Who erased mentions of the Beast?

Did Jasmine make everyone/thing forget so AI would be forced to being out Angelus? Did the priestesses do it so no one would try and bring the Beast back, but Jasmine was in a different dimension/plane thing? Did we just never get an answer, or am I just forgetting it?

I think 'Inside Out' reveals that Jasmine used her 'higher power' status to erase the history of The Beast from people's memories, sacred texts and the like; firstly so any response to The Beast's rampage would be hampered by lack of knowledge of the people trying to interfere; i.e the good guys at Angel Inc and the baddies at W&H.
Secondly it would neutralize the threat from those who'd stopped the Beast in the past; such as the priestesses, so Jasdelia could take care of them if and when was necessary.

There were a few other bonuses; it helped enable the manipulation to bring out Angelus; whilst this did reveal 'the power behind the Beast' it was also a benefit in that it took Angel out of the game and gave Jasdelia another pawn/muscle.

But then again, Liam getting drunk twenty feet from the Master's Dear One is supposedly Jasmine's doing.

Well, in the end, it was a red herring installed by Jasmine to keep team Angel busy while she plotted her Birth.

I would have guessed the Beast Master was the First Evil, come to destroy the sun and gather an Army of Demons and conquer LA.
