Okay, to make my debut on here, I've decided to write a fiction based around the first season of Angel. I plan to bring in a lot of people from Buffy and from Angel's past. I'm almost finished with the first chapter, and I should be posting it later this week. It all takes place after Wesley joins the AI gang. I just wanted to give you guys the heads up and to get your guy's opinions. I know it's vague, but when I get the first chapter up you'll understand it more. :)

Here's a sample of the first chapter. ;)

“Angel! Angel, get up here now!” Cordelia screamed at the top of her lungs down the lift. Angel was harder to get up these days … God only knows why they *have* to sleep during the day.

Angel sat up in his comfortable, Victorian bed and looked around groggily. Didn’t Cordy understand the significance of sleeping after a night of demon slaying and beheading? He slowly got up, put on a shirt, and got into the lift. As he was rising, he could hear Cordelia’s sighing and huffing.

“About time! I’ve been yelling at you for the past …” Cordy looked at the clock on the wall and counted the minutes that had gone by. “Six minutes!” One last huff, and she made it over to her desk and started looking at files.

“Cordy, as much as I appreciate your company, but … why the hell did you just wake me up?” Angel sighed and went over to the coffee maker and poured himself a cup.

“Oh right! We have a client!” Cordelia let out a smile and picked up a couple files and gave them to Angel. “And they’re willing to pay! Have I mentioned how I love this job?”

There's more, obviously, I just need to get it all fleshed out. Comments are greatly appreciated. :D

Chapter 1 - Awakening

“Angel! Angel, get up here now!” Cordelia screamed at the top of her lungs down the lift. Angel was harder to get up these days … God only knows why vampires *have* to sleep during the day.

“Six minutes!” One last huff and she made it over to her desk and started looking at files.

“Cordy, as much as I appreciate your company, but … why the hell did you just wake me up?” Angel sighed and went over to the coffee maker and poured him a cup.

“Oh right! We have a client!” Cordelia let out a smile and picked up a couple files and gave them to Angel. “And they’re willing to pay! Have I mentioned how I love this job?”

“More than once, yeah.” Angel starts to look at the files Cordelia handed to him. He notices the address. “Rubello Drive?”

“Yeah. Oh, and they said they wanted to meet at night. So I guess you’re free to go with us.” Cordy immediately looked down at her watch and let out a loud huff. “You know, it wouldn’t *kill* Wesley to actually come to work when I ask him to. He’s probably off trying to get the British flag out of his – Wesley!”

At that precise moment Wesley entered the office and laid his coat down on the sofa.

“Hello evil fighters. I was down at Costco buying some of those lovely little trinkets that go on your bumper. And I had a thought … what if Cordelia has had a vision? What if there’s some evil lurking about, waiting to be slayed? So of course, I ran down here as fast as possible.” Wesley made his way over to the doughnut box on the table. “Mm, doughnuts!”

“Wes. Client. Money.” Cordy said at her desk, reading something on her computer.

“Cordy, why does it strike me odd that the first client that we’ve had in weeks is willing to pay *and* lives in the same neighborhood that you do?” Angel said looking at the files and sipping his coffee at the same time.

“So? Look, just because I … kind of … told Dennis to haunt the guy in 214 doesn’t mean it’s not on the level! I mean, he came to me and asked me how to get rid of this … ghost.” Cordy looked up at Angel, knowing she had been caught. “So I … gave him our card. Angel, he’s got money! Money that he could be giving to us!”

“Yeah, but the ghost that’s haunting his apartment is the same ghost that lives with you!” Angel started to roll his eyes and went into his own office.

“Look, just because you’re not bringing in the revenue doesn’t mean I can’t! I’m an actress!” Just like that, Angel shut his door in Cordy’s face. She turned to Wesley. “He needs a hobby.”

“Or … you could leave him alone. I mean, after Doyle’s death … I’m sure he’s feeling very cut off right now.” Wesley continued to eat his doughnut.

“Wes … Angel wasn’t the one that got these scratch-n-sniff visions and aching head pains from Doyle. I mean, *I* should be the one being all alone and secluded. But no, Mister Broodo has to be such a drama queen …” Cordy started looking at a magazine in her desk drawer.

“I heard that!” Angel yelled from his office, his nose in a book.

“Look, Cordelia. I’m sure once Angel gets back to –“

“Shut up …” Wes looked at Cordy with a disappointed face.

“Cordelia, I’m just trying to help.” Wesley said frowning.

“No, I mean … Ah!” Cordelia fell to the ground, holding her head. She continued to scream as Wesley went to her aid and Angel ran out of his office.

“Vision?” Angel screamed?

“Gee, good eye!” Cordy said sarcastically, getting up from the floor and holding her head.

“What did you see?” Wesley asked, still keeping Cordy up.

“A big, ugly thing! I-It was killing some woman in an alley behind … that club on Diego.” Cordy said this while putting some pain killers in her mouth. Angel grabbed his coat and headed for the door. “Angel.” Angel turned to Cordy. “It was scary.”

“I’ll kill it. Wes, you’re coming with me.” Angel left the offices.

“Yes boss! Evil awaits!” Wesley quickly grabbed a battle axe off the wall and followed Angel out.

“I need another girl around here …” Cordy said, rolling her eyes and sighing. She went back to reading her magazine.

“Careful what you wish for.” Cordy jumped out of her seat, she was surprised to see Lilah standing in the doorway.

“Lilah. What are you doing here? We don’t take vacuous, tramp lawyers as clients. Call us bias.” Cordy smirked as she got up to face Lilah.

“Enough of the lip, Barbie. I’m here on my own agenda. Wolfram and Hart have no idea I’m here.” Lilah made her way over to Cordy.

“And why should I believe this isn’t one of Wolfram and Hart’s tricks?” Cordy asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Because your boss is going to be dust if you don’t.” Lilah smiled a sly smile.

“Is that a threat?” Cordy slowly started to grab the heavy book on her desk, without Lilah’s knowing.

“It is if you’re him. Now are you going listen or hit me with that book?” Cordelia slid her hand away from the book and stared at Lilah.

“Why are you here?” she asked.

“Look, honey, don’t take this the wrong way. I like you, you’re tough. You’d be a very powerful asset to the firm.” Lilah smirked.

“Woops, I’m bored already. Get to something important, or I’ll throw you out of this office.” Cordy may not have had the strength, but Lilah didn’t know that.

“The point is … your boss is becoming quite a handful. And Wolfram and Hart likes to take things in small intervals. If you don’t keep him under control –“ Lilah explained.

“Keep him under control?! He’s not a Boston terrier! He’s my friend and I’m not just gonna –“ Lilah interrupted.

“If you don’t keep your friend under control … the Senior Partners are going to take things in their own hands. And don’t take this as a threat. Think of it as an … awakening. We can do anything, here at Wolfram and Hart. We can kill who we want … and we can bring back whoever we want.” Lilah noticed the look of sadness on Cordy’s face when she mentioned bringing someone back. “You’ve lost someone … haven’t you? See, if you cooperate … we can help you! We don’t believe in enemies, Cordelia. We believe in alliances.”

“So … what are you saying?” Cordy asked, getting a tear in her eye.

“Keep Angel off our heels … and we’ll repay you. However you want. No strings. Think about it.” Lilah turned around and headed for the door. She turned around again, just before leaving. “Love the hair.”

After Lilah left, Cordelia sat down at her desk and brushed the hair out of her face. A tear slowly made its way down her cheek.

“Doyle.”

Chapter 2 - Visitor

“Did she accept your offer?” Holland Manners sat at his desk, looking at his paperwork very intently, writing things down every so often.

“She took the bait. But I’m still not sure if she’s going to fall for it. She’s a smart girl.” Lilah sat down opposite Holland and smiled sweetly. This was her boss, after all.

“Well, Ms. Morgan, you will see to it that this girl does fall for it. You’ve implanted the doubts, now’s the time to reap them.” Holland looked up at Lilah’s confused face. “Do you have any idea the things that girl could bring to Wolfram and Hart? I mean, the visions alone would be a godsend. If you were to rope her onto our side … well, there’s no telling how much the Senior Partners would repay you. They’re watching you very closely, Lilah … don’t let them down.”

“And Lindsey?” Lilah asked. She didn’t like Lindsey much. He was a brown-noser and everybody knew it. But somehow, Holland and the Senior Partners adored him.

“Lindsey has his own agenda. This is your project, Lilah. Use it wisely or … Well, you remember the last time someone let down the Senior Partners.” Lilah knew what had happened and she didn’t want it to happen to her. She quickly got up from her seat, nodded to Holland and walked out of the office. As she went down the hall she ran into Lindsey, who was chattering with another colleague.

“Well, if it isn’t the golden child himself.” Lilah smirked at her remark and pulled Lindsey aside. “What’s your new project?”

“Lilah, now why would I go out giving off such vital information like that?” Lindsey let out a smirk and followed Lilah down the hall again.

“Look, you know how I’m supposed to be getting this Cordy chick on our side. I need to know what you’re doing. Holland said it was top secret.” Lilah smiled at a passerby and quickly frowned back at Lindsey.

“Yeah, it is. Which means you have no business in it.” Lindsey got out his clearance card and swiped it at a door. It opened, and they walked in.

“Lindsey, don’t play with me. You know I’d tell you if you asked me. That’s what this job is about. Getting to know your competition.” Lilah walked in front of Lindsey and got up close to his face. “What is it?”

Lindsey hesitated and sat down at his desk. He grabbed some files from his drawer.

“Shut the door.” Lilah did just this and went over to sit in front of Lindsey.

“Sounds serious.” Lilah remarked and sat down.

Lindsey started telling Lilah his new project. Lilah, listening intently, spoke up when he was finished.

“Lindsey, that’s crazy … I like it. How can I help?” Lilah asked, now really intrigued.

“You don’t. This is mine, Lilah. Now leave, Holland already suspects me.” Lindsey wrote something down on his notepad.

“Well, why wouldn’t he? This is going against everything Holland planned. If you were caught …” Lilah frowned.

“I know, which is why we have to be careful. Do you promise not to say a word?” Lindsey asked, getting close to Lilah.

“Of course, it’s not like I have anything better to do.” Lilah smiled and jumped as her cell phone rang. She answered it. “Yes. No. Did he say that? Well tell him if he doesn’t fess up, we’ll kill his family … that was a joke, Lee. Okay, I’ll be there in a sec. Okay … bye.” Lilah hung up her phone and looked at Lindsey. “We’ll finish this later.” She got up and walked out the door.

“A lawyer in love … God, save me the pain.” Lindsey went back to his files and paperwork.

Meanwhile, at Angel Investigations, Cordelia was still reeling from her meeting with Lilah. She didn’t really have too much time to think though, because Angel and Wesley quickly came through the door drenched in a yellow liquid.

“We fought hard, but in the end we slayed the fiend! I say, good show. Good show.” Wesley quickly sat down and wiped his forehead.

“So … I guess you guys are okay?” Cordy asked, wiping the tear from her eye.

“Well, it was pretty easy considering. I’ve seen worse.” Angel piped up, cleaning off the axe.

“It was very exhilarating. Much better than that Bowflex 3000 I ordered off the television. Doesn’t do much for my cardio.” Wesley said, drinking a cup of coffee he had made.

“Well, um, sorry I missed it. Sounds like fun.” Cordy mentioned softly.

“Nah, it was kind of boring. You didn’t miss much.” Angel said, sitting down at his desk looking at a book.

“Well, Cordy … whenever you have another vision we’ll be right there in a clinch! Ready to fight that evil!” Wesley said, not noticing the figure standing behind him in the doorway.

“Well, it’s good that you’re so gun-ho about everything, Wes.” Buffy walked in and smiled at all the confused faces.

Chapter 3 (Part 1) - News

“Buffy?” Angel asked, looking quite uncomfortable. The two had decided together that being apart was the best choice for the both of them. They weren’t supposed to just visit on whim.

“Nice place, I gotta say. It could use some color though,” Buffy said, noticing the look on Angel’s face. “Don’t worry, I’m here on business. Can I talk to you … in private?”

Angel nodded to Cordelia and Wesley, who made their way outside the building. Buffy walked into Angel’s office, noticing the lack of the décor.

“You really need a woman’s touch. I’m surprised Cordy hasn’t covered it with leopard prints by now.” Buffy said with a smirk. When she noticed Angel wasn’t laughing, she quickly got serious. “Things are bad.”

“How so? New evil … nothing you haven’t faced before.” Angel said, looking more alone than usual.

“Uh, no … No, that’s not what the matter is. Um …” Buffy quickly started to tear up, but kept her cool. “Its Willow … she was working on this spell that would do this really cool thing. Yeah, well, she’s in a coma.” Buffy really started to cry.

Angel quickly got up to console Buffy but she pushed him away.

“Y-you’d think … I mean, it seems like everyone’s going into a coma nowadays. Faith … well, there’s mainly just Faith.” Buffy slowly fell into Angel’s arms sobbing uncontrollably. Eventually, Angel soothed her enough for her to speak.

“Um, but that’s not all,” she said, wiping the tears from her eyes. “They say she may never wake up. The brain damage is too severe … I just needed someone to go to. Not Giles … not Xander. You were the only one. I don’t want her to die Angel. I can’t watch her die.” Angel led Buffy downstairs and laid her on his bed. She lied there, not saying a word. Just crying.

“Shh. It’s okay. Don’t worry. Willow’s a tough girl. If there’s any witch that can pull through this … it’s her.” Angel said, soothingly. Of course, he didn’t know the details. He quickly ran to the phone and dialed Giles’ phone number. He let it ring a couple times until someone on the other line answered it.

“Hello?” Giles asked, seeming very tired or drunk.

“Giles. It’s me … Angel. Buffy’s here in LA –“

“Buffy’s there? With you? Oh thank God, we were wondering where she had gone off to. Ever since Willow … I expect you know about Willow?” Giles said, his tone getting softer and softer.

“Yes. Buffy told me. How did this happen?” Angel asked, every so often looking at Buffy.

“It was a spell. I told her not to go through with it … but she said she was an experienced witch and she didn’t need anyone telling her how to do things. When she was done she seemed fine … but that’s when … when she collapsed.” Giles said, a tear in his eye.

“What was the spell, Giles?” Angel asked again, growing impatient.

“S-she was trying to bring forth the goddess Chestkai … t-to make Buffy invisible to infiltrate The Initiative. To see what was going on. Well … the spell didn’t work. But it did a toll on her. They don’t expect her to live, Angel.” Giles mentioned, trying to stop from crying.

“Okay, well, I have Buffy here on my bed crying her eyes out. I’m going to take care of this, just give me time.” Angel hanged up the phone and turned around to see Buffy holding a crow-bar at Angel’s face, ready to strike.

“God, you are so gullible.” Buffy quickly struck a blow onto Angel with the crow-bar, rendering him unconscious and lying on the floor … blood spilling from his mouth.

Chapter 3 (Part 2) - Deception

Wolfram and Hart

“So … did our little magic act work?” Holland was once again seated at his desk, looking out the window. His back is away from the assailant.

“It was simple. Daddy missed the little girl. He would do anything …” the unknown person began to laugh uncontrollably. “He’d die for her.”

“Very good,” Holland turned around to meet them. “Drusilla.”

“Grand mum would be very cross. Spank me till Tuesday!” Drusilla smiled and looked at Holland. “Where is Grand mum?”

“Ah yes … Darla. We brought her back, expecting her to turn Angel. Turns out, he drove her out of town. She’s still a vampire, don’t worry. I have a feeling we haven’t seen the last of our girl.” Holland explained, still smiling at Dru.

“Grand mum is very tough. Tough as leather. Not ever Daddy could tame her …” Drusilla began to giggle. “Will I get to see him again?”

“Angel is currently in our containment area. The Pixlyian dust you acquired to transform yourself into Buffy was a very good plan, Drusilla. It’s amazing we were able to obtain voice records of Mr. Rupert Giles … thanks to the Watcher’s Council. They really don’t want him to succeed. But anyway, if he causes more trouble … you can torture him a little more. Anything to bring up the past.” Holland looked down at his notepad. “And also … it was very smart of you to think of the witch thing. That girl couldn’t be put in a coma if she wanted to … she’s going to play a big part in the coming apocalypse. Now why would the Powers do that to her? Angel should know better.”

“Daddy was blinded by love … couldn’t see straight. The girl … the girl did it to him.” Drusilla looked up at Holland, looking very evil. “The girl did it to my Spike too. She tamed him … made him … good! I’ll find her … I’ll kill her.”

“All in good time, Drusilla. All in good time. First we need to focus on Angel –“

Dru quickly looked at the ceiling, smiling.

“Angelus is very angry. He’s awake … and he’s not happy.” Drusilla immediately started to laugh.

Plaza Shopping Mall

“Who does Buffy think she is? I mean, she thinks she can just waltz in here and do whatever the hell she wants. In the meantime, she’s making Angel go crazy because he misses her so much!” Cordy explained, sipping on her cappuccino with Wesley walking beside her.

“I’m sure she’s here on business. She probably has good reason to be here. Give her a little slack.” Wesley said, reading the back of a new book he had just purchased. All of a sudden, Cordy’s phone began to ring.

“Hm, hold on a sec.”

Cordy opened up her bag and got her phone out. On it, it says: “New phone message – Rosenberg, Willow.”

“Hey, it’s from Willow.” Cordy exclaimed, and answered her phone. “Hey Will! … Things are great, Angel is just as broody as usual … No, Wesley’s still incredibly stupid.”

Wesley shot Cordy a dirty look.

“Uh-huh … What? … Buffy says ‘hi’? … No, Will, Buffy’s here in LA. She’s with Angel …” Cordy gave Wes a suspicious look. “She’s at The Bronze with Riley … Ohh, well, I guess it’s just the crazy pills talking. I’ll talk to you later … okay … buh-bye!”

Cordy pushed Wesley, making him almost drop his book.

“Ah-ha! It’s not really Buffy! It’s an imposter Buffy! A … A shape-shifter Buffy. Was I right or what?!” Cordy smiled.

“Um … as much as I’d like to congratulate you … but shouldn’t we warn Angel?” Cordy looked up at Wes. They immediately ran as fast as they could back to Angel Investigations.

When they got to the offices, they quickly ran downstairs hoping they would still be there. But all they saw was a puddle of blood … no Angel or Buffy.

“This looks rather … bad.” Wesley said, shocked. Cordelia had no time to respond, however. She immediately fell to the ground, holding her head and screaming out loud. After a few seconds, Wesley helped her up and put her on the bed. Cordy looked up at Wes, looking very surprised.

“Guess whose back in town …” Cordy took a breath. “Darla.”

Chapter 4 - Conversation

Wolfram and Hart: Containment Area

Angel lay shackled to a stone wall, bloodied and beaten. His eyes opened to see Drusilla standing over him, smiling.

“Aw, Daddy’s awake. Did you sleep well?” Drusilla sat down in front of Angel, still smiling.

“Drusilla?” Angel asked groggily. He thought he was dreaming.

“Yes. Yes, it’s me.” Drusilla put her hand on Angel’s cheek. He sighed, and then realized who he was talking to.

“Don’t touch me,” Angel said quickly, turning his head away. Drusilla growled.

“Angelus thinks he’s too good, is it? Thinks he can resist temptation,” Drusilla rolled her eyes and stood up, pacing. “Daddy and his soul. If Grand mum could see you now ...”

“Yeah, Dru, well Grand mum isn’t here. She’s dead … to me anyway.” Angel looked at the men guarding the door. “Well, well, well … I always knew you were crazy but aligning with Wolfram and Hart? Dru … I thought you knew better.” Angel smirked.

Drusilla began laughing a little, and turned her back to Angel. She walked over to one of the guards and sniffed his neck.

“Do you like them then?” Drusilla smiled and twisted the guard’s neck until it broke. He fell to the ground. The other guard looking scared, continued to look forward not moving a muscle. “He seemed dull …” Drusilla smiled again and went back to Angel. She moved up to Angel’s ear and purred, trying to stifle a laugh.

“They think I work for them, but …”Drusilla stopped laughing and got up face-to-face with Angel. “I’m evil.” Drusilla immediately began to laugh maniacally, while dancing in front of Angel.

“Run and catch … run and catch … the lamb is caught in the blackberry patch.” Drusilla began to sing this song over and over until Angel rolled his eyes.

“Dru … please. Even when I was evil, I couldn’t take listening to you ramble.” Angel smiled.

“Daddy is cross … just like I imagined. He won’t be over for tea and crumpets … oh no, he’ll be long gone. No tea for Daddy!” Drusilla began crawling to Angel on her hands and knees and lay down on his stomach. “Everyone’s left me …” Drusilla began to cry.

Angel had not even begun to understand what Drusilla meant by ‘tea and crumpets.’ He was used to her psychotic ramblings, so he just assumed they were random.

“Grand mum ….” Drusilla whispered, opening her eyes. She still lay there on Angel, not saying a word.

“Darla was no use to you, Dru. You know that.” Angel didn’t know what was taking over him. He was shackled to the wall so he couldn’t stake Drusilla like he wanted to. But he almost felt sorry for the poor woman that was crying in his lap.

“No … Grand mum … Grand mum is here. She’s having clowns for supper but no one’s attending! She’s very furious!” Drusilla began to cry uncontrollably. “She’s very furious with me!”

“Shh, Dru. Darla’s not here. She’s probably in Mexico sleeping with every man she can find …” Now Angel was comforting her … what was up with him? On a normal day, he would’ve just staked Drusilla and gone on with is un-life. Especially after they posed as his one true love and knocked him unconscious with a crow-bar.

“You make her out to be a tyrant … she’s more. She’s a tight-rope walker … on the verge of climax … help her, she says. She wants your help.” Drusilla began to stop crying and looked up at Angel. If only she could have her Angelus … everything would be fine.

Angel began suspecting something was up. Drusilla must’ve had a vision of some kind … about Darla.

“Where is she Drusilla? Tell me … where is she?” Angel asked, not caring about Drusilla anymore. Dru noticed and got up immediately. She was always kind of jealous of Darla. They had been good friends, of course. But she always got first prize … Drusilla only got seconds.

“Why? Grand mum wouldn’t dare come to you … you’re not her Angelus anymore. You have a soul and she’s disgusted.” Drusilla began to walk out.

“Wait …” Drusilla turned around to see what Angel had to say. “Go to hell, Dru.

Drusilla waited a few seconds, pondering the statement in her head.

“Only if you’re there with me, Angelus.” Drusilla walked out the door as the guard opened it for her. As the door closed Angel sighed and closed his eyes. If Darla were in LA, things would be getting very interesting, very fast.

Lilah’s Office: Wolfram and Hart

“You know I’m only here because I believe in what you’re trying to do.” A dark figure with its face covered with a veil made its way over to Lilah’s desk, who was sitting in it looking at them. “Don’t think this is some … alliance.”

“No, we’ve had far too many of those this week.” Lilah giggled and signed a few documents. “But you understand how important this is – Well, not to Wolfram and Hart … but definitely to Lindsey and me.”

“Oh yes … I understand completely.” The figure lowered their veil revealing their face. It was Darla. “Angelus deserves it.”

“Well, Darla … Angelus will get what he deserves in time … but right now, we need you to cooperate. The only way we’ll be able to get Angel human is if we go the long route, the easy route. That’s to stake, bring him back as human, etc. But we’ve tried that before …” Darla smiled as the same thing had happened to her. “Or we can go the long way … the painful way. We can do a little hocus pocus and make him human again. Then you can sire him.”

“Why don’t you just make me sleep with him? Make him lose his soul that way …” Darla asked, confused as to why they would go to all this trouble.

“Because we want Angel to suffer. We don’t care about the end result … we only care about how we get there. Which is why …” Lilah noticed the door opening. Emerging from it came Drusilla, fresh from the dungeon.

“Drusilla?” Darla asked. “Why are you here?”

“Daddy’s been getting cocky … needed to tame him down.” Drusilla smiled and sat beside Darla.

“Okay, so this whole ‘I’m the only one who can make this work’ shtick was a complete fib, huh?” Darla asked, looking a bit disappointed.

“Darla, we need the both of you. You both can work your own tricks. Right now, the ball is in Drusilla’s court.” Lilah remarked, and turned back to Dru. “Does he think you’re on Wolfram and Hart’s side?”

“He pens me deviant … betraying him. He doesn’t know it’s for his own good!” Drusilla replied.

“Good … and Holland? He still thinks his plan is being undertaken?” Lilah asked.

“The bear is in the mouse hole … and the cheese is no where in sight.” Drusilla smiled. Lilah thought this was good and went back to the both of them.

“Angel will be kept in our cell all night. When he wakes tomorrow morning, Darla will show up. He’ll think he’s dreaming. You’ll try to get as much information out of him as you can, Darla. Now, at about 10:00 Lindsey will un-cuff Angel and tell him that he doesn’t deserve to be here. He’ll set him free. Angel will go back home at approximately 10:15. Now, Drusilla will follow him home to his place … this is where it will get complicated. He’ll probably want to fight you, so stay on your guard, Drusilla. After about 30 minutes of talking, Darla will arrive and you two will perform the spell to make him human. He’ll be grateful … and then he’ll be insolent. But whatever you do, don’t let his sidekicks get in the way. They’ll destroy everything. You will then report back to me or Lindsey when you’re through.” Lilah smiled at her brilliant plan.

“Sounds fun,” Darla replied. “You humans have some spunk, I must say.”

“Yeah, but mostly we’re just slimy toad skins trying to get ahead in life …” The girls looked to the doorway to see Cordelia standing there. “Hey, girls. I believe you have a job for me.”
