Can I have an answer?

What are the rules about fan fiction ?
When I first joined this site I posted a story in The Wishverse but I was told, sorry you have to be invited to post here.
Fair enough I thought, in fact, I thought this is great, because there are actual guidelines that have to be met.
Later I put in a story in Tales Of The Slayer and once again I was told that it might not be deemed suitable because it was seen as I'd created a complete universe rather than continue with Mr Joss Whedon's universe. I was told it might be moved into general fanfiction.
To me that was rules and guidelines, I may have not been in agreeance, but I was seen to have written a story that wasn't exactly suitable for where I had put it. Not a problem.
I chose to have a title for my story but that was changed because it wasn't the same as everybody else's. That is the thing about rules, if you break them you have to deal with the consequences.
In the general fan fic section there is a rule that states Buffy / Angel / Tru Calling related fan fic only.
Then perrycareyrocks puts up ideas for fan fic and they are allowed.
His latest post states quite clearly that he has sent the story elsewhere. He has put a poor synopsis of each story, so how is that fan fic ?

To me fan fic is a story. That section is for people to go and read a story. That is what I thought, but I am wrong, so can I please have a ruling or a guideline....
Is there a minimum number of words?
Does the story have to be about or include certain characters or can it be the general storyline from those TV shows.

perrycareyrocks said he does want to post those stories because he has sent them somewhere else................crap!!
I have had two books published neither are books about Buffy's exploits but I changed the stories so that they were about Buffy's exploits.
I fully intend to change my latest story to be fan fic, why? purely for others to read. How can it be changed to fan fic? Some rules and guidelines would be needed.

Introduction to the Watcher Diaries is the main fan fiction forum. Within that forum, we have two subforums for special projects the board has been working on:

Tales of the Slayer is meant to be a group fan fic where each person tells the story of a different Slayer who they would create. The point is that we are working backwards from Buffy to form a fictional Slayer timeline. IIRC, when you posted your fic in that section we asked you whether it really fit there as it didn't seem to take place in the Buffyverse and you decided that it didn't, so we moved it. The rules for posting TOTS stories are located within that forum. There is a thread title format for clarity and organizational purposes which should be observed. It is not just a forum for stories which involve Slayers.

The Wishverse is a smaller project that has been by invitation only, where we are trying to write the story of the universe that Joss created in the episode The Wish. This section was opened to all members so that we could offer a preview of what we'd been working on. If you have written something based on The Wish idea, it easily can find a home in Introduction to the Watcher Diaries.

The rule about on topic fan fiction only means that it must have a topic related to Buffy, not that fan fics must be completed before they are posted. As stated in the Posting Fanfics (http://buffy-boards.com/showthread.php?t=24161) thread, partial stories are acceptable. Just because someone is new to writing fanfics or isn't a "published author", does not mean that they are not welcome to post in the fanfic forum.

As for perrycareyrocks, the staff is helping him post more efficiently so that he can get the help he is looking for. I sincerely hope that when you first began writing, people were not as unwelcoming and unsupportive of you as you are being to him by calling him out in this and other posts.
