Why did my personal edit fail?

I put up a post about Sam Kerr doing a hip and shoulder charge against a pitch invader in the football match Chelsea played. A perfect hip a shoulder from Aussie Rules Footy.
Upon hearing what the crowd was chanting I editted the post, removing it completely and I thought the post had been removed. The next day I found out it wasn't, can you please tell me what I did wrong.

My post was in The Bronze, the thread was Football (Soccer) thread 2 Page 4.
You Tube has stated the post is unavailable which fixes the reply being seen - problem solved, thanks for your time.

Well the only thing I can think of at the moment is that you didn't wait long enough for it to save? It should show your edited post - did it look like it was edited and then when you went back it wasn't? Let me know if that happens again.
