The scoobies always had a base, a place to meet and to have their research and planning in. They changed bases over the years, but they always had one (Well, except for season 9, when there was no scooby gang for most of the season...), and it always gave room for fun and funny character interactions. So, which one did you like best?

I enabled multiple choices, because choosing is hard...

(The library is totally going to win, isn't it?)

Hmmm it was hard to choose. I have fond memories of Giles' house as Season 4 was my first season and a lot of amusing things happened there.

I also like Buffy's house because it's a beautiful house, but season 7 sucked so I couldn't bring myself to choose it.

The Magic Box is the best for me because it was a little reminiscent of The Library but being a public place, it was also the best out of all the "bases" for allowing interactions with non-scoobies and other random characters who could come in without a convulted reason.

So many of the show's classic set pieces occur in the library and I like the running gag about it being a good meeting place because Sunnydale students barely use it😛 Love the design of it too.

The Magic box would be my second choice. Again great look and it gave Giles a new purpose. Plus like how the library providing the Scoobies with the important resources for early seasons, so did the Magic Box for later seasons.

@Guy, were you the one vote for the castle base? 😛

I picked the library. It reminds me of my high school (or secondary school) library. My school had 3 buildings so it was pretty big. It had the different levels to the books, and the high set windows.

I like the mellow lighting in the library set too, whereas I always found the Magic Box to be overly bright.

@Guy, were you the one vote for the castle base? 😛

Naturally. 😀

I picked the castle, the magic box, and Giles' house. Giles' house was just really fun (with gags like chained up Spike, and "Giles has a TV! He's shallow like us!", etc...), and the scottish castle was just really different and interesting and it helped give season 8 that epic, mythic feeling (and it gave us hilarious memories like Giant Dawn sleeping in a barn, and everyone walking in on Buffy and Satsu, and the army of elizabethan dancing zombies, etc...), and the Magic Box was just the ultimate scooby base - useful (because it's full of magical stuff), and humanizing (because it's an actual shop, with the typical everyday situations that come with that), and quirky ("This mummy hand has ceased to be!" "It is an ex-mummy hand!"😀). I would have voted for the library too, but I knew that everyone would pick it anyway...

I'm going with Giles' house and the Friends-style arrangement.
The Library was definitely a good, familiar classic but some of my favorite S4 episodes and moments make me a lot more fond of Giles' house as a setting.
The Friends-style arrangement in S10 comes across a bit cliche to me, but I also just really like how it gives the impression of an environment where they're all casual, friendly and accessible to each other. Dumb, simple little bits of people's downtime that we get to see are there. Speaking of which, I wonder what will happen with the kittens, haha. Will they get sort of forgotten about like with Miss Kitty Fantastico?

I also like Buffy's house because it's a beautiful house, but season 7 sucked so I couldn't bring myself to choose it.
Same thought process I went through!

Gotta go for the classic. The library gets my vote.
So many iconic Buffy moments took place there.

/SK

Yep I'm with the majority, the library is just a classic. The first and the best 🙂 I love Buffy's house too, so much good stuff happened there.

Yes, yes it is. The library is classic Buffy and it's where I always picture the scoobies meeting.

I absolutely agree, and that's actually part of the reason why I didn't choose it - it's just TOO classic, it's... it's vanilla. It's the most nostalgic base, but that also makes it the least interesting one, to me. The other bases don't have that same feeling of home that the library has, but they're more interesting and "Spicy", to me.

Man, what's up with the food metaphors? I'm gonna go eat something...

Nothing beats the classic. I picked the library. I also love the castle and wish there were more advantures during the castle time. The Friends apartment style is also nice.

The library was really cool. There used to be a really neat book store in Cleveland that had kind of a similar balcony (although way bigger). I actually did really like Giles little bungalo, though.

I picked the library since season two is my favorite season and I loved season three as well. A lot of interesting stuff happened there and its where I became a fan of the show. I also chose the magic box because I love season five as well. Having Spike come around there was also cool to see. Both places have fond memories of the show for me. It was really funny having Spike tied up at Giles' place though lol.

The library is the only real base imo. After that they're just...floating around haha.

I never saw Buffy's house as their base. It was just her house to me (that and I try not to think too much of s7). I picked the library and the Magic Box.

The library was an obvious go to for the high school seasons. But once i started to actual analyze the show, i hated the idea. How does nobody walk in on the Scoobies with their pants around their ankles and their swords hanging out? How do they get into the school after hours?
The magic box seemed like a placed best created and suited to the good guy's needs. Speaking strictly of the show, not the comics.

no brainer:
The library and the magig box. 🙂

P.S.
But I also liked Giles house in season 4, I guess mostly because of Giles being a bon viveur. 😉
