Hey guys,I wrote this teaser (well, actually alot of it was ORIGINALLY written by Marti Noxon, you'll see what I mean). But I would really like opinions on it, it's my first script written story, and tell me if this is something I should continue with?FAITH THE VAMPIRE SLAYER
EPISODE 1.1 “Same Old Wish”
Teaser
Intr. Giles Apartment –
Giles dining table is littered with various mystical items, crystals, sage roots, etc… He’s got a text in front of him and he’s nervously making his way through a SUMMONING RITUAL.
Giles
Anyaka, I beseech thee, uh…
He looks back at the text. Finds his place again.
Giles (cont’d)
In the name of all women scorned-Come before me!
He lights a mixture of herbs in a chalice. Waits. Nothing seems to happen. Then from the shadows, steps the girl we knew as ANYA.
However her face is HORRIBLE.
ANYANKA
Do you have any idea what I do to a man who uses that spell to summon me?
OFF GILES
Both triumphant at his success and terrified of her.
Anyanka circles slowly towards Giles, who counters.
Giles
Cordelia Chase. What did she wish for?
ANYANKA
(smiling)
I had no idea her wish would be so ……..exciting. A brave new world. I hope she likes it.
GILES
She’s dead.
ANYANKA
It happens.
GILES
You’re going to change it back.
She moves towards him more directly, but he stands his ground.
GILES (cont’d)
I’m not afraid of you. Your only power lies in the wishing.
She grabs him by the throat in a vice-like grip.
ANYANKA
Wrong.
Int. HUMAN PROCCESSING PLANT-Main Area
Buffy is throwing a vamp off her as Xander approaches, pulling his arrow from his shoulder. He looks truly pissed—moves to stab Buffy with it as she is preoccupied with yet another vamp.
ANGEL
Sees this. Throws himself between Xander and Buffy. He punches Xander, sending him sprawling. Turns to Buffy.
That’s when they see the STAKE Xander plunged into Angel’s chest. There is a heartbeat before he turns to dust.
ANGEL
Buffy-
INT GILES APARTMENT-Night
Anyanka still holds Giles in her grip.
ANYANKA
This is the real world now. There is no going back. This is the world we made.
Choking, he looks at her and sees:
CLOSE ON: HER NECKLACE
Identical to Cordy’s. It glows with power.
ANYANKA (cont’d)
Isn’t it wonderful?
INT. PEOPLE PROCESSING PLANT-MAIN AREA-NIGHT
Haunting classical music is the only sound we here as the mayhem continues in full-on, SLOW MOTION GLORY.
ON BUFFY
As she knocks a henchman off his feet. Then spins and STAKES XANDER. He’s SLOW MOTION DUST.
ON WILLOW
Who moves to help Master. Doesn’t notice Oz until it’s too late… OZ SLAMS HER INTO A JAGGED PIECE OF BROKEN WOOD that juts from battered holding pen. She’s history.
INT. GILES’ APARTMENT-NIGHT
Giles stops clawing at her iron grip and SNATCHES her PENDANT off her neck. This action produces genuine TERROR in ANYA’s face. She lets go briefly, and he stumbles back.
ANYANKA
No!
She flies at him- - and he DECKS her, sends her flying back into a corner. She looks up as he puts the pendant on the table and grabs some desk top object that can be used as a mallet.
ANYANKA (cont’d)
Trusting fool! How do you know that the other world is any better than this?
GILES
(almost to himself)
Because it has to be.
He begins to swing the mallet—but doesn’t notice the other figure that has entered the room. Before he can destroy the pendant, GILES IS STABBED IN THE BACK. He falls to the ground in a lot of pain, blood running from the wound. He looks up at the person who stabbed him.
CLOSE ON GILES KILLER- A BRINGER
INT. PROCESSING PLANT-MAIN AREA-NIGHT
The floor of the plant is littered with corpses. The Master has Buffy off her feet. He SNAPS HER NECK. Buffy falls from his grasp- EYES EMPTY AND STARING.
INT. GILES APARTMENT-NIGHT
CLOSE ON GILES
He looks up at the bringer he just stabbed him, then he looks towards ANYANKA who is grabbing her pendant and smiling.
Then a figure begins to manifest in the doorway right behind the bringer. This figure is that of Cordelia Chase, although us longtime viewers know who it really is. Cordelia/THE FIRST has a wide smirk on her face as Giles looks up at her in confusion.
CLOSE ON CORDELIA
She walks up in front of the BRINGER who washes the blood off of his dagger.
CORDELIA (Smiling)
Sorry Ripper, but since I couldn’t win in your world. I’ll figure I would give it a shot in this much more beautiful world. Hell, the core of my problem in that world has already been killed. Do you realize the possibilities here Rupert?
Giles almost dead, has a look of realization on his face. He knows who this entity is now, but there is nothing he can do about it.
CORDELIA/ THE FIRST (cont’d)
Your would be daughter type is now dead at the hands of the Master and soon another slayer will be called. I believe that would be Kendra, she’s weak, I’m sure the Master will have no problem killing as she did your slayer. And then, there is Faith, that will be a fun one to watch. But as far as I go, I did my part to alter history, my job for now is done.
Cordelia disappears with a laugh as Giles slowly fades out of being alive and dies slowly. The Bringer and Anya walk out of Giles apartment now that the whole thing is over with and this is now the real world. FADE TO BLACK.
THREE YEARS LATER
EXT. AN OLD RUNDOWN MOTEL LOCATED SOMEWHERE IN FLORIDA-DAYTIME
INT. MOTEL ROOM-DAYTIME
A phone rings as the camera pans up from the bottom of the bed in motel room. The phone continues to ring as we pan up to our NEW heroine, FAITH. She wakes up as the ringing phone annoys her. She picks up, still half way asleep.
FAITH (Groggy)
Hello?
The voice at the other end of the phone is a very familiar english voice and he sounds very panicked.
ENGLISH VOICE (OC)
Is this Faith?
FAITH
Who wants to know?
ENGLISH VOICE (OC)
The watchers council.
A disgusted look appears on her face.
FAITH
Go to hell!
ENGLISH VOICE (PANICKED) (OC)
Faith, this is very important, you must listen.
Faith slams the phone before she can hear the man out, then she pulls the covers over her head and attempts to go back to sleep.
INT. WATCHERS COUNCIL-LONDON EGLAND-DAY TIME
CLOSE ON WESLEY WYNDAM PRYCE
He slams down the phone with a panicked look on his face, he is surrounded by a few other watchers. He tries to play off his worries in front of his superiors. He looks ahead of him towards……..
CLOSE ON QUENTIN TRAVERSE
QUENTIN (Stern)
Sounds like we have a case of a Slayer who doesn’t want to play by authority. That is something that we can’t have. Wesley, if she doesn’t go to Sunnydale, you will be held responsible.
CLOSE ON WESLEY
He gulps, now afraid of the fate that awaits him from the Watcher’s council and afraid of the word “Sunnydale”.
WESLEY
Sir? Sunnydale? That town in California that has been run by vampires and demons for the last two years?
QUENTIN (SMIRKING)
One and the same.
