Are there still people around that want to do this?
Here's my suggestion for a story-line.
the big bads are called, The Puppetmasters, they're interdimensionally wanted terrorist/criminals, who have recently escaped one of the highest guarded prison dimensions. There are five of them.
the Wood Master - He has the power to make wooden puppets (like those models painters and sculpturers, but then real-size) with his face, he can make a lot of them (200+) at the same time. When they escaped he died.
the Spirit Master - He has the power to conjur up spirits of dead people and make them corporeal for a while. This way the Wood Master is 'revived'.
the String Master - He can shoot very slim almost invisible and unbreakable strings from his hand (much like spiderman) when he hits a person, the string sticks to that part of the persons body and the String master can control that part of the body.
the Doll Master - She is a very ill and weak person and very sick, the source of her disease is unknown. The cure for her disease however is believed to be found on earth, the Beljoxa's Eye will be able to answer to the Puppet Masters what it is and where to find it! Her power is that she can conjur up dolls (about the size of Sid the Dummy) with the lookings of real people, their powers however are smaller, because they're limited by their bodies.
the Corruption Master - He is the leader of the group, his power consist of persuaving (sp?) people and bringing out the worse or best, the most convinient out of them.
The reason they fled to earth is to visit the Eye of Beljoxa and find a cure for the Doll Master. But interdimensional forces are out to get them, and they'll try to get Buffy, Willow and Spike in their power so they can protect them from the 'cops'. Later we will find out that the Puppet Masters were rebelling in their home dimension against the gods, their dimension however was an helldimension, still they were cast out. But the followers of those gods in other dimension, were after them. (remember, Glory had her minions here too), they were hunted down everywhere, and one clash with the gods minions eventually led to the destroyal of a multibillion city. They as only survivors were blamed and found themselves now being chased by the forces of good as well. Eventually they got caught and locked away.
Still a few blanks, like how did the city get destroyed, how did they get caught, how did they escape, why did the Doll Master get sick and most importantly, how will this resolve?
As for the last one, Buffy and Co. will have to ask themselves who they want to help, the Puppet Master are trying to survive and save a friend, but the 'cops's are trying to lock up the people who are to blame for the lost of 10.000.000.000+ lives ... who to help? Who are the real right ones? Plus they probably want to prevent a big fight, because that might lead to the destroyal of earth.
I'm currently trying to draw the Puppet Masters, so you have an idea of what they look like, but that might take some time, as our scanner has to be installed on my dad's new pc.
