13 reasons why season 2

Hey all,

Does anybody watch this show? If so, what did you think of season 2?

I'm not a huge fan of season 2 but it has some great moments like Hannah's mother finding the 'Reasons Not To' list. I basically liked everything to do with Hannah but I don't think the other characters are interesting enough so not sure what season 3 will be like now that Hannah's story is over.

I felt like I was watching Oz by the time the finale came around. Seriously, what kind of high school is this? Am I that old? Is this what high school is seriously like now?

That scene in the bathroom with Tyler was so horrible and graphic I felt like I was watching a prison movie. In what universe can someone get away with that in a high school bathroom? Are teenagers really that sick and depraved? And a rape shack on campus? Really??? Really?? And high school coaches covering drugs and rape up? This isn’t the NFL. Who would send their kids to this school? This whole show is ridiculous. Then there’s that cop out at the end. We go through all this horror and this graphic rape scene but then we pull back at Tyler actually committing the school shooting? REALLY!!????? That’s the line they won’t cross???

Honestly I was so mentally exhausted by the time this series was over I don’t know why I bothered. It was like a train wreck I couldn’t stop watching.

Don't be fool by the slow start, things then to escalate quickly in this tv show!

Finished. Wow. Parts are good and parts are a total shitshow.

Random thoughts:

- There was zero healthy grieving from anyone. This was a missed opportunity.
- I wasn't crazy about Clay. He came off too judgemental about Hannah's interest in other boys.
- While sexual assault, drug abuse, and adults excusing teens actions is all believable and a sad reality.....I don't think it's believable that all those actions would continue and become more and more severe as police are investigating and a trial is taking place.
- I wish they would have made Hannah more likable this season but they didn't. Or at least show some compassion for her...but they just reenforced the idea that her death was done TO all the others.
- That scene with Tyler was horrific.
- WTF is up with Jess and Justin's locker room hook up? Seemed odd and OCC for Jess.
- The almost school shooting seemed too gimmicky.
- Does Chloe being pregnant mean they are going to tell some sort of twisted daddy Bryce redemption story? Because I am not here for that bullshit story.
- Why didn't they tell us more about how twisted Monty was? That part didn't seem well thought out.
- My biggest take away is that I hope hope hope people are raising their sons to be better than this.
