Some of us actually like a Spike and Angel combination. I ship both, but one half of my ship sinks here. 🙁
I actually thought it was just the Spike and Spuffy forums closed down, and no more Spike threads are allowed. I didn't realize that mentioning Spike in other threads was also gonna be a problem.

I support any move the moderators and admin want to do. It's their forum. I am just a guest. I am free to come and go as I please. I do not pay membership fees for the luxury of posting. Yes, I do support whatever they decide.

I said the same thing earlier - the mods are the mods - this is their board and I respect that. As Buffy said, if anyone disagrees they can leave. I also disagree with this decision - since the thread is about comfort level, just consider it feedback.
 
When I came here, I mentioned a few times how happy I was to find not only a like-minded community, but also a friendly one. I still stick by that. Sure, a couple of times I've disagreed with someone or they've disagreed with me, but it's never been a personal or a malicious thing. Saying this, I've also not been a member for long, so I've not seen any historical issues.

I'm really sorry that someone has been bullied to the point of being physically upset. That's not on and I'm glad it's been dealt with. I hope whoever it is is ok and they can move on from it. It's so easy to take something the wrong way in written communication.

I'm really saddened however that it's come to an entire section of the Buffy community's views being censored, but this is clearly a last resort to an issue that has been festering for a long time. It must be very tough to have to police one section 24/7 "just in case" so I can understand the reasoning behind it, even though, as a Spuffy fan, it will affect me personally as I love talking to fellow fans. It won't stop me contributing to the boards though, because my life doesn't revolve around my choice of ship. I love all of Buffy and will continue to want to talk about it.

But look, it's only the internet, it's only a forum, maybe now people will learn to play nicely with each other.

Hey everyone! I've been a bit too busy with real life stuff to post much on here lately. Still been lurking every couple of days though.

If this is an April fools joke then I tip my hat to Buffy for picking such a nuclear target. Go big or go home as they say!

Unlikely as this seems if this is serious then I think I'll be leaving. This place has always been great for allowing a full range of topics to be discussed in relation to the show and letting different opinions be heard. This would completely fly in the face of that and I wouldn't enjoy the new environment.

Fingers crossed for a big laugh later when the joke is revealed or I guess I'll be saying goodbye to you guys in the next few days.

April's Fool? I don't believe it, it would be of a very bad taste.

Spike/Spuffy fights? Mostly happened because they were answers to very nasty posts about the character and the ship, and most of them with the same person, who had problems with 3 other women in this Board – even when it's a discussion that he is not involved (like yesterday's), he shows up to post something nasty and unappropriated, hence the image I posted (the post was rightly deleted by the mods; I had saved the screen shot because I was feeling that I should - this person likes to act like he does no wrong - and strangely enough, I was right).

The discussion I was involved yesterday – @Iwearthecheese, don't be worried, I'm sure it has nothing to do with you, and I'm sorry that, being new here, you have to deal with all that.

Well, it's about time! That Peroxide Pariah has been haunting this board long enough. He definitely ISN'T family friendly. I applaud your bold decision.

But in this case one of these people was clearly a newbie to these boards- I doubt their intent was malicious but they still got jumped on by an avid Spike-fan.
Then that same person started arguing the toss with a moderator and finally cried that the ant-Spuffies/Spike's had 'won' when this all happened, (like this is any sort of triumph), when they were responsible.
Unbelievable imo.

I'm still thinking this is a joke- the punchline won't be until April 2nd.

Stop trying to blame me, I wasn't involved. YOU upset a newbie member with your bullying and 'reporting' and I also know for a fact more than three people have had problems with you.

At least have the grace and maturity to accept your part in this instead of taking pot-shots at me, like you did on that thread.

My post that you 'saved' (classic!) was directed at the fact that you were picking fights with A MODERATOR who was trying to defuse the situation on both sides but you wouldn't have it.
