Buffy Characters ranked from Buzzfeed

I definitely disagree with a lot of it. Marcus Hamilton deserves better, Dawn should be top 20, Veruca should be lower. Glory should be higher than The Master. Angel should definitely be top 10 and ahead of Angelus. Buffy can't be 5. She at least deserves top 3. I get the choice for Willow at 1 though. She's not my absolute favorite, but I could be easily convinced to say she's the best character. She has the greatest journey and change, as well as the most consistently good plots surrounding her.

I actually think the list did a decent job overall. It's an impossible task. And it begs for outrage.
 
Ok this was always going to be contentious but although Willow isn't my favourite (although she is ONE of my favourites) she's probably the most important character after Buffy in the Buffy side of the verse, Cordelia or Wesley probably occupy the same space in the Angelverse.
 
Angel is especially robbed in this...the buzzfeed writer must be Spuffy for sure!

From what I've seen of Buzzfeed, that's extremely ironic to me given their emphasis on women as victims and men as cruel predators, at least my impression of them is comparable to "tumblr feminism" crap (not to disparage feminism in general).
They got Kennedy's placement absolutely accurate.
Rona should've been lower.
I expected Angel to be higher.
I'm surprised some of the more random potentials made the list, as in the ones that had a name and that was about it. (though it says a lot that Kennedy still ranks lower).
I thought Spike and Willow would have a high position so no surprise there.
I expected Buffy to be higher.
I'm pleased Drusilla was relatively high ranking considering she's not a main character.
 
I'd disagree with the order further down Rona always annoyed more than Kennedy at least Ken for all her faults was positive and did something other than whine but yeah three of my favourite characters in the Top Ten but even though I might not have put them in that order (I'd definately put Wes higher), Anya aside, the top ten is spot on.
 
Well...I liked Faith's placement but some of them are dumb, okay the writer might not like Kennedy but he/she put her below characters that I literally forgot existed. That's wrong.
Also Dawn is far too low.
 
This list is weird (Kenndy at the bottom, Andrew and Illyria and so many others above Angel and Spike above Buffy???) but it is also obviously written from one person's POV and so just reflects their personal preferences. Maybe we should all do our own versions! 😀

To be fair, Spike and Angel have both been above Buffy plenty of times.
I don't agree with a lot of the list : Any list in which Buffy isn't top 2 is pretty bogus, and I wouldn't put Angel below the Mayor (he's cool and all, but come on), nor Faith above Buffy (not like this anyway). I do think having Willow and Spike in the top 3 is fair, and most rankings do the same.

That said, some people's immediate reaction is kind of extreme : "Spike/Spuffy conspiracy !!!". 🙄 Somehow no one screams Willow conspiracy, or Giles, or Faith. Most lists rank Spike highly, get over it. Nor is it necessary to imply being a Spike fan means being anti-feminist or rape apologist. Sing us a new tune.

Yeah, I saw this a while ago and it is absolute nonsense. But that is redundant to say because it is Buzzfeed. I once got sent a video of theirs about guys sitting with their legs apart and in the related videos they had one about painting with period blood. Not even making this up.
 
Poor Ben. I mean he makes cardboard look interesting but to have him above Adam, the Knights of Byzantium and every Potential who isn't Amanda? Harsh!

Kennedy is 100% in the correct spot though.

Oh I forgot Andrew above Angel...I mean it's ANDREW!!! Angel got a spin-off show that lasted 5 seasons on TV and you mean to tell me he is not as important as ANDREW? The best Andrew gets is being a comic relief in S7 of BTVS and one centric episode!

Actually my problem is not with how high Spike is ranked as he totally deserved that spot but how low Angel is. I still prefer Spike as a character but Angel has a lot more development than most of the people higher on the list!
