EW's - March Cover: Buffy the Vampire Slayer cast reunites for 20th anniversary

I knew it! I knew there had to be something coming! And then came the anniversary and even though there were many really nice articles and interviews released by the minute I thought that couldn't have been IT.
You got me Joss, you got me good. Just when I was about to give out hope, you give me this.

I feel as giddy as my sixteen year old self was when they aired a new episode back in the day.
A million thanks!

It really is great to see almost every one back. I'm sure ASH had a good reason. But it's nice to see some of the cast and Joss who don't do the conventions. Seeing Alyson and Amber and Seth is awesome! And Alexis is looking good!

Really cool! Its been such a treat to see all this stuff tonight. Pretty glad I did the 4am nudie run for firewood now. Up to enjoy with the rest of the world

I adore the Emma and Bunny one! Awesome haha. I really got a laugh out of ASH's picture too.

I want emmas bunny picture to be my av! But I duno the rules on that?

I really like Ambers style in this.

I wonder what they were thinking when it came to individual shots - because everyone is dressed, and then there's sudenly Charisma's which looks like it should be in Maxim or something. I mean she looks great, but it looks a bit weird when the others look... well dressed and not supine on a desk. Where did her dress go?

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing..... Wonder if it was her idea or EW's?

As she did that movies recently where it looks like she spent most of the time with her kit off my guess is it was her idea (Midlife crisis anyone?) 😵

Haha, well if you've got it, flaunt it I guess 🙂 She does look fantastic. I just picture the set and it makes me giggle, "Right Alyson, we're gonna need you to look into the camera and smile", "Charisma - that dress needs to go!"

Watched the reunion video, and loved it. My only complained is I didn't care for the EW crew talking so much. I kinda wanted just the cast and crew sitting down and talking.

Also is it me or did they get the actors ages wrong when they were cast on Buffy. James was not 38 when he first was cast on Buffy, so that makes him what 58 now lol. Also some of the other actors ages were kinda off.

Charisma looks amazing, honestly I think she looks better now. Hell, she looks way better than she did on Angel. Long hair looks *so* much better on her. Honestly if they brought back the Buffyverse, Cordelia could totally play Cordelia as a ghost and look exactly like she did when she died.

Sigh if only FOX freaking released a blu ray complete set, they freaking have all the cast together. They literally could of been producing extras for it like now.

Yeah, James is the same age as me.....so he would have been 34 when he started on Buffy. Though saying that I believe James was a little canny about his age for a while....there were quite a few wrong dob's floating around for him (most making him younger than he actually was!) though I don't remember any making him older??

Oh yes that's right. I have to admit to always thinking he was much younger than he was. But then again, growing up watching Buffy into my teens. I never really bothered to wonder the ages of the actors, so when I did do my research years after the show ended and looking online at ages. I was blown away by James age and him being older than I thought.

My thoughts exactly. I didn't care for the Entertainment Documentary format, as it's been done so many times before and it was a lot of the same old, same old. So in that sense it felt like the show wasn't really made with the fans in mind, but more of the general viewer. It especially bugged me how the EW crew kept commentating/summarizing on things that we already know.

So like you I would have prefered more of a panel discussion type of show where we'd seen the cast interact more with each other.

Still it's amazing to see them all together again. 🙂
Yesterday I was feeling very tired and having a cold. So I felt like crashing in the TV sofa, not really having much energy. Then I found this teaser clip of the cast together again and after watching that I was feeling excited and happy. It was like I got all my energy back. I think it's amazing what a powerful thing fandom can be and I honestly didn't know that Buffy could still make me feel like that.
