Modifications Removed Temporarily

I've turned off all modifications to the board for a short period to see if it makes any difference in the server load we've been experiencing. I will bring them back asap.

The "mark as read" box seems to be there but not functional. Is that part of the modifications?

The mark as read worked for me.

With modifications disabled mark as read won't work either.
It might look like it works though with the javascript stuff doing the visible changes.

Reload the page and the threads will look unread again.

For me it does. If you're talking about going into new posts and clicking mark as read. It works as it always has.

Guys, if it isn't working, it's a modification

I want to leave it either until we have an issue or until later today and then I will start adding them back, so just bear with me. We've never had load issues last this long before, and I don't want our host to suspend our account because of it.

Yes, the board runs much better without, which is why we try to remove ones we aren’t using.

Well, just pretend. Essentially, karma is just commenting on someone's post. Like I just did.

This post was way far behind but I managed to comment on it just fine. I think not having karma is a really good thing actually. I support removing it entirely.
