I've watched the whole of Buffy and all of the extras that appear on the DVD's here in my collection.

And there's one thought I keep on harping back to when I see Nick on any of the documentaries - that guy is either drunk or stoned off his face!

I know he had an alcohol problem and I, like a lot of you hope he got it sorted, but if you watch some of the footage closely, especially the S6 and S7 stuff - it looks like he's off his face almost all of the time.

I watched some video footage posted on a Buffy / Spike fansite the other day and there was a cast and crew sit down section where the host was firing questions given from the audience prior to the start and Nick looked for all intents and purposes to be either very drunk or very stoned from the things he said and the things he did.

Don't get me wrong now Nick / Xander lovers - I ain't having a pop.

I'm concerned about the guy and hope that someone else, someone who can actually do something about this possible problem, if it is a problem can help the dude.

Well now he's doing great i heard but i saw this fan interview with him at a convention and he looked bad but sober and when i say bad i mean sick pale and shaved head but still the happy Xander so glad he's back.

But i don't know
why he never gets good roles or anything cuase the last film role i saw him in was that dumb horror spoof called
The Last Dread thing or whatever.

I only remember the outtakes of S6 and S7, and he seemed normal to me. But it won't be a surprise if he was acting off seeing that he was having problems in S7 with alcohol.

From my understanding, Nick has dyslexia.

I have a t-shirt that says 'I put the sexy in Dyslexia.' I have it too.

Nick has always been an idol of mine, because he could master scripts when it takes all of my time to read my fav. comic books.

His weight gain might not be alcholism, could just be getting old...on the contrary, i bet he can afford the good stuff and its beer that makes you fat, not the manhattan. His weight gain might be for the sobering up periods if he 'dried himself out' to act, or maybe it's nothing at all. I think its ill logic to try and judge a mans merits without knowing him personally. (not that anyones doing that here.) Uniqueness is not unique among our species, so what constitutes odd behavior, short of law breaking examples....at least when you deal with strangers....is errored by our own relations at best.

Plus what do we have for comparison? A good actor can sometimes seem alittle off in person. When we compare the character to the actor things often seem amiss. First time i heard james talk i nearly crapped myself discovering his accent is 'acted.'

At any rate I hope nick is doing good, and if he can read while being both dyslexic and a drunkard then the man is a freaking prodigy.

I think its pretty couragous of him to get into acting to get over his stutter, If I had a stutter I dont think I could bring myself to do that!. It sux that he isn't in more stuff, nobody seems to be willing to give him a chance!. Ha ha I heard some weird rumor that he was gonna be the next spiderman! I like Nick but that would not have worked! lol. Yeh with the whole alcholism and his divorce(dont know if that was during or after buffy) to soilder on like that is a pretty good effort. I hope he gets more stuff in the future other wise he is the type of guy to just fade into oblivion or just do buffy conventions for the rest of his life! which wouldn't be to terrible for us I guess lol.
