I will watch it at some point. A group horror watch is a good idea. There's a horror movie called Perfection on Netflix (got the girlfriend out of Get Out) that's meant to be good. Also a film called Piecing which maybe more of a thriller but worth a watch. Sad to hear A Quiet Place 2 has now had its release pushed back till later this year.

The Shawshank Redemption (1994) 8/10

The Invisible Man - 7/10
It's a 7 for Elisabeth Moss her performance was worth the watch and the film also has well made scares and tension. There's a lot of things about the story that isn't well explained though and I didn't really get the ending.

@Mr Trick Maybe you could explain the ending to me I do feel like I've missed something 😂

Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince. 7.5/10.

All About My Mother 9/10

One of the best pieces of media I've had the pleasure to encounter about womanhood, solidarity among women, and the diverse forms that the female experience can take.

Love Almodóvar - I've got 3 box-sets - I'll re-watch if we're quarantined. :)
Night of the Comet (1984) - Carbon dated fun, just makes me think of Stranger Things 8/10

Very enjoyable. And you know it inspired a certain Mr. Whedon in creating the "hit television show"?
@TriBel I can't wait to see more films from him. They all sound so promising, I don't even know where to start. Any particular recommendations? 🙂
I'm notoriously bad at remembering the plots of films (hence I keep them because it's easy for me to re-watch) but using the collections as a prompt I'd recommend: Volver; Bad Education; Talk to Her; Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown and The Skin I Live in. I've just discovered I've got Broken Embraces but I haven't watched it (seriously, this is the story of my life! As a result of this conversation, I'm probably going to order Pain and Glory and not watch that for a couple of years 🙄). Have fun! 🙂

Thank you! And good luck with getting to those movies. Sometime.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Ultimate Edition) - 7/10

I'm not sure why everyone hated this film so much
I Have to agree. I thought that this was a pretty good movie, especially in its extended form (Too bad Whedon reshot so much of "Justice League" that very little of Snyder's original story became unusable, so that it couldn't have gotten the same treatment) . Not great, but certainly not the piece of crap that it was said to be. I especially liked Affleck's portrayal of Batman as a man who had been wearing the cape and cowl for twenty plus years, tired, grim, but still dedicated. The tendency is to portray all of our superheroes as being young men and women, just starting out in their career, as if they all popped into existence within a year of each other.

Capricorn One 8/10

NASA fakes the first trip to Mars, then has to murder the "returning" astronauts in order to keep the hoax from ever being discovered. James Brolin, Elliot Gould, O J Simpson, and Hal Holbrook. Worth going to the trouble to find if you like movies that depend more on actual acting than CGI and spectacular stunts. Amazon has it on Prime, which is convenient if you're on the plan.

That's the movie about the Long Island serial killer right? Does it stick to the known facts or does it fictionalize a lot of stuff?

I couldn't say. To me it played as very realistic. A very engrossing watch with a strong cast. Not perfect, but really worth a watch.
