The only new stuff I watched this year was Mindhunter ans OITNB, but wouldn’t call either a favorite andohmygod as I was writing this I just realized I did watch another show this summer - The good place! That was really great!

It aired early this year so not necessary this TV season but probably Good Girls. I also recently watched The Haunting of Hill House which was worth the hype!

Day 05: A show you hate?
This is a difficult one because I generally don't watch shows I hate, haha. I kinda feel like copying @RachM's answer. The Big Bang Theory is truly awful. I tried to watch it a few times, since an old friend of mine loved it, but yikes! I have no idea how the show has so many seasons. Well, actually, I do have an idea...
I'm going to cheat and name a show I have a love/hate relationship with: Friends. I've been watching it for a few days now. The characters are terrible people. The show is sexist (like, extremely sexist, because of how the men treat women, even if there's a feminist aspect to the show as well), homophobic, fatphobic, etc. The writers have the simple-minded humor of fifth graders who need to make fun of people for stupid reasons in order to be funny. Yet, the show does have its charm, and funny moments. I'm a bit hooked, even though I'm also appalled.

Guessing you didn't watch Friends when it aired in the 90s? It's one of my favourite sitcoms because the humour is so spot-on, but yeah, certain aspects have not aged well.

Too many to list. Instead I will say one that I watched and loved the first season and just hated the following. One good season and the rest was crap. I hated Weeds by the time it ended. People mention Weeds as being one of the best shows of the current era- those people are called nutters.

actually ♥ 1st two seasons. Kind of spiraled after that. Gave up the ghost mid S4 🙁

I think you are overstating that about Weeds. I've not heard anyone talk about it that highly. To me it was more of a small critically acclaimed comedy with a solid fanbase. I strongly disagree that it only had one good season.

Everybody Loves Raymond. His parents are truly repellent, Raymond is the pathetically ineffective husband, his wife it OK but nothing special (as a character) and only his brother is in any way funny. The fact that this show was up for awards shows the parlous condition of television comedy today.
