The show made it extremely clear that he was her father figure. Imagining the two of them ever in a relationship, especially after the way he sees her in Restless is….🤢

A pleasant couple with no expectation of each other beyond watching TV and eating junk food together

2. Johnathan and Anya

He would definitely emerge as a different person. Maybe dead, but different.

3.Riley and Joyce

Two attractive people being attracted and it relieves Buffy of having to deal with him. Or he could be Buffy's stepdad.👨‍👨‍👧

4. Principal Snyder and Drusilla

Romance is in the air. One tough individual paired with another. Or maybe he could end like Holland Manners. Or maybe his end was best as written.

5. Xander and Amy Madison

He used her services before and OK it didn't work as planned but they would be a handsome couple.

Canonwise, I always thought Robin and Buffy was a weird pairing. Non canon, I can't see the appeal of Spike/Xander.

I have done Xander/Dawn (never read comics)
And Riley/Angel (blame EF April fools!)
Giles and Buffy is SICK VILE AND EXPLOITATIVE.
The other three make no sense, though Riley/Harmony as a form of punishment (for both) has merit!

I'm going to join the "Buffy/Giles EWW!" squad. I've also seen someone do Connor/Buffy, which for some reason grosses me out more than Connor/Cordelia (probably because Cordelia was possessed. And never actually slept with his dad.) I've also seen Connor/Drusilla, which falls into the just plain weird category.
(Really, Connor with almost anyone is weird.)
