"Fine," said Joyce. "I wanna watch Passions anyway, and make a nice steaming cup of herbal tea. I suggest you rearrange your coat collection when we get home. You've got about fifty. Think we should have a tag sale sometime?"

Buffy frowned as she tried to absorb the highly uncharacteristic mom babble: "Uhm, Mom... why are you being all avoidy and busy mom?"

"Well Buffy, I have wonderful news", Joyce said with a wide smile.

 

[wolfheart]

" I am getting married, i met this wonderfull man and he proposed to me", said Joyce, Buffy rolled her eyes, why wasnt she happy for her mother?

"Mom, you just got back here from heaven, just when did you meet someone?" Buffy found herself remembering that beautiful floral arrangement from the day her mom died.

"Oh I've known him for years Buffy", Joyce told her like it was obvious.

"Brian?" Buffy's squealed like Dawn with a fresh jalapeno, peanut butter and anchovy sandwich.

"It's Spike," replied Joyce, her blue eyes widening with softness. "He has such a fondness for Passions, and it turns out he knows quite a bit about art. And, well, one thing led to another, dear."

Buffy fainted.

She came too later on her living room couch, a cool cloth on her head, a small bruise on her arm from the fall.

Joyce hovered over her, eyes solicitous like a true mother.

Then the object of Joyces affection walked in, Spike lit a cigaret and looked at Buffy and said ""Always wanted a slayer as my stepdaughter" he smurked

Buffy looked confused, then planted her hands on her hips menacingly.

 

[Joan the Vampire Slayer]

Buffy looked at Joyce and Spike sternly. "Mom, you're not going to marry Spike, okay? End of story. Now, let's watch Passions and be done with this nonsense."

 

[silvermoon]

Spike grinned a cocky grin and pulled out his cigarette lighter deftly from his back jeans pocket, then coolly appraised them both.
