The First's new agent.

I think about everyone has noticed that Spike's carvings from season 7, that the First inflicted on him:



Are very similar to the tattoos on Lindsey's body:



What if, Lindsey is here as the First's agent, just like Caleb was in Bs7.

This rift in destiny caused by the existance of a second souled vampire was perhaps something that the First needed to succeed whatever it planned on last season. The First now sent back Spike with the help of Eve and Lindsey. He helps Lindsey keep undetected with the symbols, but Lindsey and Eve must keep an eye out. Last week they tried to paralyse Angel, so I assume they need souled Spike for their plan. Which isn't much of a coincidence, as last time the First popped up it was right after Spike got his soul... Now I know I didn't do a proper explanation N4H-style, but I hope I have at least given you something to think about.

I thought bout that tattoos before...I think it'd be cool to discover than Lindsey's indeed The First's agent but on the other hand I don't think Joss'd bring The First so quickly after Buffy's battle with him...

But you have a point although are we back tracking... you'd think after the blistering defeat in sunnydale that the first wouldn't dare risk the exposure to the Senior partners unless the first is one of the said partners lol... Maybe the first will be back with a vengeance, trying to finish what it had begun in Sunnydale with Lindsey at the helm.... always look out for number one 🙂

Well, it was only an army of about a thousand demons that got destroyed. If he really is as big as he claims to be... no biggie. But the First vs. the Senior Partners would in fact be a biggie, which gives us all the more reasons to like this.

If I was an FBI agent covering this case, I would be considering that possibility.

There appears to be a similarity in the M.O.s of The First, and Lindsey.

The First wanted to keep its souled vampires alive in Amends and S7. It only wanted to torture them into accepting the dark side.

In Soul Purpose Lindsey appeared to have the opportunity to finish Angel off, but he didn't. Instead he put Angel through psychological Hell, then saved him. Or at least, that's the way it seemed.

Question though... How would this fit into the "Lindsey sent the amulet theory"? Would it nullify it?

As for lindseys motives, I've yet to see beyond episode eight so I'm still recovering from his return 😉 I'll state my opinion when Episode Nine gets here... oh yes.... 😀

The second time most definitely, because getting Spike to embrace his dark side aswell, would in fact serve the First.

Yeah but I don't think Spike is the one that will need saving this time around... I think if it is the first and there was going to be a downward spiral in the soul stakes, Spike would be doing the saving 😛

I'm just slightly biased, i've been a fan of Lindsey since his first appearance, and have had many a discussion on the merits of his character 😛

His looks being the high point because lets face it the music career ain't up to much... That CD is in my collection because of you young lady!!!!! 😛
