Alright I'm watching Firefly for the first time!!!
Gotta love that Whedonverse 😀
So basically I've finished episode 1 now and I'll be updating it to finish the rest of the series & then I'll be reviewing the movie too!
So my thoughts on episode 1 & the series so far
LOVE the series so far!
Outer space is deffo a show I want to see & I love when movies do twists about space.
Mal is perfect! So sexy! He's a great leader with charm, charisma, attitude but you can tell he's caring at the same time! Deffo my fav
Kaylee is so innocent and I hated seeing her be shot! Thank god she's okay!
I really love Zoe & Gina Torres is a fantastic actress (much better then Jasmine on Angel S4 😛)
Inarra is adorable too!
Zoe & Wash have a cute friendship!
& wow that episode 1 was long but great especially since the series is so short.
River Tam's backstory is amazing & I can't wait/hope to see it explored so much more 🙂
Simon the Dr. is very cute & he has a great relationship with his sister!
I don't like Jayne idk why but he seems annoying af .
Overall can't wait to continue!
Will be reviewing every episode & the movie in this thread

Was a really good pilot. Space western was certainly unique premise. Glad you're liking it so far. Think you'll enjoy the show. 🙂
Don't know it you've heard, but the 2nd episode was originally aired first by FOX. Which is just bizarre. 😵

It's really great so far! & Kaylee is so pretty in that gif haha. I'll deffo be excited to see more of the characters !

Badger was in the first episode. He's the one (guy peeling apple with weird machine) who wouldn't buy their loot. It was on same planet where they picked up Book, Simon & River.

I don't think too much of him yet.
I only tried focusing on the main characters this first episode !
+ I'm too busy staring at Mal haha 😉

Firefly Episode 2!!!
- okay I love Mal he's so funny and charismatic & so cute I'm in love
- Inara and Kaylee have the cutest friendship ever!!!!
- I feel like they're hinting Mal & Inara and that would be such a cute relationship
- Jayne is super annoying & seems to think he's the boss.
- this episode was not as good as the premiere but still good.
- the fight scene near the end was everything.
- I loved Mal kicking the guy off the ship at the end! So badass and hot!

I agree I really like Mals personality. and hate Jaynes personality. Im hoping they give me something more endearing for Jayne so maybe i can understand him more
Firefly Episode 3 : Bushwhacked
- Mal & Zoe are a great fighting duo & I love their friendship
- I like that we see more fun scenes in this show because Joss's other shows don't get enough of those
- Jayne is coming across extremely unlikeable I cannot stand how he treats Simon & River
- I feel so bad for River clearly they messed up in that institution
- Simon & Mal are so good looking haha.
- I ship Mal & Inara. I really hope they get together soon.
- Kaylee is so positive. I love it!
- I wish they'd explore/focus on Wash's character more.
- I love that Inara's job of being a "companion" is so accepted. Very good feminist writing there.
- I was so scared when they were checking the ship that they would find Simon & River aboard!
- Mal is so charming, best one liners and killed the crazy guy at the end!
Iconic!

we had a lot of the same impressions!!! except youre far more infatuated with Mal than I was lmao!! But I so agree about Wash because I love his little one liners soooo much that I wish there was more!
Firefly Episode 4 : Shindig
- Inara has the most gorgeous style I love it
- The ball was so cute !
- Mal was so sweet bringing Kaylee to the Ball.
- I love how Kaylee was so excited at the ball such a sweetheart.
- Mal and Inara are just getting cuter and cuter I ship them so hard!
- Zoe & Wash are so adorable awe!
- River "call me if anyone interesting shows up" I screamed!
- This was a decent episode!

hahahah I love how we have the same reactions! Inara does have the best style!! I ship her and Mal too,. Zoe and Wash are adorable. I LOL'd at that River line too
You're speeding right through these episodes aren't you? 😉 I'm glad you enjoying yourself. Can't wait until you get to Out Of Gas, my personal favorite. And I agree with everything you said, everyone's totally awesome except for Jayne. Which is perfect, actually, because he's a jerk in real life as well. Maybe that's why he played his part so well. Hmmm.

I'm speeding through Firefly cause while I love it! I much prefer Dollhouse so I'm going slower on that then Firefly! And yes Jayne sucks!
I wish River would get more development tho! I understand she's screwed up mentally but ah I need her to get some development!

I agree on River. I watched Dollhouse right before I watched Firefly and I am a little partial to Dollhouse also. But I like Alan Tudyk's character more in Firefly than I did in Dollhouse.
