Charisma Opens Up About Whedon

It’s not that I blame her. I dislike this word I’m not against her. But she isn’t doing things in a right way for me. Seriously what Is the point of saying ambiguous phrases here and there ? You tell nothing or you tell enough to at least prevent people to imagine things that can be wrong. Like I said before if she didn’t want to talk, fine, that’s her choice and her right, but if Whedon didn’t sexually abused her, then just a phrase like : I’m not talking about sexual harassment ! And that’s it. She doesn’t say too much and people can stop to imagine things. Because AGAIN it’s one thing to accuse whedon to have inappropriate behavior and to accuse him to be a paedophile. I’m sorry I can’t be clearer that I am right now. You are I are disagreeing.
You're plenty clear. I understand what you are saying. I just don't think that an instagram post really needs give specifics. Write an op-ed post. There are plenty of news sites that would be delighted in publishing an article. And it's more "legitimate" than a social media post, so going into details and examples there seems more normal to me.

I can understand you :)
People can believe whatever they want to believe. You can't blame the victim for that. She was merely stating she too had problems and that wasn't good enough, so she gave more explanations. She doesn't have to tell everything that may have been traumatic to her for the whole world to know. Sometimes just speaking out can lead to you saying more about it later. Look at what happened with Eliza on the set of True Lies. She first said she had problems and it felt unsafe and it was years later before she felt comfortable enough to expand on it. A victim should be allowed to say what they want, when they want.

Now you can debate if she is a victim or not, but saying she needs to tell more than she wants to tell just because some people might get the wrong idea is wrong.

I have to disagree. Her comments have led people to believe Joss was sexually inappropriate with her which makes him look like a paedophile. Whether that was her intention or not, that is what is happening. If Joss was not sexually inappropriate with her, she needs to say that. If he was, she needs to say that. She doesn't have to go into detail, but she needs to clarify otherwise a man is being accused of a serious crime of which he is potentially innocent. If she didn't want to talk about it publicly, she shouldn't have mentioned it publicly. If it's something of a criminal nature, she should go to the police privately, not give vague comments on social media that baits people towards a certain conclusion.

We can just wait and see, if there was actually a "Don't leave Joss alone with Michelle" rule some other cast member will probably confirm it soon enough. If not, people will deny it adamantly. No need to pick a side right this second.

I agree, people should wait for the facts to come out from both sides before jumping to conclusions.

Too late. I just did. And I'm not done.

I genuinely can't tell. You can't be serious? You cannot be proudly saying that you are trolling someone who has gone public about things she has suffered in order to stand beside another abuse victim and lend her support? And then being disappointed that you can't go on to troll the original abuse victim?

This is a joke isn't it? Because if you're not joking - that is despicable. And if you are joking ... it's not funny.

Of course I'm serious. I'm sick to death of "victims" coming forward decades later...this trend is beyond annoying. Its pathetic.

Oh, I discovered that Charisma's Twitter is open, so I feel a lot better.

While I understand how it might seem contentious when victims speak up so far after the fact, the truth is that often victims don't come forward due to shame or fear of not being believed, especially in the case of younger people who have been abused by authority figures. Sometimes it takes another person coming forward for someone to find the courage to speak out themselves. As someone who has both spoken about abuse that has happened to me both when it happened (in one instance) and years after (in another instance) I can understand the reasons for keeping quiet and only coming forward once one feels safe enough/ready to do so.

Wow a woman is saying she was abused as a 15 year old and people on here are attacking her
Seriously, are you Joss Whedon's friends or family, why are you protective towards this guy ?
And who you are talking about ? Give names.

Michelle is jumping on the bandwagon for attention. I hate attention seekers. Gawd
Zoiks! This is beginning to seem kind of Weinstein-ish. Wondering how far this will devolve? 🙈🙉🙊

There's no room for misunderstanding now. She is saying he abused her.
I wonder if SMG feels any guilt over it. I mean she got MT the role, the character age was literally changed from 11 to 14 for her. As a mother herself that's got to be playing on her mind.

I've never seen someone openly and proudly admit to trolling someone. I can't quite get my head round that, not sure I want to.

Whether in your opinion they're telling the truth or not, why would you go out of your way to spread hate? What does that achieve?

And if further down the line there's 100% proof they are telling the truth will you still feel proud about your trolling?

This is clearly a very serious and highly sensitive subject and topic.

I feel for all those involved that have suffered and have decided to speak their truth now years later still feeling the effects even though a lot of time has passed.

I may not necessarily agree with all that is being said but I will respect those who feel differently than me.

MT has decided for herself to come out and make the comments she has. If she does not feel the need to want to clarify then that is entirely up to her but it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone how many can react on Twitter and if anyone makes the decision to make an kind of statement on there then they should realise they will have to deal with any kind of positive and negative response.

Not everyone is going to agree with you and will question anything being said and choosing to do it in that way will leave the person open to any judgement that some will have.

It would be brilliant if she was getting total support from all but no has the right to expect others to not want to question certain aspects of her or anyone else's comment.

I think it can basically be agreed that JW has not be a great man in regards to his working situations with many people and for a lot of people, they want to see him answer for this, but what has been possible suggested for the situation with MT is extremely serious and if it is not the case then it does need to be clarified because there shouldn't be any misunderstandings of a situation if it wasn't what actually happened.

Again not agreeing with someone's thoughts shouldn't be about disrespecting them in a condescending manner just because they don't have the same kind of thought process in that now the accusations have come out, JW should totally be condemned. From my perspective I understand why others can question aspects of everything that is happening with all those involved like MT and CC.
