Was Cordelia a hero?

I've noticed some people on here didn't like Cordelia on Angel, or just thought she was ruined because of season four's arc.
However, besides Jasmine, do you think she earned the hero status?
She fought hard with Angel for three years, the visions killing her day by day. She hid her status of her health degrading.and killing her to save people. She had a chance to remove the visions and change her existence to become who she always wanted to be. Then she made the final decision to become a demon so she could continue to save innocents. Then the whole thing with The Powers That Be that hijacked her body and ruined her to the fanbase. Even if it wasn't her, You're Welcome redeemed her in the eyes of fans and made her a true hero. Dying just so she could bring Angel back on track and give him her visions so he could stop the huge attack.

Do you guys agree?

I think she definitely became a hero. Maybe in season 2 already when she started to group up a little bit. I really try to forget that season 4 happened and when I watched it I was very conscious it was not her. I think she is one of the most well-developed characters in the show and I think the fourth season is an insult towards the actress and character!
