@Taake For the last 3.5 years I tested INFP on this website. A couple of days ago I took it again and I tested INTP but with score 51% of Thinking vs 49% of Feeling, so that probably doesn't say much.😄 I tested ENFP, INTP, even ISFJ at different times on other websites, too. However, I've been into the "cognitive functions" aspect of MBTI and by inspecting them, I would classify myself into either INFP or ENFP. 😜 I think that 16personalities website prepares and evaluates its test based on the direct comparison between Introversion - Extroversion, Intuition - Sensing etc. but normally the MBTI system bases its types on cognitive function stacks. The cognitive functions require a bit more explanation, if anyone's interested, I can explain. 😄
@TriBel Yeah I read that some schools or workplaces administer this test. 🤔 I never came across one though.
The system itself is not considered science. There are many online testers or even official test centers that prepare tests for people to sort them into one of the personality types based on MBTI's system; but I don't consider any of them as the "real test" because there is no such thing. 🤔 MBTI itself isn't an official part of personality psychology either.
For the last couple of years, I've been into this system and discovered that anything related to it should be taken with a grain of salt, especially the tests, and shouldn't be relied on for real life decisions etc. I still find it
somehow useful when trying to understand myself but only as a fun way to do it. Some of my friends and I used the system in order to understand each other by discussing the corresponding differences and dynamics between our types; and it helped
somehow, only to some extent that was helpful to us when trying to figure out why our thinking patterns or some opinions differ.
Also, I discovered that it was a fun way to approach fictional characters and their relationship dynamics, especially when combined with Enneagram.
The reason why I shared 16personalities website but not another one here is because its results made sense to people I shared it with before and because the website has cute graphics and seems more put together than the other ones. 😄
