Hi everyone.

I'm new here and think the best way to start is to introduce myself and get to know everyone 🙂

I'm Ryan. I live in Ireland and have been a fan of Buffy for the past 15 years. I was 10 years old when I became aware of the show, just as it was ending. I watched all the re-runs and became addicted. My mother then kindly purchased the full season box set for me, and there began my Buffy obsession.

I have used a few Buffy sites in the past, namely ********* and others under the username Midnight Butterfly (corny... I know), but have been completely inactive from the fandom for several years and have never been on the BuffyBoards before (I have no idea why it has taken so long!)

With the launch of the Boom Buffy & Angel comics, a new novel, and talks of a tv-show spinoff/revival, I just needed to join an online community to share my thoughts and get to know other fans, because none of my friends are fans and I need other people to discuss it with 🙂

I intend to visit the boards regularly and participate in all the fun activities I'm sure you all get up to. I look forward to seeing everyone around, and will hopefully have an avatar, banner and profile information up soon once I get used to the navigation here at BB (do people even shorten BuffyBoards to BB?) haha

When I created my account it said I had to await authorisation as may already have an account, although I don't remember ever having one. It must have been inactive maybe? Is there any way of tracking if I had an old account?
 
Welcome or should I say welcome back lol. Nice to see another Irish fan.

I only joined Buffy Boards last year, but I think it’s a great website for talking Buffy and other stuff. Best Internet forum imo and one of the few still quite active.

I love Faith and Cordelia. They’re two of my favourite characters too. Earshot is one of my fav episodes as well.

Thanks for the welcome Kratos. I definitely agree it’s nice to see another Irish fan.

Buffy Boards does seem very active which is rare for forum, which I was both happy and surprised to discover. I miss forums, social media just is not the same.

Welcome to the boards! I trust you have looked around at the posts people have been making here and I was impressed by the civility and intelligence. So I have been on these boards every day for about 2.5 hours a day meaning I have spent a tenth of my life here for the past six years. Time well wasted!
