Right, ok, well hello Buffy Boards. I'm very pleased and honoured to be the opening host for this year's Buffy Awards. Please take your seats, the ceremony is about to begin!

Wow! Thank you so much Sandra and the Potentials for that excellent introductory act. Weren't they fantastic, you guys?! Sandra told me just before she went on that she was inspired to write and perform that song after learning she herself was a Potential Slayer back in 2003, and credits Buffy for saving her ailing movie career..... well good for you Sandra! And thanks for performing tonight! 😀

Well the place is packed tonight and I have to be honest you guys, this is my first time hosting....

**Audible gasps from the crowd**

I know, I know, you can hardly tell right?! *nervous laugh* *swigs some champagne* I am so thrilled to be here tonight hosting these awards, and let me tell you, we have a board so full of talented, funny and smart individuals here.... but enough about me, let's delve into these awards right! 😀

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is 20 years old this year! Amazing right, that a show twenty years old is still bringing people together for discussion, friendship and all round merriment. I'm proud to be part of this community, and this night is to celebrate everyone who goes above and beyond in this community. Yeah, I'm taking about YOU GUYS! **points into audience**

And without further ado, I'd like to welcome to the stage the one, the only, our illustrious leader herself, MISS BUFFY SUMMERS to present the first award of the evening.
