20th Anniversary of Angel: 31 Days of Angel

Day 4: What is your favorite AI team?
Angel, Cordy, Wes and Gunn. Like others have said, I love Fred, but I hate that it drove Wes and Gunn apart, them bonding more was one of the best things about Angel firing the lot in season 2.

Day 5: Favourite weapon used in the show?
Angel's double stake set up in City Of... or Gunn's homemade battle axe

Wesley's guns. One of my least favorite things about both shows, is their use of antiquated weaponry, like crossbows and swords. It's the 20th/21st century, c'mon! At least Wes is smart enough to carry guns 😀
 
Favourite weapon, I like the earlier ones, the later the seasons go one the less they got used, I like the ones Fred makes, the homemade one Gunn has, Angel with a sword is always good, but my favourite has to be the Bus that Trish uses in Fredless!

Day 1: Favourite season opener?

I love City Of. I think it sets up the series really nicely, showcasing the noir nature of the show, Angel's characterisation and the ongoing theme of "if nothing we do matters" with Angel unable to save Tina but rescuing and giving Cordelia a sense of purpose. It's a great premiere episodes, one of my all-time faves.

Day 2: What is your favourite episode title?

Not Fade Away. It's poetic and emphasises the way Angel goes out fighting, refusing to disappear into the corruption of W&H.

Day 3: Which character had the best scene?

I have to give this to Faith and her breakdown in the alley in Five By Five. It's raw and visceral and shows how far Faith has fallen and how Angel is able to reach her and offer her some small sliver of comfort and hope. Gives me chills every time.

Day 4: What is your favourite AI team?

Season 3, before Wesley effs it all up, so Angel/Cordy/Wes/Gunn/Fred, with Lorn as a supporting player.

Day 5: Favourite weapon used in the show?

Gunn's homemade ax.

Day 6: What is your go to episode? The one that if you just feel like watching one episode you put it on?

Almost any Season 1 episode but City Of, The Ring and IWRY in particular.

Honorable Mention: Fredless, Smile Time, Shells, Waiting in the Wings (especially the deleted scene😂 ❤), You're Welcome, the Ring, Darla (together with Fool for love) and Spin the Bottle.
(Though the first 3 mostly: Orpheus, Fredless & Smile Time)

Well, many ATS S2 episodes (The dark Angel episodes until Belonging) : Are You Now Or Have Ever Been, Darla, Reunion... And Guise Will Be Guise for LAUGH lol.

Tough question because it wouldn't necessary be my favourite episode of the show. I think I'd go with In the Dark. With Spike being one of my favourite characters of the whole verse we get full on Spike in this episode and the themes are really interesting for Angel the character too. Plus I love the Oz cameo.

I mean, it does depend a little on my mood... but generally, believe it or not, Sense & Sensitivity, that or Reunion. Or Spin the bottle. Also Waiting in the wings... this was hard!

Day 1: Favorite season opener?

Conviction, for basically giving Angel a boost after the miserable drab that was S4. Sort of the same reason I loved Home... it just wasn't anything but EvilCordy, the Beast, S3-S4 Connor or Jasmine.

Day 2: What is your favorite episode title?

A New World. I dunno, I like the title... I just wished it was used to represent Angel's finale than Connor's re-introduction.

Day 3: Which character had the best scene?

Cordy (and Angel) in that scene were they watch the old tape of Doyle in You're Welcome... it sort of brings back that reminiscence from watching S1 again.

Day 4: What is your favorite AI team?

Season 3 (until Groo shows up). It just felt more complete with the team as they were. Then Groo shows up and steals Angel's shtick, then Wesley betrays them...

Day 5: Favorite weapon used in the show?

The Scourge's beacon from Hero. Made that ending of Doyle all the more special that the beacon WAS that powerful.

Day 6: What is your go to episode? The one that if you just feel like watching one episode you put it on?

Home, Conviction, most of Season 5 really... I just love the show right there and then.
 
Day 5: Favorite weapon used in the show?

I never thought about the weapons they used, but @Puppet mentioned Wesley's handguns, and I agree that they're awesome. I also like the sword Angel and Cordy use in You're Welcome. I like the crossbows and the axes too.... But maybe my favorite is the flamethrower in A Hole in the World.

Well, obviously, I Will Remember You.... Season 1 is my go to season in general. I love the episodes, and they're lighter and happier than most. However, I really love Connor, and Connor and Angel's relationship, so A New World, Home and Origin are definitely go-to episodes for me as well. And let's not forget other masterpieces like Lullaby or Not Fade Away.... I just feel like naming my favorite episodes, because those are my go-to episodes...

When I'm not in the mood for a full rewatch, I usually go for the entire Angelus arc in S4, lol, but you only asked for 1 episode, so I guess that may be Smile Time, Hero or Power Play/Not Fade Away.

IWRY is probably the one I pop in randomly the most. But others I tend to just pop in are GWBG, Spin the Bottle and I often pop in Judgment too.

Either Spin the Bottle, Smile Time, or Harm's Way. I love the humour, and in the first two, how the cast has trouble keeping a straight face in several scenes. That's brilliant. 😂
