Aaaand I'm back. And checking into the Firefly re-watch. 🙂

Please send some love and thoughts to Erika, a friend of mine, to her family and to her friends. She's just 21 and she's been fighting against a brain tumor for the last three years and things got really bad this week. I don't think I'll be active on the forum for the next month. Love you all :heart:

Off to Vampire Ball so I wont be around as much over the weekend, we all know that I'll still end up on here at times though!

Right so I'm back. Well I'm still in LA but I'm gonna try to be a bit more active on BB from now on. Sorry about that, I've just had a lot of stuff to do, and when I don't, the sun drains most of my energy. Anyway, it's good to be back! 🙂

Hello again, friends. It's lovely to see you all again.

I have lifted my self-imposed "exile" from these Boards and interwebs, and return to the fold for a fresh start. Hoping you'll have me back.

I am currently addressing the health issues that have creeped up on me over time, as well as tackled a few of the other offline difficulties. I shall not lie and say that everything is COMPLETELY all right, as it is not, but they are less and less of a weight on my head and shoulders, so I am doing a lot better, at least.

One of those health issues was (is) a sleep abnormality with accompanying memory loss that has plagued me for years. Over time It was affecting my cognitive function, and with that came grumpiness and mood swings....I was snapping at people sometimes, not being able to focus, or even comprehend the simplest things, sometimes. I tried to hide it as best I could, even joked about my "dusty old brain", but I couldn't ignore it anymore.
Not being able to get full, restorative sleep has not been kind to me physically as well, but all of these things have been/are being taken care of. I am now sleeping better and I can get things done a little more productively now. Again, I am not 100% out of the woods here, but I can function so much better at this juncture. And I find that coming back to BB....whereas before I was using it to hide from my problems......now will help to focus my mind on something good. I have missed you all. I thank all concerned for their support. It meant, and means an awful lot.

I am going to have to slow up on my use of the boards for a few weeks as my degree course is starting tomorrow. Until I have got a study schedule worked out around the demands of a full time job, helping a disabled mother and trying to fit in something that vaguely resembles a social life, I won't be around as much as I have the last six months.

Sadly, my friend passed away two days ago and I still won't be around for a few weeks. Love to you all and extra thoughts to Stef, sorry I'll miss your delivery and I hope all goes well.

Well, kids, the time to evict baby has come! I am.in the hospital being induced and should have a baby girl sometime tomorrow. Might be MIA for a bit, but I will try to check in when possible.

Checking out for a bit, going to a convention this weekend then changing my internet provider so not sure how long i will be without internet, will have my phone though so hope to be on here a bit

After my sabbatical to the world of academia, I'm back. Don't panic, I haven't quit the studying but I love BB and felt out of sorts without it and all a y'all :heart:

Turns out the 'feeling out of sorts' I mentioned in the above post was severe depression. Gonna be away while I get my head together and undergo treatment. Hope to be back soon.

Doing my check out a day or two early, but tomorrow I will have lots to do before leaving and don't want to forget! I will be on vacation (Florida, then a cruise) from Friday, November 30th, until Saturday, December 8th. I'll probably lurk a bit when I have cell service/wi-fi. I have been pretty quiet lately, but I have been popping my head in from time to time. However, I am going to check out for a few days, or a week or so. Got some family crisis stuff to figure out and work through. Until then, have fun in Buffyverse without me 🙂

I might not be able to come here in the next few days (or weeks...?) My laptop shut down suddenly yesterday and I'm not sure if it's a virus or the battery dying. :'(

Update: So far my laptop problems seemed to only be a livestream problem... I might not lose my dear laptop after all 😀

Reason: I'm house-sitting for this couple that go to my church as they will be on vacation in the Dominican. Reason being is that they have a dog and a 4 month old kitten so they need somebody to stay at their place. They do have internet, but it's only on their computer so I want to be careful of what sites I go when I'm online while there [not that I think there are viruses on here but you guys know what I mean 😉].

Hey guys! I know I've been MIA- nothing big, just work, family, etc. I'll be gone this weekend but on spring break next week, so you'll probably get sick of all my posting next week.
