s6 prefer Warren. Jonathan though, i only liked him in superstar. In s6 he was easily outshone by the other 2.

I voted for Andy, but Jonathan had one of the better lines with "dont touch my magic bone!".. err.. that was Jonathan, right? or was it Andrew? eghads! I do not recall.

I like Jonathan best. Probably just because we'd known him for a while and he really stunk at being "evil"

well, i dont know if i have a favourite. my thoughts are these:

as far as warren, i used to hate him completely, but, after rewatching episodes, i saw how human he was, and how he just went all bad, and there was about .000000000001% sympathy, and significantly more interest. the interest came from watching him turn slowly darker. although, you know, he doesnt match up to the "big evils" in his evil, he was still bad. so, yeah, interesting character. ...BUT HE KILLED TARA! im far too biased. i cant love him that much at all:p.

for andrew, he was funny. a big source of humour. that was the main point of me liking him. he was also kind of naive and nice, so i guess there was that. and, you know, watching people who just arent good at being evil try....well, thats more funny right there.

and finally, for jonathan, he was awesome. like Dlou said, we'd known him for a while, and that was cool. he was the nicest of them all, like the "conscience" of the group, who kept being like "no, we cant kill buffy", and whatnot. he also had some funny lines. i was sad to see andrew kill him :(.

so, yeah, im rambling :silly:. i like them, but i dont have a favourite, basically.

In season 6 I liked Jonathon the best, he was just so sweet. And cute! But if it was incuding season 7 then I would have picked Andrew cos he just got funnier the longer he was on the show.:biggrin:

I voted Andrew because hes such a moth of the flame when it comes to Warren its quite funny , I feel sorry for Jonathan even with the supergeeks hes still the loner x

Aww I just have such a soft spot for Jonathan, I actually would have preferred Jonathan to be in Season 7 hanging out with the scoobs instead of Andrew. Jonathan always seemed to have so much more depth and personality to explore. Although I suppose there wasn't much time to explore Jonathan or Andrew in season 7 so maybe a more 2 dimensional character suited season 7 better.

I guess Jonathan wouldn't have killed Andrew though and turn bad again though, but when there's a will there's a way.

So anyway, Jonathan, yeah I like him. He's funny, got some awesome lines, played his character well.

This is starting to become a bad habit. I´m totally with birdie again. As a whole I absolutely love Andrew, but in just in season 6 I liked Jonathan better. As for Warren, ok maybe he was an interesrting charachter but as SoF put it, he killed Tara! It´s impossible for me to like the guy.

I've always liked Jonathon, and he is funny, but he's a different kind of funny than Andrew is. Definitely a close second though.

Buffy's confrontation with Twilight reminds me of Earshot. Just came to talk.
Jonathan was a "magician" as well, and AFAIK the only one sacrificed on top of the Hellmouth so maybe some mystical mojo is at work.

Jonathan was easily the best of the three. Warren was cruel, manipulating, a bully, and a coward. Andrew was just a sheep, following along with whatever Warren said, never questioning anything. At least Jonathan finally realized that they had gone too far and had to face up to what they had done (okay, so he ran off to Mexico with Andrew, he still tried to come back and do the right thing. He just got murdered before he could do it)

Jonathan.... i loved how they handled his character.. all the way through the show to bring him back time and time again in the first place, makes the show rich... tho I LOVE Andrew.. so he's a close second.

Andrew. Come on, he's just so hilarious. The way he tries to be cool! And I'm really glad they got him back for s7, because without him it would've ben a lot les funnier.

Voted Jonathan.
He has a hard time both as a "big bad" and as a student. Which makes me kinda like him.

Andrew is funny but to much of a sheep as someone said.

Warren was the best "big bad" and the leader even though they where supposed to be equal.
He's not very likable though, being quite selfish and mean.

I voted for Andrew, he's hilarious and adds the much-needed humour during dark & intense moments in season 7. Second would be Jonathan, he seems to be a morally good character inside (also the fact that he's a recurring character from the early Buffy high school days). I never really liked Warren.

The Trio are my favorite season villans (along with Angelus/Spike/Dru).

I like them all in their own ways.

Jonathan was the heart. The fact that he sacrificed his dream to get rid of the demon that came from his wish speaks volume. He also was so adamant about not hurting anyone.

Andrew was the supporter. He desperately needed a male role model, and latched on to whoever he could, and would do anything to help them/make himself more loved.

Warren was the brain. C'mon, the robots and ray-gun were amazing. He just went a little power crazy towards the end.

Yes, I'll admit that I was one of the votes for Warren. Other people in the 'verse have done things and were forgiven. Being flayed alive redeems him a bit... **flees**

I voted for Andrew. I didn't like him very much when i first "saw" him. In fact, i thought Jonathan was the best of the 3. but i loved him in season 07 so now i'm an Andrew Fan lol

Season 7 he's one of the funniest in it...the episode 'Storyteller' is simply amazingly hilarious.
