Kennedy sits up smiling and confident.

CAMERA ON: A lady behind the counter, BUFFY in front of it.
LADY

CAMERA ON: DAWN and LUX.
DAWN
Hi, I'm Dawn.

35 INT. SUMMER'S RESIDENCE KITCHEN - NIGHT
BUFFY
You promise to let me train you.
DAWN (surprised)
Are you kidding? Off course I will, that's just so-o-o wild!!!
BUFFY
Well I'm glad you think about it this way, but I promise you, I'm not easy.
DAWN
So, does this like mean, you will be going to slay again?
BUFFY
No-no-no! I'll just train you, apart from that, I'm just a girl

17 INT. MONASTERY CHAPEL - DAY
KENNEDY walks up to the VAMPIRE MONK, hanging from the girder and steps on his hand. He looks down and then looks up at her.
VAMPIRE MONK
I didn't drop you!
KENNEDY
But you should have.
She kicks his hand and he lets go. He falls down, but changes into about a hundred bats again. They fly up till they're at her height between the beams. They stay at the same height, and flap at the same spot. Together they form his body.
VAMPIRE MONK (as the bats, furious)
And you, you call yourself a slayer?
KENNEDY (scared)
Um, yes??
The number of bats begins to multiply and the VAMPIRE MONK grows bigger and bigger. The whole church begins to tremble.
VAMPIRE MONK (as the bats, furious)
You don't have the spirit of a true slayer.
The doors now all smash open and bats come flying from all of them.
KENNEDY (scared, with trembling voice.)
I... I-m sorry?
VAMPIRE MONK (as the bats, furious)
You're just a girl.
CUT TO:
CAMERA ON: VAMPIRE MONK, on the ground, heavily bleeding.
WILLOW
How can he be...? You're not a real vampire, are you?
The VAMPIRE MONK smirks.
CUT TO:
20 INT. SUMMER'S RESIDENCE - NIGHT
KENNEDY
By the way, you'll be pleased to hear that your training has totally worked.
BUFFY
Oh really, so how'd she do? Give me details.
KENNEDY looks at DAWN and smiles.
KENNEDY
Well, she doesn't have strength like us, but she used her wits, which made up for it.
CAMERA ON: BUFFY, looking proud at DAWN, who's feeling a bit embarrassed.

TEASER

1 EXT. SILVERDUST BACK ALLEY – NIGHT
CAMERA ON – DAWN holding a stake. A VAMPIRE is looking at her, he growls at DAWN.
DAWN
Come on then…uh…come and get it!
DAWN moves into a fighting position while VAMPIRE moves closer to her. DAWN swings her stake at the VAMPIRE but, misses. KENNEDY pops her head out of the door.
KENNEDY
Need help?
DAWN
Yu-huh!
KENNEDY moves on in to the VAMPIRE. DAWN throws her stake to KENNEDY, who catches it. The VAMPIRE throws a punch at KENNEDY, who ducks, grabs his arm from underneath, then pushes up. We here something ‘crack’. KENNEDY slams the stake into the VAMPIRE; we see the dust fade away.
DAWN
Thanks.
KENNEDY
Don’t mention it.
CLOSE UP: DAWNS face. She looks disappointed.
KENNEDY
Don’t worry about it Dawn. You tried your best.
DAWN
I know, I’m just disappointed is all.
KENNEDY
Wanna go back in?
DAWN nods, and the girls walk back into Silverdust.

2. INT. SUMMER’S RESIDENCE – DAY
CAMERA ON: BUFFY, who has her head poking through the kitchen door, peeking into the hall.
BUFFY (shouting)
Dawn! Are you ready yet?
DAWN (shouting)
Almost! Hold on!
The camera follows BUFFY as she walks back into the kitchen. XANDER is sitting down.
BUFFY
Sure you don’t mind dropping her off?
XANDER
I’m sure. Got nothing better to do today anyway.
BUFFY
I thought you had a meeting, again.
XANDER
Nah. Ok, well I did, but they cancelled it.
BUFFY
Why?
XANDER
Oh, nothing really. Its not, cancelled, cancelled, just being re-scheduled.
CAMERA ON: DAWN coming downstairs. DAWN walks into the kitchen, and picks up a banana from the table.
DAWN
Ok, I’m ready.
XANDER gets up. DAWN hugs BUFFY, then she goes to the front door.
DAWN
See ya later Buffy!
BUFFY
Bye!
XANDER smiles at BUFFY, then walks to the door, and opens it, DAWN and XANDER exit.
3 INT. EDMONSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL – DAY
CAMERA ON: DAWN as walks into the hallway. She sees LUX in the distance and walks over to her.
DAWN
Hey!
LUX
Hey Dawn!
DAWN and LUX start walking.
LUX
So, what did you do yesterday?
DAWN
There was some boredom, followed by some more boredom, ooh, and do you know what else?
LUX
Boredom?
DAWN
Ten points to Lux!
A girl walks past DAWN and LUX in tears, and into the girls bathroom.
DAWN
Who’s that?
LUX
Oh her, that’s Kara. She’s always crying, doesn’t have any friends, that’s what I figure.
DAWN
Sad.
LUX
Yeah. (pause) So, aren’t you going to ask me about my day?
DAWN (distracted)
How was your-
LUX
It was great! My mom done a homemade pizza!
DAWN looks at LUX confused.
LUX
Ok, maybe I do need to get out more, but hey… pizza!
DAWN
Lux, I gotta go bathroom, see you in class, ok?
LUX
Sure.
DAWN starts to walk off.
LUX (shouting)
Dawn!
DAWN turns around.
LUX (shouting)
Don’t get too close to Kara! She’s weird.
DAWN carries on to the bathroom
4 INT. BATHROOM – DAY
CAMERA PANS across the toilet cubicles, we stop at the one where sobbing can be heard from. DAWN moves toward it. She knocks onto the toilet door.
DAWN
Hello?
The sobbing stops.
DAWN
Kara?
KARA
Who is it?
DAWN
Hi, it’s Dawn. Dawn Summers, I don’t think I have any classes with you, but I just wanted to make sure you were ok.
The door opens, and reveals KARA, whose mascara is running. She steps outside and walks to the sinks. DAWN turns to her.
DAWN
Are you? Uh, ok?
(KARA talks to DAWN from the mirror)
KARA
Yes. Yeah. Thanks.
KARA wipes her eyes with tissue.
DAWN
What happened?
KARA
Same thing that always does.
DAWN (confused)
Huh?
KARA
You wouldn’t understand.
KARA turns around, facing DAWN.
KARA
You’d think I’m weird.
DAWN
Try me.
KARA
Just forget it, I’m ok now.
DAWN (louder)
I said ‘try me’.
KARA
Please don’t tell anyone, I’m already scared enough.
DAWN
Promise.
KARA
I don’t know how to explain it, but there’s something wrong… with me. W-when I touch people, I get these, visions, don’t know from where, but I see them dying.
KARA starts to cry again.
KARA
I don’t know why it happens, but I know I don’t like it.
DAWN
I-I don’t know what to say.
KARA
You think I’m crazy.
DAWN
No-no-no! Didn’t say that, I believe you, I do!
KARA
It’s ok, everyone else does.
KARA pushes past DAWN and leaves the bathroom.
CAMERA ON: DAWNS face from the mirror.
5 INT. CHEMISTRY LAB – DAY
The CAMERA PANS across the room to reveal DAWN and LUX sitting next to each other. The TEACHER’s voice can be heard in the background.
LUX
But why?
DAWN
Because, magic’s dangerous!
LUX
How do you know?
DAWN
Believe me, I know.
The door opens and KARA walks in. She heads over to the TEACHER.
KARA
Sorry I'm late, I was sort of… upset.
TEACHER
That’s ok, just sit down.
KARA sits at a desk on her own.
LUX
Hey look, it's your new best friend.
DAWN
What do you mean?
LUX
Her!
LUX points at KARA.
DAWN
I'm just worried about her, nothing special.
LUX
But there’s rumours around school, and she is kind of weird Dawn.
DAWN
What kind of rumours?
LUX
Well, apparently, she has some kind of power, when people talk to her, they like die, sometime after.
DAWN
I-I spoke to her.
LUX
Dawn, it's just a rumour. Don’t worry about it.
6 INT. SUMMER’S RESIDENCE – EVENING
CAMERA ON: DAWN and WILLOW folding their clothes.
DAWN
So then, she said Lux told me about how people who’ve spoke to her, die later.
BUFFY
Later in the day?
DAWN
I don’t know, maybe.
BUFFY
Because, you know, you should get your money back.
DAWN looks puzzled.
BUFFY
Because you didn’t die…
DAWN
Hey! And besides, it's not like that anyway.
BUFFY
Maybe this girl does have that power, you should speak to her, she sounds scared, and she might need someone to talk to.
DAWN
Can't you do it? I'm not good with confrontation.
BUFFY
Oh no! Buffy is off the supernatural list, you’ll have to sort this out yourself.
DAWN
She’s not a vampire! She just has something she can't control. You’re just lazy.
BUFFY
Am not!
DAWN
Ok, now you’re being childish.
BUFFY
You know when you’ve lost your mind, when your kid sister calls you childish.

7 INT. KARA’S HOUSE – NIGHT
CAMERA ON: KARA who is in her bedroom crying.
There is a knock at her door.
KARA’S MOTHER (O.S)
Honey? Are you ok?
KARA
Yeah mom, I'm ok.
KARA'S MOTHER (O.S)
You sure, you sound like your all upset.
KARA
I'm fine.
KARA'S MOTHER (O.S)
Ok.
8 INT. SUMMER’S RESIDENCE – NIGHT
CAMERA ON: XANDER holding the phone, he’s standing by the door in the hall.
XANDER
Dawn! Somebody’s on the phone. Karla or someone.
DAWN comes out of her room and walks to XANDER.
DAWN
You mean Kara?
XANDER
That’s the one.
XANDER hands DAWN the phone, and walks into the kitchen.
DAWN
Hello?
KARA (On the Phone)
Dawn?
DAWN
Yeah. Hey Kara, what's up?
KARA (On the Phone)
I hope you don’t mind me calling.
DAWN
No it's fine. How’d you get it anyway?
KARA (On the Phone)
Lux gave it to me. I-I just needed to speak to you.
DAWN
Didn’t know you and Lux spoke.
KARA (On The Phone)
Uh, we don’t, Lux is the only person I know, who’s got a connection to you.
DAWN
Ok. Anyway, are you ok?
KARA (On The Phone)
It's just, you’re the only one who’s like ever believed me, at least I think you do-
DAWN
Oh I do! I swear.
KARA (On The Phone)
I was thinking, maybe you could help me, with something.
9 INT. WILLOW AND KENNEDY’S DORM – NIGHT
CAMERA ON: WILLOW on the bed, who is reading a magic book. KENNEDY is putting make-up on in the mirror.
KENNEDY
So Will, what you wanna do tonight?
WILLOW
I dunno, I was thinking maybe going over to Buffy’s.
KENNEDY
You don’t wanna patrol?
WILLOW
Yeah, I meant you know, as the whole thing on the side… uh… thing.
KENNEDY
What?
WILLOW
Never mind.
KENNEDY
Dawn’s feeling a bit down.
WILLOW
Really? Why?
KENNEDY
Because you know, of the whole, family with superpowers and all.
WILLOW
That’s nothing different. She’s always been surrounded by ‘supernatural’ friends and family.
KENNEDY
Yeah but I think it's more because you know, finally, she has found something she could help with, and now we all seem to be rubbing it in her face that we can do better than her.
WILLOW
But she’s still just little Dawnie. She gets that.
KENNEDY
I don’t think she does.
10 INT. KARA’S HOUSE - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: DAWN as she walks into the house. KARA’S MOTHER takes DAWN’S coat and hangs it up.
DAWN
Thanks for letting me come here, so late and all.
KARA’S MOTHER
Oh, don’t you worry about it. It's nice to see Kara have a friend anyway.
KARA’S MOTHER walks toward the edge of the stairs.
KARA’S MOTHER (shouting)
Kara! Dawn’s here!
KARA comes down the stairs, and smiles at DAWN and KARA’S MOTHER.
KARA
Thanks mom.
KARA’S MOTHER stays still, and smiles at KARA and DAWN.
KARA moves her head, indicating she wants KARA’S MOTHER to leave.
KARA’S MOTHER
Oh, sorry honey.
KARA’S MOTHER exits.
DAWN (whispering)
She doesn’t know?
KARA shakes her head.
KARA
If I told her, she’d never look at me the same again.
KARA starts walking upstairs, toward her bedroom, DAWN follows.
11 INT. KARA’S BEDROOM – NIGHT
KARA is sitting on the edge of her bed, while DAWN is standing up.
DAWN
You’re sure you wanna do this?
KARA nods.
KARA
Ok. Here we go.
KARA leans out and touches DAWN’S cheek. DAWN gasps.
FLASH: It's dusk. A demon walks out of a flashy portal. He has no skin, he is just bone with one hook for a hand.
FLASH: It's now night. The demon is now in the some graveyard.
FLASH: DAWN being held up high with one hand by the throat. A hook moves toward her throat.
FLASH BACK
KARA moves back and let’s go of DAWN. She is panting, heavily.
DAWN goes toward KARA.
DAWN
Are you ok? Kara? Kara?
KARA doesn’t answer, but puts up her hand to DAWN. KARA then starts breathing normally.
KARA
That happens sometimes, sorry.
DAWN
What did you see?
KARA
I've never seen anything like it.
DAWN
What was it?
KARA
A monster.
12 INT. SUMMER’S RESIDENCE – NIGHT
CAMERA ON: DAWN, BUFFY and XANDER in the kitchen.
BUFFY
How could you let this happen!?
DAWN
What do you mean ‘let’? I was trying to help someone!
BUFFY
You aren't helping anyone! You’re getting a free-ticket to death!
DAWN
How? It's given me a heads-up. Her touching me doesn’t trigger my death; she's just shown how it's going to happen.
XANDER
You don’t know that Dawn. She could be lying. She might not even know herself. This girl sounds dangerous.
DAWN
I can't believe you two! Why can't you just trust someone for once?
BUFFY
We do, we trust you, we just wanna make sure your careful.
DAWN
Hello!? Sister of the Slayer here! I think I've gone past how to be careful.
BUFFY
Dawn, I don’t want you seeing that girl anymore. You’re staying home tomorrow.
DAWN huffs loudly, and then runs to her room.
BUFFY
I'm not being hard on her right?
XANDER shakes his head.
BUFFY
Really?
XANDER
I don’t know.
BUFFY (sarcastic)
Thanks, you’re a great help!
13 INT. SUMMER’S RESIDENCE – MORNING
CAMERA ON: DAWN in her bed. BUFFY walks into her bedroom.
BUFFY
Dawn? Dawn get up.
DAWN slowly opens her eyes.
DAWN
What time is it?
BUFFY looks at her watch.
BUFFY
Seven-thirty.
DAWN
Sev-Why didn’t you wake me up!?
BUFFY
Your not going to school today, not when you know, death is on the cards.
(Pause)
BUFFY
What the hell does that mean anyway?
DAWN
It might be years before this demon comes. Are you gonna lock me up for that long?
BUFFY
If I have to.
DAWN
Buff-
BUFFY
End of conversation.
BUFFY exits.
14 INT. SUMMER’S RESIDENCE – DAY
CAMERA ON: DAWN who is watching TV. She is alone in the house.
DAWN
TV used to be so much fun.
The phone rings.
DAWN runs to it and picks it up.
DAWN
Hello?
KARA (on the Phone)
Dawn?
DAWN
Hey Kara. How’d you know I was at home?
KARA (on the Phone)
Cause you’re not at school.
DAWN
You are?
KARA (on the Phone)
Yeah, why?
DAWN
I didn’t know they had phones at school!
KARA (on the Phone)
Dawn, this is serious.
DAWN
Ok, I'm listening.
KARA (on the Phone)
I wasn’t feeling well this morning, so I went out for a walk. It was really early.
(Pause)
DAWN
Yeah?
KARA (on the Phone)
That thing I saw, in my vision. It's here, in Edmonsville.
DAWN
You saw it?
KARA (on the Phone)
Y-Yeah. What should we do?
DAWN
I don’t know. What time of the day was it when you know, he… killed me?
KARA (on the Phone)
It was… um… night time. But don’t quote me on it.
DAWN
I’ll call my sister; she’ll know what to do.
KARA (on the Phone)
Ok. Do you want me to come over?
DAWN
You’re at school.
KARA (on the Phone)
Yeah, but I can get out, want me too?
DAWN
It’d probably help.
KARA (on the Phone)
Ok, see ya in about thirty.
DAWN
Ok. Bye.
DAWN puts the phone down.

15 EXT. EDMONSVILLE COLLEGE – DAY
CAMERA ON: WILLOW and KENNEDY as they walk through the outside area of Edmonsville College.
WILLOW’S cell phone starts to ring.
She answers it.
WILLOW
Hello?
(Long Pause)
KENNEDY looks puzzled.
WILLOW
Ok… um… we’ll be there as soon as we can… don’t worry Dawnie.
WILLOW switches off the phone, and turns to KENNEDY.
WILLOW
It's Dawn. She's in trouble.
16 INT. SUMMER’S RESIDENCE - DAY
BUFFY rushes into the house, and we see XANDER, KARA and DAWN in the sitting room.
BUFFY (breathless)
What's wrong?
DAWN
The demon I told you about, it's coming... Kara saw it.
BUFFY
What!?
DAWN
So much for my theory on the whole ‘it could be years before it comes’ thing huh?
BUFFY
We have to research this thing. It's strengths, weaknesses, everything.
XANDER
Already on it.
XANDER waves a thick book entitled ‘Demonology’
DAWN
Willow’s coming soon, I think.
BUFFY turns to KARA.
BUFFY
What does this thing look like?
KARA
A pirate, that’s lost all of it's skin.
(Pause)
KARA
It's just all bone. Pretty tough looking.
BUFFY picks up a book and throws it to KARA.
BUFFY
If it's in there, tell us.
DAWN
I already gave her the 411.
BUFFY
I don’t care, we need this thing sorted... now!
KARA stares at BUFFY.
BUFFY (to KARA)
Get to work! We haven’t got time!
DAWN stands up and grabs BUFFY’S arm. She takes BUFFY into the kitchen.
BUFFY
What?
DAWN
What the hell are you doing?!
BUFFY just looks on, confused.
DAWN
Bossing her around! She doesn’t know, she’s new to this, she didn’t even know vampires, and demons were real until yesterday!
BUFFY
Oh I'm sorry, I got the impression you didn’t want to die.
DAWN
I don’t.
BUFFY
Then grow up Dawn! This isn’t the time to be sweet and innocent about everything. This thing is coming for you, we don’t know why, or when it’ll be here, so you better hurry up and research.
DAWN
So you believe me now then?
BUFFY
I don’t know. I’d rather be prepared.
DAWN
Let’s just get this over with.
The front door opens, and WILLOW and KENNEDY enter.
XANDER
Hey guys.
BUFFY and DAWN walk back inside into the sitting room.
BUFFY
Will, can you look on the computer, Kennedy, Dawn, you try the books.
WILLOW and KENNEDY look puzzled.
DAWN
Don’t worry, I’ll fill you in.
17 INT. SUMMER’S RESIDENCE - NIGHT
KARA
Ok... there’s nothing in here about this guy!
(Pause)
KARA
Demon, I mean.
DAWN looks up at KARA, then at BUFFY, who is surrounding WILLOW and KENNEDY who are using the computer.
DAWN (to BUFFY)
There’s nothing on this end either.
XANDER (shouting)
This is useless!
They all look at XANDER.
XANDER
Just thought I’d join in with the ranting.
(Pause)
XANDER
I got nothing!
XANDER slams the book onto the table. BUFFY stands up and looks at everyone.
BUFFY (to KARA)
Kara, you said this thing was made of bone.
KARA nods.
XANDER
That’s right! Just get a big sledgehammer, and whack him.
XANDER gestures a swinging motion. He looks on, embarrassed.
BUFFY
No your right Xander.
XANDER (shocked)
I am!?
(Pause)
XANDER
I mean... of course I am!
KARA
It wasn’t human bone. It was thick, hard... strong.
WILLOW (shouting)
Ooh! I got something!
KARA rushes over to the computer screen.
KARA
That’s him!
(Pause)
KARA
Uh... it! Everyone gathers around the computer.
KENNEDY (reading from the screen)
Twalitor; race of bone-demons, blah blah blah, pulls the skin off children and takes their bones. Ewe!
BUFFY
Least we know why it's after Dawn. What else does it say?
WILLOW
It takes children's bones back to its world, and to its master, Flargol, who in return, makes a bone on the Twalitor bigger and stronger.
XANDER
What a complicated process to get a big bone.
XANDER realises what he just said.
XANDER
I'm shutting up now.
DAWN
Does it say anything about weaknesses?
WILLOW
Just that we would have to figure out which of his bones is weakest, and crush it. Once one piece is removed-
BUFFY (interrupting)
...the puzzles ruined. No more demon.
WILLOW
I’ll look up for a weakness spell. Makes the killing easier at least.
KENNEDY
All right, we'll get some weapons.
She walks to the door to the garage. DAWN follows her, KARA stands by, waiting, DAWN grabs her hand and drags her along.
18 INT. SUMMER’S RESIDENCE GARAGE - NIGHT (cont'd)
CAMERA ON: KENNEDY, DAWN and KARA walking in, they go straight for the weapons chest.
KENNEDY
What's it gonna be ladies?
DAWN
Axe please.
KENNEDY
Here you go.
KENNEDY hands over an axe with a big blades on both sides.
KENNEDY
I'm thinking the same, with bones, a sword or a crossbow won't do much damage.
She turns to KARA.
KENNEDY
Do you have any specific wishes.
KARA
I-I... uhm.
KENNEDY
Here.
KENNEDY hands her over a fire axe.
KENNEDY
You think you can handle this?
KARA
I can try...
KENNEDY walks to the door.
DAWN
Don't you need one?
KENNEDY turns around.
KENNEDY
I'm banking on lending the Scythe.
She walks out.
KARA
What's the Scythe.
DAWN
It's that big shiny weapon hanging on the wall.
KENNEDY walks back in. DAWN gives her a look. KENNEDY, looking grumpy, walks back in, grabs a baseball bat and walks back out.
DAWN laughs.
DAWN
C'mon let's go.

ACT IV
19 INT. SUMMER'S RESIDENCE - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: XANDER, BUFFY, KENNEDY, DAWN and KARA sitting at the dining table, WILLOW standing at the head of the table. She puts a just printed out map on the table.
WILLOW
Alright everyone here's the situation... There has been a disruption in the dimensional border here.
She points at the crematorium.
The structure of the border contains some scars, so it has been ripped before, which could mean it's not the first time our friend has visited this place before. It probably knows its way around here better then us.
She points out a spot in the graveyard.
Now this is where Dawn is to stay during the entire fight. We will form a circle around her. I'll be over here, Xander, you and Kara can stay over here and Kennedy you'll stay here.
BUFFY
Couldn't the demon just go for Dawn from here.

20 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: DAWN and BUFFY hands on the steering wheel of the dirt bike next to her. They're both looking around suspiciously for any kind of movement.
21 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: KENNEDY, bat in her hands looking around for the Twalitor.
22 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: XANDER and KARA, last one looking very nervous, both with axes.
23 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: WILLOW, white hairs, eyes and mouth closed.
WILLOW (V.O.)
Attention everyone here it comes.
24 INT. CREMATORIUM - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: A large hall with chairs all facing a plateau on which the coffins are normally set. On that same place now comes a small lighting, it fades. A pause. Larger electrical bolts making a ball. They fade again. Now an even larger one. It now sends small bolts in other directions as well, it's growing. It now begins firing aggressively. One bolts hits the front row of seats with get slung all over the place. The ball has now about an 8 feet diameter. There's a large flash and a bang. The light forms a figure of a human-shaped figure. ZOOM IN on the the ball as it implodes and completely disappears. CAMERA LOOK DOWN, THE TWALITOR on its knees and hands. It stands up and we can now only see it's face, it looks like the one WILLOW showed on the computer.
25 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: WILLOW, she opens her eyes.
WILLOW (V.O.)
He's here and he's coming straight for us.
BUFFY (V.O)
Alright, everyone ready?
KENNEDY (V.O.)
Rock 'n Roll, baby!
26 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: XANDER and KARA, she's twisting and turning and seems to have lost control. She's trying to get something of her neck, as if she's trying to break loose from an invisible hands strangling her.
XANDER
Not exactly, Kara has lost it, can you deal without us.
WILLOW (V.O.)
You're call Buffy.
BUFFY (V.O)
We'll handle!
XANDER
KARA! Wake up, Kara, it's alright, nothing is going to happen.
XANDER grabs her, at that moment she opens her eyes, there's a flash. XANDER tries to scream.
FADE TO:
27 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
BLACK AND WHITE ONLY
CAMERA ON: THE TWALITOR, holding Kara high up, he's trying to strangle her. She's twisting and turning, trying to get him to let her go.
FADE TO:
28 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: XANDER's scared face, he lets go off Kara, she drops to the ground. He kneels and feels her pulse, from his face we can see she's alive. He stands up again and looks clueless. Then it hits him.
XANDER (Screaming)
WILLOW! Willow , listen to me! Can you hear me? He's not after Dawn!
There's no response. XANDER picks up the axe and stands guard at KARA.
29 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: BUFFY and DAWN in the middle of the graveyard. They're both looking nervously around.
BUFFY (V.O.)
What's keeping him Willow, something is wrong, I can feel it.
WILLOW (V.O.)
He's closing in from Xander's side.
BUFFY (V.O.)
Have you warned him to get out?
WILLOW (V.O.)
I couldn't reach either of them, they weren't there.
BUFFY (V.O.)
What do you mean?
WILLOW (V.O.)
They're still there, but it was like their minds where somewhere else.
BUFFY (V.O.)
What can it mean?
WILLOW (V.O.)
Perhaps she had another vision.
BUFFY (V.O.)
...Willow? Who was originally supposed to be patrolling where tonight?
WILLOW (V.O.)
Funny you should ask, it was Dawn and... When she told us, she messed it up.
BUFFY (V.O.)
He's after her.
WILLOW (V.O.)
Kennedy, get over to Xander!
BUFFY starts her dirt bike, DAWN jumps on the back. They race off.
30 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: XANDER standing guard and KARA on the ground. She opens her eyes.
KARA
Xander?
He turns around and kneels at her.
XANDER
Are you alright?
KARA
I'm fine, just a little...
XANDER
What?
CAMERA ON: XANDER's face from KARA's point of view, THE TWALITOR is looking down on him.
THE TWALITOR grabs XANDER and throws him away. KARA rolls over as THE TWALITOR grabs for her too. She crawls up and starts to run. THE TWALITOR walks after her, heavy pace, not running.
31 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: BUFFY and DAWN, on the dirt bike. Passing the gravestones at high speed. There's a roof of a dug in crypt and she uses it as a ramp. She makes a jump and the CAMERA looks at it from beneath.
32 EXT. GRAVEYARD- NIGHT
CAMERA ON: KARA running, THE TWALITOR is right behind her. He grabs her by the arm and she turns around as he turns her arm around, but he turns it even further and we hear it snap. Then he lets go and she falls down. He steps to her, he stands in front of her and is about to finish her off. From the distance we can hear to sound of a dirt bike getting louder. He grabs her and pulls her up and he tries to strangle her, she twists and turns, and tries to get his hands off of her. Then right behind THE TWALITOR a dirt bike jumps out of the bushes, it jumps right behind him and as they pass, DAWN hits the THE TWALITOR in the back with her axe. BUFFY lands the bike and makes a sharp turn. DAWN steps off. BUFFY makes a sprint for KARA, and grabs her hands as she passes and slings her onto the back. THE TWALITOR is trying to grab the axe and pull it out of his back, but he can't reach it, then he sees DAWN and goes for her. DAWN jumps onto a gravestone and as THE TWALITOR tries to grab her legs, she jumps onto the next one, he again tries to grab her, but again she jumps and he stumbles and crushes the stone. Then he stands up and walks off in an other direction.
DAWN
Hey, what's the matter big guy, 'fraid of a little girl?
XANDER comes up from the bushes, limping.
XANDER
Dawn, don't...
He notices THE TWALITOR coming for him, he tries to back off. But the demon is quicker. DAWN makes a sprint for the demon, and just as she is about to grab the axe, which is still in his back, he turns around and hits her, she flies across a few feet and crashes into a gravestone. CAMERA MOVES UP: From DAWN to WILLOW, white haired, standing a few gravestone away from her.
WILLOW
Dawn, get Xander out of here.
THE TWALITOR looks at her then he walks to her, he let's DAWN, who hurries to XANDER, pass him. Then KENNEDY comes up from behind him.
KENNEDY
Playtime?
WILLOW nods.
Play-time.
THE TWALITOR turns around. KENNEDY hits him in the face with the baseball bat. He takes a step back. He grumbles. He swings at her with his hook, but she blocks with the bat. He swing with the other arm, but KENNEDY ducks it. She swings at the inside of his right knee. As response he bends it and falls on his knee. She then swing the bat at his face and hits him full on, he falls on his back, the axe gets shoved in deeper. KENNEDY is about to strike again, but he grabs the bat with his hand and puts his hook around it and kicks her away. She crashes a few feet away.
KENNEDY
Damn.
WILLOW
Just a little longer, I'm nearly there.
CAMERA ON: WILLOW, mumbling something, a green small balls is growing in front of her.
CAMERA MOVES BACK TO: THE TWALITOR and KENNEDY, circkeling around each other, waiting for the other one to make the first move. THE TWALITOR has the bat in his hand. He throws it at her, she ducks, he steps forward and smashes on her back, she falls down. He picks her up. She hits him, but she quickly grabs for her hurtful hand. It seems to have no effect on him. He begins to strangle her. She tries to get his hands of but, no luck.
KENNEDY (whispering)
Wil-low!?!
THE TWALITOR opens its mouth, a green light is coming from it and it's starting to glow brighter. CAMERA MOVES around him, to see WILLOW has completed her ritual and now stretches her hands, it sends her green ball flying right at his mouth it hits him and swallows it. He drops KENNEDY and tries to grab the axe from his back. CAMERA ON: the axe, the bone around it is starting to crack. CAMERA MOVES AROUND to see the front of him, the cracks from behind start to spread to his front, they're glowing green. Then he explodes, small sharp pieces of bone are scattered over the place. KENNEDY and WILLOW's faces have little cuts on them. WILLOW joins KENNEDY and they look at the place he used to be in, and then walk off.
33 INT. HOSPITAL - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: KARA in the bed, her arm in some bandage. DAWN, KENNEDY, XANDER, WILLOW and BUFFY standing around her bed. XANDER leaning on DAWN, and WILLOW and KENNEDY with band aids on their faces and arms.
BUFFY
I've called your mom, she's on her way. The doctors said you'd have to stay in the hospital for a few days, and at home for a week or two, and even after, you'll have to take it easy.
KARA looks down.
BUFFY
You're gonna be fine, you did fine.
KARA
It's not that, I'm worried about.
BUFFY
Then what are you about?
KARA looks down again, shamefully, then looks up!
KARA
What am I gonna tell to my mom happened?

17 INT. MONASTERY CHAPEL - DAY
KENNEDY walks up to the VAMPIRE MONK, hanging from the girder and steps on his hand. He looks down and then looks up at her.
VAMPIRE MONK
I didn't drop you!
KENNEDY
But you should have.
She kicks his hand and he lets go. He falls down, but changes into about a hundred bats again. They fly up till they're at her height between the beams. They stay at the same height, and flap at the same spot. Together they form his body.
VAMPIRE MONK (as the bats, furious)
And you, you call yourself a slayer?
KENNEDY (scared)
Um, yes??
The number of bats begins to multiply and the VAMPIRE MONK grows bigger and bigger. The whole church begins to tremble.
VAMPIRE MONK (as the bats, furious)
You don't have the spirit of a true slayer.
The doors now all smash open and bats come flying from all of them.
KENNEDY (scared, with trembling voice.)
I... I-m sorry?
VAMPIRE MONK (as the bats, furious)
You're just a girl.
CUT TO:
CAMERA ON: VAMPIRE MONK, on the ground, heavily bleeding.
WILLOW
How can he be...? You're not a real vampire, are you?
The VAMPIRE MONK smirks.
CUT TO:
20 INT. SUMMER'S RESIDENCE - NIGHT
KENNEDY
By the way, you'll be pleased to hear that your training has totally worked.
BUFFY
Oh really, so how'd she do? Give me details.
KENNEDY looks at DAWN and smiles.
KENNEDY
Well, she doesn't have strength like us, but she used her wits, which made up for it.
CAMERA ON: BUFFY, looking proud at DAWN, who's feeling a bit embarrassed.

1 EXT. SILVERDUST BACK ALLEY – NIGHT
CAMERA ON – DAWN holding a stake. A VAMPIRE is looking at her, he growls at DAWN.
DAWN
Come on then…uh…come and get it!
DAWN moves into a fighting position while VAMPIRE moves closer to her. DAWN swings her stake at the VAMPIRE but, misses. KENNEDY pops her head out of the door.
KENNEDY
Need help?
DAWN
Yu-huh!
KENNEDY moves on in to the VAMPIRE. DAWN throws her stake to KENNEDY, who catches it. The VAMPIRE throws a punch at KENNEDY, who ducks, grabs his arm from underneath, then pushes up. We here something ‘crack’. KENNEDY slams the stake into the VAMPIRE; we see the dust fade away.
DAWN
Thanks.
KENNEDY
Don’t mention it.
CLOSE UP: DAWNS face. She looks disappointed.
KENNEDY
Don’t worry about it Dawn. You tried your best.
DAWN
I know, I’m just disappointed is all.
KENNEDY
Wanna go back in?
DAWN nods, and the girls walk back into Silverdust.

2. INT. SUMMER’S RESIDENCE – DAY
CAMERA ON: BUFFY, who has her head poking through the kitchen door, peeking into the hall.
BUFFY (shouting)
Dawn! Are you ready yet?
DAWN (shouting)
Almost! Hold on!
The camera follows BUFFY as she walks back into the kitchen. XANDER is sitting down.
BUFFY
Sure you don’t mind dropping her off?
XANDER
I’m sure. Got nothing better to do today anyway.
BUFFY
I thought you had a meeting, again.
XANDER
Nah. Ok, well I did, but they cancelled it.
BUFFY
Why?
XANDER
Oh, nothing really. Its not, cancelled, cancelled, just being re-scheduled.
CAMERA ON: DAWN coming downstairs. DAWN walks into the kitchen, and picks up a banana from the table.
DAWN
Ok, I’m ready.
XANDER gets up. DAWN hugs BUFFY, then she goes to the front door.
DAWN
See ya later Buffy!
BUFFY
Bye!
XANDER smiles at BUFFY, then walks to the door, and opens it, DAWN and XANDER exit.
3 INT. EDMONSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL – DAY
CAMERA ON: DAWN as walks into the hallway. She sees LUX in the distance and walks over to her.
DAWN
Hey!
LUX
Hey Dawn!
DAWN and LUX start walking.
LUX
So, what did you do yesterday?
DAWN
There was some boredom, followed by some more boredom, ooh, and do you know what else?
LUX
Boredom?
DAWN
Ten points to Lux!
A girl walks past DAWN and LUX in tears, and into the girls bathroom.
DAWN
Who’s that?
LUX
Oh her, that’s Kara. She’s always crying, doesn’t have any friends, that’s what I figure.
DAWN
Sad.
LUX
Yeah. (pause) So, aren’t you going to ask me about my day?
DAWN (distracted)
How was your-
LUX
It was great! My mom done a homemade pizza!
DAWN looks at LUX confused.
LUX
Ok, maybe I do need to get out more, but hey… pizza!
DAWN
Lux, I gotta go bathroom, see you in class, ok?
LUX
Sure.
DAWN starts to walk off.
LUX (shouting)
Dawn!
DAWN turns around.
LUX (shouting)
Don’t get too close to Kara! She’s weird.
DAWN carries on to the bathroom
4 INT. BATHROOM – DAY
CAMERA PANS across the toilet cubicles, we stop at the one where sobbing can be heard from. DAWN moves toward it. She knocks onto the toilet door.
DAWN
Hello?
The sobbing stops.
DAWN
Kara?
KARA
Who is it?
DAWN
Hi, it’s Dawn. Dawn Summers, I don’t think I have any classes with you, but I just wanted to make sure you were ok.
The door opens, and reveals KARA, whose mascara is running. She steps outside and walks to the sinks. DAWN turns to her.
DAWN
Are you? Uh, ok?
(KARA talks to DAWN from the mirror)
KARA
Yes. Yeah. Thanks.
KARA wipes her eyes with tissue.
DAWN
What happened?
KARA
Same thing that always does.
DAWN (confused)
Huh?
KARA
You wouldn’t understand.
KARA turns around, facing DAWN.
KARA
You’d think I’m weird.
DAWN
Try me.
KARA
Just forget it, I’m ok now.
DAWN (louder)
I said ‘try me’.
KARA
Please don’t tell anyone, I’m already scared enough.
DAWN
Promise.
KARA
I don’t know how to explain it, but there’s something wrong… with me. W-when I touch people, I get these, visions, don’t know from where, but I see them dying.
KARA starts to cry again.
KARA
I don’t know why it happens, but I know I don’t like it.
DAWN
I-I don’t know what to say.
KARA
You think I’m crazy.
DAWN
No-no-no! Didn’t say that, I believe you, I do!
KARA
It’s ok, everyone else does.
KARA pushes past DAWN and leaves the bathroom.
CAMERA ON: DAWNS face from the mirror.
5 INT. CHEMISTRY LAB – DAY
The CAMERA PANS across the room to reveal DAWN and LUX sitting next to each other. The TEACHER’s voice can be heard in the background.
LUX
But why?
DAWN
Because, magic’s dangerous!
LUX
How do you know?
DAWN
Believe me, I know.
The door opens and KARA walks in. She heads over to the TEACHER.
KARA
Sorry I'm late, I was sort of… upset.
TEACHER
That’s ok, just sit down.
KARA sits at a desk on her own.
LUX
Hey look, it's your new best friend.
DAWN
What do you mean?
LUX
Her!
LUX points at KARA.
DAWN
I'm just worried about her, nothing special.
LUX
But there’s rumours around school, and she is kind of weird Dawn.
DAWN
What kind of rumours?
LUX
Well, apparently, she has some kind of power, when people talk to her, they like die, sometime after.
DAWN
I-I spoke to her.
LUX
Dawn, it's just a rumour. Don’t worry about it.
6 INT. SUMMER’S RESIDENCE – EVENING
CAMERA ON: DAWN and WILLOW folding their clothes.
DAWN
So then, she said Lux told me about how people who’ve spoke to her, die later.
BUFFY
Later in the day?
DAWN
I don’t know, maybe.
BUFFY
Because, you know, you should get your money back.
DAWN looks puzzled.
BUFFY
Because you didn’t die…
DAWN
Hey! And besides, it's not like that anyway.
BUFFY
Maybe this girl does have that power, you should speak to her, she sounds scared, and she might need someone to talk to.
DAWN
Can't you do it? I'm not good with confrontation.
BUFFY
Oh no! Buffy is off the supernatural list, you’ll have to sort this out yourself.
DAWN
She’s not a vampire! She just has something she can't control. You’re just lazy.
BUFFY
Am not!
DAWN
Ok, now you’re being childish.
BUFFY
You know when you’ve lost your mind, when your kid sister calls you childish.

CAMERA ON: XANDER holding the phone, he’s standing by the door in the hall.
XANDER
Dawn! Somebody’s on the phone. Karla or someone.
DAWN comes out of her room and walks to XANDER.
DAWN
You mean Kara?
XANDER
That’s the one.
XANDER hands DAWN the phone, and walks into the kitchen.
DAWN
Hello?
KARA (On the Phone)
Dawn?
DAWN
Yeah. Hey Kara, what's up?
KARA (On the Phone)
I hope you don’t mind me calling.
DAWN
No it's fine. How’d you get it anyway?
KARA (On the Phone)
Lux gave it to me. I-I just needed to speak to you.
DAWN
Didn’t know you and Lux spoke.
KARA (On The Phone)
Uh, we don’t, Lux is the only person I know, who’s got a connection to you.
DAWN
Ok. Anyway, are you ok?
KARA (On The Phone)
It's just, you’re the only one who’s like ever believed me, at least I think you do-
DAWN
Oh I do! I swear.
KARA (On The Phone)
I was thinking, maybe you could help me, with something.
9 INT. WILLOW AND KENNEDY’S DORM – NIGHT
CAMERA ON: WILLOW on the bed, who is reading a magic book. KENNEDY is putting make-up on in the mirror.
KENNEDY
So Will, what you wanna do tonight?
WILLOW
I dunno, I was thinking maybe going over to Buffy’s.
KENNEDY
You don’t wanna patrol?
WILLOW
Yeah, I meant you know, as the whole thing on the side… uh… thing.
KENNEDY
What?
WILLOW
Never mind.
KENNEDY
Dawn’s feeling a bit down.
WILLOW
Really? Why?
KENNEDY
Because you know, of the whole, family with superpowers and all.
WILLOW
That’s nothing different. She’s always been surrounded by ‘supernatural’ friends and family.
KENNEDY
Yeah but I think it's more because you know, finally, she has found something she could help with, and now we all seem to be rubbing it in her face that we can do better than her.
WILLOW
But she’s still just little Dawnie. She gets that.
KENNEDY
I don’t think she does.
10 INT. KARA’S HOUSE - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: DAWN as she walks into the house. KARA’S MOTHER takes DAWN’S coat and hangs it up.
DAWN
Thanks for letting me come here, so late and all.
KARA’S MOTHER
Oh, don’t you worry about it. It's nice to see Kara have a friend anyway.
KARA’S MOTHER walks toward the edge of the stairs.
KARA’S MOTHER (shouting)
Kara! Dawn’s here!
KARA comes down the stairs, and smiles at DAWN and KARA’S MOTHER.
KARA
Thanks mom.
KARA’S MOTHER stays still, and smiles at KARA and DAWN.
KARA moves her head, indicating she wants KARA’S MOTHER to leave.
KARA’S MOTHER
Oh, sorry honey.
KARA’S MOTHER exits.
DAWN (whispering)
She doesn’t know?
KARA shakes her head.
KARA
If I told her, she’d never look at me the same again.
KARA starts walking upstairs, toward her bedroom, DAWN follows.
11 INT. KARA’S BEDROOM – NIGHT
KARA is sitting on the edge of her bed, while DAWN is standing up.
DAWN
You’re sure you wanna do this?
KARA nods.
KARA
Ok. Here we go.
KARA leans out and touches DAWN’S cheek. DAWN gasps.
FLASH: It's dusk. A demon walks out of a flashy portal. He has no skin, he is just bone with one hook for a hand.
FLASH: It's now night. The demon is now in the some graveyard.
FLASH: DAWN being held up high with one hand by the throat. A hook moves toward her throat.
FLASH BACK
KARA moves back and let’s go of DAWN. She is panting, heavily.
DAWN goes toward KARA.
DAWN
Are you ok? Kara? Kara?
KARA doesn’t answer, but puts up her hand to DAWN. KARA then starts breathing normally.
KARA
That happens sometimes, sorry.
DAWN
What did you see?
KARA
I've never seen anything like it.
DAWN
What was it?
KARA
A monster.
12 INT. SUMMER’S RESIDENCE – NIGHT
CAMERA ON: DAWN, BUFFY and XANDER in the kitchen.
BUFFY
How could you let this happen!?
DAWN

You aren't helping anyone! You’re getting a free-ticket to death!
DAWN
How? It's given me a heads-up. Her touching me doesn’t trigger my death; she's just shown how it's going to happen.
XANDER
You don’t know that Dawn. She could be lying. She might not even know herself. This girl sounds dangerous.
DAWN
I can't believe you two! Why can't you just trust someone for once?
BUFFY
We do, we trust you, we just wanna make sure your careful.
DAWN
Hello!? Sister of the Slayer here! I think I've gone past how to be careful.
BUFFY
Dawn, I don’t want you seeing that girl anymore. You’re staying home tomorrow.
DAWN huffs loudly, and then runs to her room.
BUFFY
I'm not being hard on her right?
XANDER shakes his head.
BUFFY
Really?
XANDER
I don’t know.
BUFFY (sarcastic)
Thanks, you’re a great help!
13 INT. SUMMER’S RESIDENCE – MORNING
CAMERA ON: DAWN in her bed. BUFFY walks into her bedroom.
BUFFY
Dawn? Dawn get up.
DAWN slowly opens her eyes.
DAWN
What time is it?
BUFFY looks at her watch.
BUFFY
Seven-thirty.
DAWN
Sev-Why didn’t you wake me up!?
BUFFY
Your not going to school today, not when you know, death is on the cards.
(Pause)
BUFFY
What the hell does that mean anyway?
DAWN
It might be years before this demon comes. Are you gonna lock me up for that long?
BUFFY
If I have to.
DAWN
Buff-
BUFFY
End of conversation.
BUFFY exits.
14 INT. SUMMER’S RESIDENCE – DAY
CAMERA ON: DAWN who is watching TV. She is alone in the house.
DAWN
TV used to be so much fun.
The phone rings.
DAWN runs to it and picks it up.
DAWN
Hello?
KARA (on the Phone)
Dawn?
DAWN
Hey Kara. How’d you know I was at home?
KARA (on the Phone)
Cause you’re not at school.
DAWN
You are?
KARA (on the Phone)
Yeah, why?
DAWN
I didn’t know they had phones at school!
KARA (on the Phone)
Dawn, this is serious.
DAWN
Ok, I'm listening.
KARA (on the Phone)
I wasn’t feeling well this morning, so I went out for a walk. It was really early.
(Pause)
DAWN
Yeah?
KARA (on the Phone)
That thing I saw, in my vision. It's here, in Edmonsville.
DAWN
You saw it?
KARA (on the Phone)
Y-Yeah. What should we do?
DAWN
I don’t know. What time of the day was it when you know, he… killed me?
KARA (on the Phone)
It was… um… night time. But don’t quote me on it.
DAWN
I’ll call my sister; she’ll know what to do.
KARA (on the Phone)
Ok. Do you want me to come over?
DAWN
You’re at school.
KARA (on the Phone)
Yeah, but I can get out, want me too?
DAWN
It’d probably help.
KARA (on the Phone)
Ok, see ya in about thirty.
DAWN
Ok. Bye.
DAWN puts the phone down.

ACT III
15 EXT. EDMONSVILLE COLLEGE – DAY
CAMERA ON: WILLOW and KENNEDY as they walk through the outside area of Edmonsville College.
WILLOW’S cell phone starts to ring.
She answers it.
WILLOW
Hello?
(Long Pause)
KENNEDY looks puzzled.
WILLOW
Ok… um… we’ll be there as soon as we can… don’t worry Dawnie.
WILLOW switches off the phone, and turns to KENNEDY.
WILLOW
It's Dawn. She's in trouble.
16 INT. SUMMER’S RESIDENCE - DAY
BUFFY rushes into the house, and we see XANDER, KARA and DAWN in the sitting room.
BUFFY (breathless)
What's wrong?
DAWN
The demon I told you about, it's coming... Kara saw it.
BUFFY
What!?
DAWN
So much for my theory on the whole ‘it could be years before it comes’ thing huh?
BUFFY
We have to research this thing. It's strengths, weaknesses, everything.
XANDER
Already on it.
XANDER waves a thick book entitled ‘Demonology’
DAWN
Willow’s coming soon, I think.
BUFFY turns to KARA.
BUFFY
What does this thing look like?
KARA
A pirate, that’s lost all of it's skin.
(Pause)
KARA
It's just all bone. Pretty tough looking.
BUFFY picks up a book and throws it to KARA.
BUFFY
If it's in there, tell us.
DAWN
I already gave her the 411.
BUFFY
I don’t care, we need this thing sorted... now!
KARA stares at BUFFY.
BUFFY (to KARA)
Get to work! We haven’t got time!
DAWN stands up and grabs BUFFY’S arm. She takes BUFFY into the kitchen.
BUFFY
What?
DAWN
What the hell are you doing?!
BUFFY just looks on, confused.
DAWN
Bossing her around! She doesn’t know, she’s new to this, she didn’t even know vampires, and demons were real until yesterday!
BUFFY
Oh I'm sorry, I got the impression you didn’t want to die.
DAWN
I don’t.
BUFFY
Then grow up Dawn! This isn’t the time to be sweet and innocent about everything. This thing is coming for you, we don’t know why, or when it’ll be here, so you better hurry up and research.
DAWN
So you believe me now then?
BUFFY
I don’t know. I’d rather be prepared.
DAWN
Let’s just get this over with.
The front door opens, and WILLOW and KENNEDY enter.
XANDER
Hey guys.
BUFFY and DAWN walk back inside into the sitting room.
BUFFY
Will, can you look on the computer, Kennedy, Dawn, you try the books.
WILLOW and KENNEDY look puzzled.
DAWN
Don’t worry, I’ll fill you in.
17 INT. SUMMER’S RESIDENCE - NIGHT
KARA
Ok... there’s nothing in here about this guy!
(Pause)
KARA
Demon, I mean.
DAWN looks up at KARA, then at BUFFY, who is surrounding WILLOW and KENNEDY who are using the computer.
DAWN (to BUFFY)
There’s nothing on this end either.
XANDER (shouting)
This is useless!
They all look at XANDER.
XANDER
Just thought I’d join in with the ranting.
(Pause)
XANDER
I got nothing!
XANDER slams the book onto the table. BUFFY stands up and looks at everyone.
BUFFY (to KARA)
Kara, you said this thing was made of bone.
KARA nods.
XANDER
That’s right! Just get a big sledgehammer, and whack him.
XANDER gestures a swinging motion. He looks on, embarrassed.
BUFFY
No your right Xander.
XANDER (shocked)
I am!?
(Pause)
XANDER
I mean... of course I am!
KARA
It wasn’t human bone. It was thick, hard... strong.
WILLOW (shouting)
Ooh! I got something!
KARA rushes over to the computer screen.
KARA
That’s him!
(Pause)
KARA
Uh... it! Everyone gathers around the computer.
KENNEDY (reading from the screen)
Twalitor; race of bone-demons, blah blah blah, pulls the skin off children and takes their bones. Ewe!
BUFFY
Least we know why it's after Dawn. What else does it say?
WILLOW
It takes children's bones back to its world, and to its master, Flargol, who in return, makes a bone on the Twalitor bigger and stronger.
XANDER
What a complicated process to get a big bone.
XANDER realises what he just said.
XANDER
I'm shutting up now.
DAWN
Does it say anything about weaknesses?
WILLOW
Just that we would have to figure out which of his bones is weakest, and crush it. Once one piece is removed-
BUFFY (interrupting)
...the puzzles ruined. No more demon.
WILLOW
I’ll look up for a weakness spell. Makes the killing easier at least.
KENNEDY
All right, we'll get some weapons.
She walks to the door to the garage. DAWN follows her, KARA stands by, waiting, DAWN grabs her hand and drags her along.
18 INT. SUMMER’S RESIDENCE GARAGE - NIGHT (cont'd)
CAMERA ON: KENNEDY, DAWN and KARA walking in, they go straight for the weapons chest.
KENNEDY
What's it gonna be ladies?
DAWN
Axe please.
KENNEDY
Here you go.
KENNEDY hands over an axe with a big blades on both sides.
KENNEDY
I'm thinking the same, with bones, a sword or a crossbow won't do much damage.
She turns to KARA.
KENNEDY
Do you have any specific wishes.
KARA
I-I... uhm.
KENNEDY
Here.
KENNEDY hands her over a fire axe.
KENNEDY
You think you can handle this?
KARA
I can try...
KENNEDY walks to the door.
DAWN
Don't you need one?
KENNEDY turns around.
KENNEDY
I'm banking on lending the Scythe.
She walks out.
KARA
What's the Scythe.
DAWN
It's that big shiny weapon hanging on the wall.
KENNEDY walks back in. DAWN gives her a look. KENNEDY, looking grumpy, walks back in, grabs a baseball bat and walks back out.
DAWN laughs.
DAWN
C'mon let's go.

ACT IV
19 INT. SUMMER'S RESIDENCE - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: XANDER, BUFFY, KENNEDY, DAWN and KARA sitting at the dining table, WILLOW standing at the head of the table. She puts a just printed out map on the table.
WILLOW
Alright everyone here's the situation... There has been a disruption in the dimensional border here.
She points at the crematorium.
The structure of the border contains some scars, so it has been ripped before, which could mean it's not the first time our friend has visited this place before. It probably knows its way around here better then us.
She points out a spot in the graveyard.
Now this is where Dawn is to stay during the entire fight. We will form a circle around her. I'll be over here, Xander, you and Kara can stay over here and Kennedy you'll stay here.
BUFFY
Couldn't the demon just go for Dawn from here.
She puts her finger somewhere on the map.
WILLOW
Yes, but that's what we're going to be expecting, we'll be ready to attack him if he comes from there.
BUFFY
A trap?
WILLOW
Yes!
BUFFY
You're using Dawn as bait?
WILLOW
Well... that's one way of putting it... I'd prefer to call it... bait.
BUFFY
No way!
WILLOW
But Buffy?
BUFFY
No way!
WILLOW
What if you were with her?
BUFFY
I quit.
KENNEDY
So why do you have a word in the plan?
BUFFY
I'm still Dawn's legal guardian.
WILLOW
You don't have to fight him, you just have to help her get out, when he has moved into the circle.
BUFFY stays still, obviously over thinking it.
KARA
I can get my hands on a dirt bike...
BUFFY
Alright, but for any reason I like, I get to call it off?
WILLOW
But off course!
20 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: DAWN and BUFFY hands on the steering wheel of the dirt bike next to her. They're both looking around suspiciously for any kind of movement.
21 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: KENNEDY, bat in her hands looking around for the Twalitor.
22 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: XANDER and KARA, last one looking very nervous, both with axes.
23 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: WILLOW, white hairs, eyes and mouth closed.
WILLOW (V.O.)
Attention everyone here it comes.
24 INT. CREMATORIUM - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: A large hall with chairs all facing a plateau on which the coffins are normally set. On that same place now comes a small lighting, it fades. A pause. Larger electrical bolts making a ball. They fade again. Now an even larger one. It now sends small bolts in other directions as well, it's growing. It now begins firing aggressively. One bolts hits the front row of seats with get slung all over the place. The ball has now about an 8 feet diameter. There's a large flash and a bang. The light forms a figure of a human-shaped figure. ZOOM IN on the the ball as it implodes and completely disappears. CAMERA LOOK DOWN, THE TWALITOR on its knees and hands. It stands up and we can now only see it's face, it looks like the one WILLOW showed on the computer.
25 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: WILLOW, she opens her eyes.
WILLOW (V.O.)
He's here and he's coming straight for us.
BUFFY (V.O)
Alright, everyone ready?
KENNEDY (V.O.)
Rock 'n Roll, baby!
26 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: XANDER and KARA, she's twisting and turning and seems to have lost control. She's trying to get something of her neck, as if she's trying to break loose from an invisible hands strangling her.
XANDER
Not exactly, Kara has lost it, can you deal without us.
WILLOW (V.O.)
You're call Buffy.
BUFFY (V.O)
We'll handle!
XANDER
KARA! Wake up, Kara, it's alright, nothing is going to happen.
XANDER grabs her, at that moment she opens her eyes, there's a flash. XANDER tries to scream.
FADE TO:
27 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
BLACK AND WHITE ONLY
CAMERA ON: THE TWALITOR, holding Kara high up, he's trying to strangle her. She's twisting and turning, trying to get him to let her go.
FADE TO:
28 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: XANDER's scared face, he lets go off Kara, she drops to the ground. He kneels and feels her pulse, from his face we can see she's alive. He stands up again and looks clueless. Then it hits him.
XANDER (Screaming)
WILLOW! Willow , listen to me! Can you hear me? He's not after Dawn!
There's no response. XANDER picks up the axe and stands guard at KARA.
29 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: BUFFY and DAWN in the middle of the graveyard. They're both looking nervously around.
BUFFY (V.O.)
What's keeping him Willow, something is wrong, I can feel it.
WILLOW (V.O.)
He's closing in from Xander's side.
BUFFY (V.O.)
Have you warned him to get out?
WILLOW (V.O.)
I couldn't reach either of them, they weren't there.
BUFFY (V.O.)
What do you mean?
WILLOW (V.O.)
They're still there, but it was like their minds where somewhere else.
BUFFY (V.O.)
What can it mean?
WILLOW (V.O.)
Perhaps she had another vision.
BUFFY (V.O.)
...Willow? Who was originally supposed to be patrolling where tonight?
WILLOW (V.O.)
Funny you should ask, it was Dawn and... When she told us, she messed it up.
BUFFY (V.O.)
He's after her.
WILLOW (V.O.)
Kennedy, get over to Xander!
BUFFY starts her dirt bike, DAWN jumps on the back. They race off.
30 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: XANDER standing guard and KARA on the ground. She opens her eyes.
KARA
Xander?
He turns around and kneels at her.
XANDER
Are you alright?
KARA
I'm fine, just a little...
XANDER
What?
CAMERA ON: XANDER's face from KARA's point of view, THE TWALITOR is looking down on him.
THE TWALITOR grabs XANDER and throws him away. KARA rolls over as THE TWALITOR grabs for her too. She crawls up and starts to run. THE TWALITOR walks after her, heavy pace, not running.
31 EXT. GRAVEYARD - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: BUFFY and DAWN, on the dirt bike. Passing the gravestones at high speed. There's a roof of a dug in crypt and she uses it as a ramp. She makes a jump and the CAMERA looks at it from beneath.
32 EXT. GRAVEYARD- NIGHT
CAMERA ON: KARA running, THE TWALITOR is right behind her. He grabs her by the arm and she turns around as he turns her arm around, but he turns it even further and we hear it snap. Then he lets go and she falls down. He steps to her, he stands in front of her and is about to finish her off. From the distance we can hear to sound of a dirt bike getting louder. He grabs her and pulls her up and he tries to strangle her, she twists and turns, and tries to get his hands off of her. Then right behind THE TWALITOR a dirt bike jumps out of the bushes, it jumps right behind him and as they pass, DAWN hits the THE TWALITOR in the back with her axe. BUFFY lands the bike and makes a sharp turn. DAWN steps off. BUFFY makes a sprint for KARA, and grabs her hands as she passes and slings her onto the back. THE TWALITOR is trying to grab the axe and pull it out of his back, but he can't reach it, then he sees DAWN and goes for her. DAWN jumps onto a gravestone and as THE TWALITOR tries to grab her legs, she jumps onto the next one, he again tries to grab her, but again she jumps and he stumbles and crushes the stone. Then he stands up and walks off in an other direction.
DAWN
Hey, what's the matter big guy, 'fraid of a little girl?
XANDER comes up from the bushes, limping.
XANDER
Dawn, don't...
He notices THE TWALITOR coming for him, he tries to back off. But the demon is quicker. DAWN makes a sprint for the demon, and just as she is about to grab the axe, which is still in his back, he turns around and hits her, she flies across a few feet and crashes into a gravestone. CAMERA MOVES UP: From DAWN to WILLOW, white haired, standing a few gravestone away from her.
WILLOW
Dawn, get Xander out of here.
THE TWALITOR looks at her then he walks to her, he let's DAWN, who hurries to XANDER, pass him. Then KENNEDY comes up from behind him.
KENNEDY
Playtime?
WILLOW nods.
Play-time.
THE TWALITOR turns around. KENNEDY hits him in the face with the baseball bat. He takes a step back. He grumbles. He swings at her with his hook, but she blocks with the bat. He swing with the other arm, but KENNEDY ducks it. She swings at the inside of his right knee. As response he bends it and falls on his knee. She then swing the bat at his face and hits him full on, he falls on his back, the axe gets shoved in deeper. KENNEDY is about to strike again, but he grabs the bat with his hand and puts his hook around it and kicks her away. She crashes a few feet away.
KENNEDY
Damn.
WILLOW
Just a little longer, I'm nearly there.
CAMERA ON: WILLOW, mumbling something, a green small balls is growing in front of her.
CAMERA MOVES BACK TO: THE TWALITOR and KENNEDY, circkeling around each other, waiting for the other one to make the first move. THE TWALITOR has the bat in his hand. He throws it at her, she ducks, he steps forward and smashes on her back, she falls down. He picks her up. She hits him, but she quickly grabs for her hurtful hand. It seems to have no effect on him. He begins to strangle her. She tries to get his hands of but, no luck.
KENNEDY (whispering)
Wil-low!?!
THE TWALITOR opens its mouth, a green light is coming from it and it's starting to glow brighter. CAMERA MOVES around him, to see WILLOW has completed her ritual and now stretches her hands, it sends her green ball flying right at his mouth it hits him and swallows it. He drops KENNEDY and tries to grab the axe from his back. CAMERA ON: the axe, the bone around it is starting to crack. CAMERA MOVES AROUND to see the front of him, the cracks from behind start to spread to his front, they're glowing green. Then he explodes, small sharp pieces of bone are scattered over the place. KENNEDY and WILLOW's faces have little cuts on them. WILLOW joins KENNEDY and they look at the place he used to be in, and then walk off.
33 INT. HOSPITAL - NIGHT
CAMERA ON: KARA in the bed, her arm in some bandage. DAWN, KENNEDY, XANDER, WILLOW and BUFFY standing around her bed. XANDER leaning on DAWN, and WILLOW and KENNEDY with band aids on their faces and arms.
BUFFY
I've called your mom, she's on her way. The doctors said you'd have to stay in the hospital for a few days, and at home for a week or two, and even after, you'll have to take it easy.
KARA looks down.
BUFFY
You're gonna be fine, you did fine.
KARA
It's not that, I'm worried about.
BUFFY
Then what are you about?
KARA looks down again, shamefully, then looks up!
KARA
What am I gonna tell to my mom happened?
