The first Buffy Boards Awards ceremony

Not long now folks 🙂

The ceremony will be starting in this thread at about 7pm UK time. If you have arrived early please take the time to look around our brand-new, purpose-built BB Virtual Theatre...

I want as many members to be able to participate as possible but can I just ask you, after the show has started, to be patient and to only post your congrats and stuff during the "ad breaks" - I will try to give a few minutes between each award for this.

It's Saturday night in the wintertime, and I'm sorry I'm not able to be here "live" to accept this award. I'm off playing hockey tonight, as that's what we do up here in the Great White North!

Well...first of all, I'd like to thank Buffy-boards for providing me with lots of opportunities to make a complete ass of myself on a regular basis. Thanks for that. (Seriously, I'd like to congratulate Buffy and the rest of the admins and mods for doing a fine job!).

Next, thank you to the members of BB. Your sense of playfulness and intelligence allow the humour to flow from every post, not just mine. Without the tolerance and goodwill of everyone here, this would be a boring, humourless place.

Thanks to everyone who posted in the "Christmas Sing-along Extravaganza" thread. You all played along fabulously, and made me laugh too! Thanks to the people who nominated the thread for the award.

I'd like to acknowledge my fellow nominees Anita Blake and Dia DeLa Meurte. You both set the comedy bar very high, and you both keep me on my toes! Thanks!

I'm really sorry i couldn't be here in person to accept this award. I'm currently filming my latest movie in L.A. and ... oh, who am i kidding? Assuming you read this on Saturday evening i'm currently out on the town with my beautiful other half making the most of the fact she is up here spending the week with me.

Anyway, i just wanted to say thanks to all those who voted for me. We have a fair few people around here with excellent knowledge of the Buffyverse so it means a lot that you think my posts make for good reading.

Hi this is VisionGuy live at The Buffies. It is a lovely night and everyone here is looking splendidly. NSlayMode is Wearing a Lovely Velvetesque Versace Dress, complemented by that magnificent Pearl Necklace given to her by her Date Ryan Phillipe. I heard Rumours that Lyri is wearing a lovely Dress by Vivienne Westwood this evening. I'll have to look around later for some red carpet no no's.
