For the disclaimer of the copyright holder who allows the genius words to appear here, even if those genius words appear in the wrong order to be genius, I thank the copyright holder anyway.

FOR BLONDIE BEAR

To that kindly compassionate being who spoke those wonderful words that could be deemed to include them be a passionate nature. I chose to ignore them so as to not confuse my dear Blondie Bear, I love hoping that he will see great passion rising from the squares of my handmade quilt.
I purposely stitched images of vampires sucking the blood of slayers from all parts of time. Though none are even close enough to the slayer of this time, save for Kendra or Faith, I’ll not mention the other one, she whose body I hate with such a fierce ferocity.
What has that slayer got that two unhallowed vampires want her to like them, I was tempted to picture her on the quilt hanging from the hanging tree. Though I doubt he would allow me to use the word, my Blondie Bear wouldn’t allow me to present a picture on this quilt of her hanging from the hanging tree even with her blood draining from her dying body.
To keep myself happy I’ll close my eyes when I know my Blondie Bear when is kissing her. I’ll know the word that’ll describe what I see as .. .. ugh!

And the count is 200 words.

Here endeth the first attempt.

I forgot to comment on this yesterday, but this is perfect :)
Title: The Quiltening
Buffy had to admit that this was the weirdest thing she’d ever done in her life. And she was a vampire slayer, professionally. It didn’t get much weirder than that. Yet here she was.

Quilting.

Beware the almighty vampire slayer; the Chosen One. Buffy tried not to picture the various Big Bads she’d fought over the last six odd years, pointing at her. Laughing.

‘The Mayor was child’s play compared to this.’ She muttered to herself, determined.

‘Why am I even doing this?’ She asked herself a few minutes later, as she pricked herself in the finger once again. Buffy reckoned that she had to be insane. This is what caused her to finally snap. A quilt. Vampires? Nothing! End of the world? So, last season. Quilts were apparently an entirely different matter.

She couldn’t give up. This would be the best birthday present ever. Or, admittedly the worst as this quilt was butt ugly, but it was the idea that counted, at least that’s what Buffy told herself. Nevertheless, Tara would love it and it was worth enduring all the teasing from her friends.

Anything for that smile.

Not that she cared when Tara smiled like that. Definitely not.

(it's been a while since I've written anything Buffy-related so I was a bit rusty! Hope you like it 🙂 )

Oh, so you were and therefore are, A Bit Rusty though maybe you'd prefer AbitRusty, and I thought you was/ is Foxy - Lady. Congrats on the tale.
Just a thought Foxy, what if your story was from the series Highlander, would The Quiltening be The Quickening? Maybe the Quicken Quilten?

I vote for Quicken Quilten for sure

The End

well you did say less than 350 words and I think you have to agree, that was a lot less.

Lost

Cordelia's visions weren't always the most clear, but surely they should have found the couple they were supposed to have saved by now. Instead they had been driving around for an hour looking for a certain building, with the loved up couple down the alley next to it. However there had been no sign of the building or the couple, they were just going around in circles and not in an area any of them knew. They were all getting very frustrated, and just hoped that Cordelia had not got them lost.

The Lost One

Despite the loud beating of her soon-to-be-stopped heart, sound of her thoughts were flooding Jenny’s mind all at once: “I probably made some time for myself.” “After I climb these stairs I can reach the top floor and from there I can go for the fire escape door.” “But where exactly did he go?” “Oh! I almost tripped over on this step.” “I can’t hear his footsteps behind me.” “My chest aches.” “AH!” She forgot how to breathe but her blood rushed to her head even more intensely. “Those yellow eyes are fluorescent.” “My arms don’t move!” “It suddenly smells like iron.” “I don’t feel my legs!” “I can feel his hand next to my ear.” “I need to scream. Why can’t I?” “I should be pushing him away then be going for the fire esc...”

Cornered in a dark alleyway outside the Bronze, a young woman cries for help. Out comes Buffy,

"You know, it's kind of nice of you guys to hang out around the Bronze so often. See, Giles, I can patrol and enjoy onion flowers. Two birds with one stone."

She snaps off a piece of wood and throws the makeshift stake at the vampire, completely penetrating one knee and impaling the other. The half-breed, out of his depth, falls to his knees.

"You're safe now. Go home." Buffy tells the damsel, though the look on her face revealed she wasn't so much distressed as amused.

"Thanks for the assist," the giggling girl replies, "But I plan on cooking him first. Raw vamps just don't sit that well with me. Hey, do you know any good recipes for vamp filet? My friend had this one, but I can never get it quite right. I always dust 'em before they get fully fried."

Before the slayer can remark any words of astonishment, a door swings wide open, and one terrified ex-vengeance demon comes running out, carrying a most unsatisfactory cocktail in her hand.

"Buffy, we need to find Willow. Something very strange is going on here."

"You're telling me."

"I think we're living in a world without any shrimp!"

Buff raises an eyebrow...

Cue titles.

ANSWERS

Buffy and Spike had passed the time by reading the Codex. They discovered a passage that caused them to find another path written between the lines. After reading that passage they discovered the Powers That Be had created vampires by causing a being known to be brought to earth to be their mother. On a date that had been specified Fred was devoured from the inside by Illyria. With that date passed all vampires with souls had become the children of Illyria. Buffy saw it as funny that Spike and Angel had the same mother. "Please guys, start an argument".

There it was, the small obituary in the local newspaper, seeing it written there in black and white made everything so real. Her mother was dead, and now so had to carry on without her. It wasn't meant to be this way, slayers died young, she had already died once, she was meant to be the one with the obit, not her mother. Yet here it was, a few short lines announcing that Joyce had died.

So there it was, her first day in a new job at her school. A student had come to speak to the school students counsellor, to tell Buffy her woes. Buffy really did want to know how Cassie felt; then felt shocked that Cassie believed she would die. Like the coins that would fall on the floor Cassie Newton would soon be no more. She was to be a victim of some stupid boys dreams of being rich but their dreams was just one of those things. Cassie just knew that on the Friday she would die, her life was destined, she'd become a few lines of an obituary in the local newspaper.

Joss was feeling his years, his cast had sung through another episode and they had done a good job, but trying to pick a favourite tune was too much for him. He'd tried to think of a title for the episode - he wanted to have a title that spelt how wonderful the episode was.
So far all he had was 'Once' - he knew he needed more, the episode told him he needed more.
Instead he made himself a cheese sandwich but it didn't taste right, he needed to make another, for it to be better. Once More With Feeling he said.
