Question Do You Love Buffy but Hate Joss?

In the interview "Don't Mess with Charisma Carpenter, she talks about how they fell out during S4 but reconciled in S5, even though he lied to her about not killing her off.

No, but he should have been thrown in jail for what he did to Lewinsky in order to try to cover it up.

That interview is one point of view. Its also worth remembering that she agreed to be killed off in Your Welcome. She read the script. If she wasn't happy with it she didn't have to comeback for it.

This isn't a thread about Clinton. I only mentioned it as an example of someone who has been held up as a terrible human being because he had a affair.

Yes, and GraceK said she had not heard Charisma's side of things, so I pointed her to a source where she could hear it.

As I said in my prior post, this is not how Charisma tells the story.

Well, then use better examples.

For the record I don't hate Joss because he cheated. I hate him because I think he's a smarmy, arrogant little jackass.

Worth noting that Charisma was under contract and hid her pregnancy until the last minute forcing a rewrite. That risked the show and the jobs of all those working on it. She still got paid.

Maybe she hid her pregnancy BECAUSE she feared getting written out of the show. From what we know of the whole thing, she was right to fear troubles.
I love Buffy, but I recognize that Joss is a flawed (but talented) human being who is capable of some really bad stuff. Unless someone is a criminal and I can't in good conscience support their work, I tend to try to take the work and leave the rest. I have little use for celebrity of any kind. I respect talent. If it wasn't for Joss, there would be no Buffy and I would be so sad about that. But I don't lionize the man. I never did. As I've learned a bit about him, I have lost any desire to meet him and talk to him about his work because I don't think I'd like him as a person at all or respect him as a man... but his work... I am grateful it exists, particularly the Buffyverse.
