So around two and a half years ago back in late-2023, I made my very first BTVS edit called The Lucid Dream Acid Trip Fiasco which was heavily inspired by the fan edit Star Trek: Acid Party. I was planning on doing more of these edits but because I doing online college work around the time, I lost interest in video editing and completely forgotten about my work.
Then just recently, which was this month while digging through my files on my old Vimeo account, I found the unlisted video for my project. However, this wasn't the original master copy as the originals included 3 parts of the project (basically 3 separate 30+ minute episodes); but I knew I found the hour-long version of the project which is now available to watch on YouTube.
However, that got me thinking. Now that I'm months away from completing my associate's degree program alongside dealing with some mental health challenges, I thought about making a sequel to The Lucid Dream Acid Trip Fiasco or making a similar BTVS-style edit later this year. Now that I have a better computer as well as enhanced video editing software (aka VEGAS Pro) and high-quality copies of Buffy/Angel, I have the opportunity of returning to my video-editing roots.
If I'm successful in creating a sequel to the project, it would probably be 2 hours long and will include more psychedelic scenes from Buffy episodes; but it depends on whether or not I get a copyright strike from YouTube as I'm concerned that a 2-hour sequel will probably be boring to some people.
Let me know if I should make more edits or do something to improve on my work. Any advice would be helpful!
