New to Buffyverse, New here

Hi everyone!! I am veryyy new to the Buffyverse, I literally finished watching everything few days ago. I am a hugeee Spike fan and the finale just ripped my heart out - how do I go back to normal life now?? I know I'm 30 years late but I felt so devastated and have no one to discuss these feelings and love with!
I literally made a tumblr just for this show, I watched multiple Youtube compilations lol. I have not read fanfiction but it looks like I need to start with BtVS withdrawals. I am new to forums, so this is also very new to me, but I am excited to interact with you all!
 
Welcome to the forum! Don't worry about Spike, he shows up the following year in Angel the series and has a great season there. I hope you enjoy the intelligence and civility of this forum, it is unique in fan forums.

I was really very glad when he does pop up, it's the more humourous version of him. But my Spuffy heart did want a more concrete ending for them on-screen hehe. I am looking forward to exploring!

Welcome!! I'd love to read your thoughts on specific episodes. There are episode threads here, they might be old but dont be afraid to post and bump them up. Hearing new fans opinions is so fun! Get posting 😀

I could, and I could add sausage instead of man, since we've obviously scared this member off!

I never did an intro thread and I'm still here, maybe intro threads are cursed. Seems so many people do them and then they just disappear never to be seen again. What a waste of typing fingers.

Glad you said usually @thrasherpix otherwise you would not be here which makes you cleverer than any of us ever thought.
I can't remember if I did an intro thread, it was either that boring or that long ago. I dare say between us we'll cover both of them.
Some folks who come to this wonderful place really are to clever, them being able to completely disappear!
 
@ ILLYRIAN, agreed you invest time in them and then they dissapear, have the courtesey to say i dont like it here and then leave, we are not spooky or boogeyman just people who like Buffy and Angel, just invest time here its nice here

There is a Spike subforum in Cast & Characters. And Spike is probably more discussed here on the rest of the board than either Buffy or Angel. 😛

I'm a Spike fan with my favorite alterating between Buffy season 2 and Angel season 5 (I trust you've seen that). I'm not a Spuffy fan, but then I'm not into shipping in general.

I love the banter! I find it just as civilised! Also I couldn't find my password for the longest time, and I don't tend to use the internet as much so I am glad to be back here and give in my two pennies as a newbie.

Thank you for letting me know! I am a fogey with forums; I cannot for the life of me insert a image signature haha.

Spike truly is such a wonderful, nuanced, entertaining character! There is so much to discuss about him, foremost being he can both be defined by the forces of good and evil equally! I did enjoy Angel S5. that is my fav out of all of them although I wish Cordy were around too. For Buffy, my fav season is S6!

I understand not being into shipping, I tend to be selective about it too. I didn't realise I was becoming a Spuffy fan until it was too late lol!

He really is so entertaining!! Every scene is a scene stealer for me.
Wow, the fav episode is a really tough question. I enjoyed so many so I won't call them favs but continuing...Once More With Feeling, Tabulah Rasa, Touched, Hush, Grave...I am missing many more. My fav season is S6, I loved the themes explored there and it just felt like the seasons were getting better and better. It has my fav scenes in the entire show, and I just loveee it. Plus it gave us Spuffy (minus the horrible scene) so I love it more so. I did not enjoy S7 as much (I still did due to Spike) due to the Potentials storyline, it felt a bit rushed and I did not like Kennedy x Willow at all, it felt the writer didn't know what to do with Spike or Spuffy, among other issues.
I loved Druscilla, I actually started appreciating Tara even though I wasn't sure of her impact at the beginning. She's compassionate, a safe space for Buffy even, rational and powerful and so sweet and welcoming. Also Oz...Willow really got lucky with her partners haha. I love Faith, Giles (I can expand on it later, it's already getting long...). Oh, and I enjoyed Cordelia too, her character arc from Buffy to Angel was great (we need justice for her arc)
I did not enjoy S4/S5 starring Riley as much, he was okay in the beginning but he got more tiring and so unlikeable as we got more episodes. Least fav characters...I have a few/ I HATED Warren, I don't like the trio but that disgusting....I really disliked Xander sometimes but I understood his role too. I disliked Kennedy a lot. Angel (especially as Liam) because he is my least favorite character on Buffy but I like him on his own show. He’s a completely different personality and vibe (I feel Buffy and Angel stifle each other's personalities) and I liked Angelus.
I started on a whim, I didn't have anything on my watchlist and decided to go in with no expectations....and now I am completely obsessed and I cannot explain it. I watched everything, the only left is the movie 😱
