How scary is Buffy?

planning on watching first ep but during the theme song there were spiders i love horror but hate spider so if anyone can advise much appreciated
 
Eh, I would argue Season 1, and to an extent season 2, but after that, the story moves from the bound fantastic of horror to the free fantastic, that is fantasy.

What episode contain spider I don't mind scares just spider hate
Just Nightmares in season 1 and Selfless in season 7. I can't remember any others...though I have a vague memory of spiders in the season 4 Halloween episode, but maybe I'm just confusing them with bats or props (it was set up for a Halloween party).
 
It really depends on the episode.

Personally I was never really scared by the show, Buffy for me was more about heartbreak and humor than horror.

That said there was the occasional episode/moment/villain that could creep me out.

Off the top of my head..
I'd say Hush season 4, Same Time Same Place Season 7.. have some creepy moments.

thx the theme is the scariest part of the show lol so far
 
There's an ep called Conversations with Dead People in Season 7 that I think is a bit scary, but that's a long way off if you've just started season 1
