Buffy in School

Did you ever do something for school about the Buffyverse? Like Buffy studies? I didn't have "Buffy studies" (or Buffyology) as a subject or topic in school, but I still did some Buffyverse related things for school.
I made a little presentation about Alyson Hannigan when we had the topic "Idols and role models". And I even wrote like a small poem about BTVS because we could choose any topic for our poem. And the most recent one: Last week we had the topic "beauty" in school and we had the homework to bring something to class that we consider beautiful. I brought this picture:

Yeah, so those were the things that I did in school, Buffyverse related.
Were you a Buffy fan when you were/are in school? Did you have "Buffy studies" or did you do anything about Buffy for school?

I’m doing English at university now and one of my lecturers has said that in my second year I can write about Buffy for my dissertation 😀 Can’t wait.

As Buffy first aired nearly 20 years after I left school I think we can definitely say no to that one 😀

In college in 2001-2002, University of South Carolina, we watched an episode of Buffy (which one, I can't recall) for a media arts class. The professor thought Buffy was an A+ example of great television. Can't remember what specifically we were talking about (video, sound, editing, scripts, cinematography, lighting, etc.) but I remember being totally thrilled to get to watch Buffy for school.

I used Lessons (S7 Ep.1) with 3rd year undergraduates this year. I managed to mention Edward Said (Orientalism), Roland Barthes (Mythologies) and Betty Friedan (The Feminine Mystique) before the opening credits had finished. We also had a long discussion about the Pre-Raphaelites, myth and fairy-tales. I use BtVS as a reference point all the time. The problem is, not all the class are familiar with it.
