![]() Demon and Vampire activity is escalating all along the California Coast. Rumors of a new hellmouth, following a series of mild earthquakes, has the Watcher's Council buzzing with worry. They have next to no control or influence on the current slayers. Which that there are two, are a matter of oddity. Thus another new slayer has been activated, one who will be under a watcher's guidance, and one who will attempt to keep Northern California safe. Welcome to the San Francisco Bay Area, home of the new hellmouth, and the new slayer. |

![]() She was born in China, to a half Chinese, half Irish mother, Lian McKenna Chee. Then her mother met an Isreali man, Issac Ezmali, who was visiting. He postponed his going home to stay with Lian. They then wed in China with her mother carring his child, her younger sister Ilana. They then moved to Isreal when Ciara was 3. There they lived well for a while, as a happy family. At age 7 her mother and step father were killed in one of the many daily incidents of violence that are common place in Isreal, and she and her sister were sent to live with her grandparents who had long since moved from China to Ireland once their mother grew out of childhood, land of her grandfather's birth. Her grandfather, Doyle McKenna, died when she was 9, and then the following year her grandmother became ill. This was when her father, Ivan Vikenti, whom she'd never known suddenly appeared. Her grandmother, Mu Tan Chee, was too weak to protest, and her father all but kidnapped her and dragged her off to Russia, where he was formerly a KGB agent, now seemingly highly involved in the Russian Mafia. Now 10 years old she began learning yet another new language, her 4th in her life now, (Chinese, Hebrew, English, and now Russian). For 5 years she lived in Russia, separated from her sister, and everyone else she ever knew. Her father never explained why he took her and brought her here. She thought it might have been to keep away unwanted people. That he'd hoped having a child with him would help him keep clear of anyone he didn't care to run into. Ciara started growing up, and her father decided she needed a female presance, so he turned to his mother, Zorina, whom he never was close with. His father was a Russian KGB agent, whom during the cold war had had a fling with a gypsy woman, whom barly even knew her first name. Later in life her father, Ivan, tracked down his mother, and developed enough of a bond with her that he would dump Ciara with her when he went away. A kind woman, a gypsy, living in Romania. She taught Ciara much of the gypsy ways and how to speak Romanian. But soon enough her father would come and drag her off again. However shortly after she turned 14, he felt she was too close with her grandmother, and did not allow her back. Finally after a few months, she became fustrated and angry, and while her father was away on 'business', she managed to sneak away, and never returned. She went to her grandmother, and asked her for help. Her grandmother while wishing Ciara would stay with her, promising safty in the gypsy life if the left onto the road and did not stay anywhere too long. However, as much as Ciara wished to stay with her grandmother, and have someone who really felt like family, she needed to leave. Go where her father couldn't find her, and hopefully find her sister again. So, using the name of her grandmother's father (Zvezdana), whom had been a good Romanian man whom didn't know the gypsy life he had gotten himself involved in meeting a strange woman, until they had already concieved a child, and then was left behind when the woman moved on. Though she had always let her daughter know her father's name, in case she ever needed to meet him. And while she never did, it now would prove handy in distancing Ciara from the reach of her father. Ciara then went on 6 month search in Ireland, only to find that her grandmother had gone home to China, taking her sister along. Ciara then left for China, place of her birth, where she had not been since she was a baby. She discovered that her grandmother had died not long after arriving in China, and her sister had been taken in by her aunt, Lien, whom welcomed Ciara with open arms as well. However when Ciara was 16, her aunt, was killed by a man she had been seeing. Ciara and Ilana witnessed their aunt's murder, and then were subsiquently raped and beaten by this man, barely escaping with their lives. Their uncle upon coming home and discovering what had happened, promptly left them, dispite the girls peas for help, and to stay and look after them. He said he could no longer look at them or this place after they and the home had been so tarnished. After this, once they were strong enough to move on, Ciara took her sister and left China. Fearing even passing by Russia, following some very public news of her aunt's murder, Ciara did not want to risk discovery by her father, so she took her sister south and found a boat to Australia. There they stayed for nearly six months, before they crossed paths with Ciara's father, who proceeded to chase them for 3 days down the Australian coast. When they finally lost him in Sydney. They then found passage to South America, where Ciara celebrated her 17th birthday in Argentina and then moved shortly to Brazil. Both sisters picked up some Spanish and Portugese along the way. They slowly made their way north, only passing through most places, never staying longer then a month anywhere. With the exception of Costa Rica, where they spent about 2 1/2 months in the Rain Forests. But fearing a repeat of Australia they finally decided it was time to move on again. They finally wound up in San Diego, California around the time of Ilana's 15's birthday. They actually found a safe feeling there. It was busy and big enough that they could just blend into the crowds. Ciara, now 18 was also legally old enough to care for her sister, but the authorities of the US didn't agree, and sent Ilana to foster care. After Ilana went through 10 foster homes in just 4 months, they finally begrudingly released Ilana to Ciara's care. After this, the sisters wanted a change of scenery, so they began slowly traveling north along the coast. Stopping everywhere that was interesting, spending weeks and months when it interested them. Finally they came upon San Francisco, where each girl had a birthday not long after getting settled. Ilana now 16, and Ciara now 19, they found a place to stay, a place north of the city, a place where they had space to themselfs, but also had a large enough community around them that they could remain just another face in the crowd, and for the first time in a long time began feeling themselves putting down roots. Now a year later, they are still there, and feeling a little more comfortable in their lives. Ciara and her sister are very close. And during their time apart as kids, they still could swear that they could feel the other's pains and joys. Ciara is a very strong, couragous, intuitive young woman who has had a long an bumpy road to overcome. She's a little bit wild, but is trying to settle into a normal life. She has a bit of diffculty forming real bonds with people as everyone in her life has died, left her, been torn from her, or betrayed her at one point or another. Now 20 she and her sister, now 17, live together near San Francisco. Ciara is just enrolling in a junior college in the city where she will discover her destiny as the Slayer, as well as friendships among others who's lives are intertwinded with the destiny of the Slayer. |

![]() Born in Boston to Beverly & Thomas Ryan. He grew up in a caring, loving home with a younger brother and sister, Michael and Alice. He was always a good, athletic, happy kid. Though by about age 9 he'd begun to take an interest in the occult. Started from a love of horror movies, it soon became a true interest. At age 18, when he graduated from high school he was accepted to Oxford University, and moved out and headed for England. He recieved degrees in English and History while attending. And during his time there he began delving seriously into wicca, witchcraft, demonology, and anything else slightly strange he could get his hands on. Through this he met several others who had similar interests, and they began hanging out, studing rare old texts, and practicing spellcraft, and eventually magic. They studied all manner of magics, some with more sucess then others. At 20 he had his first of what would become a great many encounters with vampires and demons. The group he stidied with, finally decided to begin calling its self a coven, and attempting to use what they knew to fight the good fight. However, they were young, and had no guideance other then their books and each other. And as sometimes occurs, the taste of power can change people, or bring out their hidden self. Some of their spells began taking darker turns. He looked over it and went along, as did a few others, for they weren't sure if they were the only ones bothered by it, and did not know if it was really all that bad. They soon gained a reputation for ruthlessness, a lack of code, and a lot of success. When Matt was 29, three members of the coven began stepping just a little too far then was comfortable for him and the others. They were all becoming powerful and the three began blatenly abusing their power and magik. Matt and the four members who agreed with him tried to step back, and hoped the others would do the same, though they didn't. Finally people in the area began dying, and demons weren't to blame. The once friends had become rivals. Matt and the four others of his coven who had taken the 'high road', so to speak, were asked by a man to join an exclusive group, called the Watchers. He has sat on the Watcher's council ever since, until the resent uprising of demons on the west coast of the US, and the potential threat of a possible new hellmouth in Northern California. |

![]() Played by Rouri Phillups Bailie barley remembers her past anymore. She promised herself that she wouldn't forget it completely, but push it aside in a way. Its her past that pushes her through life. She doesn't remember where she was born, nor does she care. All she can remember is constant moving. They were always getting evicted from their homes and having to move away, she never really made any friends, or claimed to have a real "home." Her family life consisted of drugs, alcohol and the many forms of abuse. Not being able to take any more of it, she ran away. At the age of 9, she was out on her own, living on the streets, begging for change, avoiding the authorities. She started hanging out with a group of kids, a bit older then her, that seemed nice and they looked after her. It was this group that started taking her to the boxing matches that accrued after nightfall. She went to every match there was, and little by little, she became infatuated with the sport. She begged the owner to let her have a job, and at the age of 11, she became the "Towel girl" and made her way into the gym, which is where she met Mickey. He was about 8 years older then her, and at first, he thought nothing of her. That was, until her saw her fight. He talked to the owner and talked him into letting him train her, "she has real talent" he said. And so, for about 4 years, Mickey had taught her everything he knew, everything the sport was about. And it was in those 4 years that Bailie met the only true friend she ever knew, Aura Rivers. Aura was the only person who looked at her like a normal human being. She put aside Bailie's past and befriended her for the person she was. Bailie told Aura everything that she couldn't talk to Mickey about, and for once in her life, she felt as if she was accepted. In the ring, she let everything out, all of her hate towards her parents, all of her anger towards the world, everything she fought with was raw emotion, which made her unbeatable in the ring. Throughout the years, Mickey had taken her into his home, and under his wing. She looked up to him, thought of him as the family she has never had, and he thought the same. After 3 years in the ring, she decided to take a break, and worked in the bar out front of the ring. A bar called "The Dancing Diamonds." All of the emotions that weren't released in the boxing ring, was released in her dancing. At the age of 17, she was the youngest member of the Diamonds, and soon, she earned the name "The burning Jewel." This bar became her home, this was the place where she felt safe and welcome. She took up singing, which was a hobby that she loved. She danced, sang and learned the trick of bartending. Her life was going good for her. She has a major anger problem, although one may not be able to tell. She keeps her feelings bottled up inside. She doesn't like to talk much about herself, feelings and emotions included, because she feels selfish. But she's ALWAYS there for someone else. She hates love, but she's always looking for it and when she thinks she's found it, she pushes it away. She likes to be in charge but in times she needs someone who wont give up on her, who will make her talk. Someone who is not afraid to take the control away from her. Its now, at the age of 19 that she feels that she's found a place where she might be needed. Its now that she has found a new group of people to trust, to live and grow with, along with a whole new outlook on life and death. To survive or not to survive? Now the only thing she misses, is the one person who knew her best, Aura. Trying to explain herself to a group of strangers is hard for her, but she wants to help, this has become her new life now, the darkness and evil. |

![]() Played by K Evan Johnson was always an outsider. Never really popular or athletic, Evan preferred music to anything else, causing a lot of trouble for him with the 'in-crowd' of his high school. For the most part, Evan had a close group of friends he stuck to, mostly his band buddies. His twin sister, Emma, on the other hand was the complete opposite. Emma was very popular, home coming queen, captain of the cheer squad. Everyone knew Emma Johnson and everyone knew that Evan was her brother. He was very protective of Emma, something that annoyed her to no end, but she always appreciated it. While not a violent guy, Evan could take care of himself and Emma knew that her brother would be able to defend her should the opportunity present itself. Evan's parents split up when he and Emma were 7-years-old. His dad pretty much disappeared from their lives, popping in every now and bring birthday or Christmas presents that were months early or late, but, by the time they hit 14 he stopped coming around all together. The only real male figure in Evan's life was his mother's boyfriends. For the most part, the guys his mother brought home were real creeps and he would spend most of his time at friends' houses to avoid any encounters with them. Evan never got into any real trouble, but he did have a tendency to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. This was the case the night he encountered his first vampire. It was after a gig and the band was loading up their van when they were approached by a group of vampires. Of course, at first, they just thought that they were gang members or something. Emma happened to be there to help, reluctantly, and when Evan saw the gang approach he immediately stepped in front of his sister, ready to protect her. The fight was a big blur to Evan later, once the gang revealed their vampire self's the attack was strong and fast. When all was said and done, Evan was lucky enough to survive the attack by fighting them off until another car approached and scared the vampires away. The other members of the band were all dead. And Emma was missing. Evan wanted to search for his sister, but the person in the other car had called the police and they had kept him in questioning for hours, until they finally gave up. There was no way Evan could have done that all by himself and there was no proof that he was part of the gang that attacked in their eyes (Evan was not about to say that vampires attacked them). Emma had disappeared without a trace. Everyone at school looked at Evan with suspicion and fear most of them believing he did have something to do with Emma's disappearance and his friends deaths. Evan kept what he saw to himself, knowing that no one would believe him if he had told the truth. Not even the second time. Evan once again encountered the same group of vampires while walking home from detention late one winter afternoon, about three months after the first attack. He was shocked to see that Emma was with them, only now she was a vampire. He got lucky once again, managing to fight them off and make it back to the house before he was killed. |

Played by Chelsea Aura is an all around good girl. She loves to talk, fence, box, and practice karate. She doesn't know it, but she desperately wants to be in love. When she has her hart set on something very little can change her mind. For the most part of her life Aura felt completely bound by her father's rules. He was constantly reminding her of how dangerous the world truly is and Aura, having not experienced the world herself believed him. She was extremely shy and didn't make any friends. All she knew in her life was discipline and she used that to shut herself away from the world. Little did she know, her father's cause for so much caution was do to an event that happened when Aura was only a one year old. Her father had been on a business trip, and her mother was home alone along with Aura. A man had appeared and convinced Kathy to let him in. 5 hours later, Danny came home to find his wife dead on their doorstep, drained of all her blood. Since then Danny has become obsessed with safety. 4 years later, Danny put Aura in not only Karate, but also fencing and boxing as well. Young Aura hated everything her father forced her into. The last thing she wanted was more discipline. For the next 6 years Aura hardly improved on her skills. She refused to have any friends because she feared that her father would scare them off, yet she was drowning in loneliness. Her isolation ended when an 11 year old with an attitude joined her class. Though these years with Bailie, Aura finally gained the courage to experience the world and over time she let her emotions out and gained a personality. Aura actually began to enjoy her classes and soon became the best in karate, fencing, and second best in her boxing class. With Bailie she felt as if her father had no power over her and she was free. Then, when Aura was 19, disaster struck. When she came to check on her dad on the way home from a late fencing lesson. She walked in to see a man sucking blood from her father's neck. She freaked and ran at him with the sword. The man pivoted and dodged her swings but eventually she stabbed him through with the sword. Yet he still stood smiling at her, "Is that the best you got?" Aura was too overcome with adrenaline and anger to realize what was going on. She pulled the sword from him and sliced at his head. Aura cut clean through and the vampires body dicentigrated into dust, revealing the motionless body of Danny Rivers. It took days after her father's funeral for Aura to realize what had happed and to even begin to think about what that man had been. Aura started to think her father was right. If a man, or whatever it had been, could just kill her father right on his doorstep what's to say it wouldn't happen to her? One day she was sitting in her father's living room when the six o'clock news came on. There was a story on about a girl's disappearance. Aura wasn't paying attention until the reporter concluded the story, "If anyone has any information on Bailie please contact". Aura sat in shock. How could she not of known? Her best friend was missing and she hadn't even noticed. How idiotic could she be? Aura stood up and headed out the door. She was going home to get some stuff then she would look for Bailie. She had to find her. No matter what the cost. The journey to find her only true friend turned into a search of her own soul, it tested her beliefs and pushed the rules of her father. |

![]() Played by Chaotic Moon Character age: 22 Parents: Paulo and Isabella Monchescu ( deceased along with most of her clan) Silaria Monchescu was born in the hills of Deva, Romania to a large gypsy clan that traveled all over Eastern Europe. Being the last child born to the clan she was given the best of everything. Her grandmother was herbalist for the clan and she was teaching her craft to Silaria. Her uncles taught her how to pickpocket with such ease that the mark would never know what happened. The gypsy clan had a reputation of tampering with the occult and it was firmly believed that her grand mother was a clairvoyant who used tarot as her medium. Her grandmother believed that she had passed on her gift to Silaria but she had never seen any evidence of it. Her father Paulo was less traditional than the rest of the family and insisted that she also have a western education to go along with all the wisdom of the clan. As the family traveled Silaria became more and more fascinated by the western world. When ever they came to a large city Silaria would go to the bookstores and museums trying to soak up as much knowledge as she could. Finally her father recognized the signs when she was around 12 that she needed to have more stability in her life. Heading to Belgium her father made contact with clan members that were settled and asked them to keep her. By giving her the opportunity to learn her father had strengthened her ties to her family. The next 8yrs were blissful she lived with cousins who had blended the gypsy and western cultures almost seamlessly. Silaria learned to speak English, dutch and French to go along with the Romanian she already spoke. She also received more gypsy training that complemented the homeopathy that she was studying at school. It was her desire to be a healer in homeopathic medicine. Being in Belgium she had the opportunity to study at the one school dedicated to that study. This was also the first time in her life that she had active contact with western people something that fascinated her. On evening she came home to silence. Walking into the kitchen her cousins just sat their in silence. Of course Silaria wanted to know what was wrong. Her cousin took her aside to tell her that the clan had been slaughtered in Prague by a coven of vampires. The cousin also told her that it was the family duty to make sure that none of the clan were turned. Quickly packing the family took the train to Prague overnight the found the caravan the family traveled in. All through the night what was left of the family placed wolfs-bane and garlic in the coffins and either staked the heart or severed the head of their loved ones to save them from an un-dead fate. By morning the task was done and Silaria was going through her grandmothers things. Under the cot she found a box with her name on it. When she opened it she found a pendant with the family crest and a small crystal ball. There was also a letter from her grandmother who told her how proud the clan was of her and that when she finally passed on that her gift would be transferred to Silaria. Her grandfather also mentioned that the pendant was blessed and would protect her from evil. The months that followed Silaria was in a haze she went to school and did well but wasn't involved with her life. She graduated near the top of her class but had no real direction. Fearing for her safety her cousins raised the money to send her to America. It was there hope that she would find the peace she needed to be who she was supposed to be. Once in America Silaria made the decision to hunt the creatures that had destroyed her life. |
