What I refer to as "two-parters" here: Two episodes that are connected with a "to be continued" remark.

BtVS Two-Parters:
  1. Welcome to the Hellmouth & The Harvest
  2. What's My Line?: Pt. 1 & Pt. 2
  3. Surprise & Innocence
  4. Becoming Pt. 1 & Pt. 2
  5. Graduation Day Pt. 1 & Pt. 2
  6. This Year's Girl & Who Are You?
  7. The Yoko Factor & Primeval
  8. Bargaining Pt. 1 & Pt. 2
  • What are your three favourite two-parters, why?
I hope I didn't forget to add any. I've always thought Bad Girls & Consequences, Two To Go & Grave (let's add Villains and make it a three-parter,) and End of Days & Chosen to be two-parters but I checked the end of the episodes and there wasn't a "to be continued" remark. If I missed some episodes, let me know, please. 😄

What I refer to as "unofficial two-parters" here: Two episodes that are not connected with a "to be continued" remark but you strongly think that they make a better sense when viewed together.
  • What other two episodes would you consider as your favourite "unofficial" two-parter(s), why?
In a show like BtVS where each episode usually effects the following one, the choices might seem impossible to be narrowed down, that's why I'm asking your favourites. 😁

The best two parter is maybe a crossover ? I love the What's My line duo though .

Surely Darla/Fool For Love is right up there with the best of them .

Sure! I didn't watch Angel as a whole so I am quite unaware of good crossovers other than Faith and Willow ones.
I love Becoming Part 1 & 2.

Unofficial, I agree with @Puppet's choices, I love the following 2 pairs:
1) Bad Girls and Consequences
2) Enemies and Choices

Although, it's really the 4 episodes that follow Faith's descend into darkness. I think that they are great and closely follow her path, showing how she going a bit further down in each of them until she makes her "choices."

I have my reasons for liking the 2-parter that started off the series and the one that ended s3 as mainly a really good self-enclosed within them while being so good in their own way.

As for unofficial...well not exactly a two-parter, but I'd say The Wish followed by Doppelgangland.

Went for Surprise/Innocence and Becoming as an Angelus arc obsessive, but disappointed I couldn't be greedy and also pick This Years Girl / Who are you ( and Graduation Day)

Agree with @thrasherpix with The Wish and Doppelgangland as an unofficial 2 parter, and always saw Hells Bells and Entropy as kind of a 2 parter

I love Entropy so I'm going to count this as my unofficial two-parter.

As for an official one, well they are all great, but I love This Year's Girl & Who Are You? as both episodes are great, whereas with the other two-parters there is one very strong episode and one not so strong.

Bargaining Parts 1 and 2 for me.

The image of Buffy being reconstituted in the grave is one of the most shocking in the entire show. Having her wander through town in a complete PTSD state and asking Dawn, "Am I in hell?" gives some indication of how devastating her return was. The Buffybot gets pulled apart but tells Dawn about the real Buffy being back. And of course demon bikers everywhere, threatening the spell than threatening everyone else gives us a picture of what Sunnydale would be like without a slayer to compare with the other vision of not having a slayer in "The Wish".

Surprise & Innocence, but mainly cuz I think it’s a pivotal moment for the overall series and it’s peak television. The others are just as good, but some of them are seasons finales and kinda have to be climatic.
