If you were Buffy would you kill Faith? yes or no?

Me personally 100%. I'm thinking about if I was in that situation and I really wouldn't have known that Faith would redeem herself. She just killed someone and tried to frame me!

If I'm being honest I was cheering for her death the whole season 🥲 🥸
 
It depends on when in the season. I think after she started working for the mayor it would have been fair for Buffy to take her out but the way that it happened on screen left a really sour taste in my mouth. It’s shows how her all consuming love with Angel wasn’t that healthy. Both her decision to kill Faith and feeding herself to Angel were centered not in Buffy’s values but in the fact that Buffy makes reckless decisions when it comes to him.
 
Buffy only wanted to kill Faith because she needed Angel back in the game for Ascension Day, Faith's slayer blood being the cure for Killer of the Undead. Killing Faith was definitely something needed to do prior to the Ascension, as she was the only one who could really kill either Buffy or Angel , and if she kills either or both, that's it. If she had done it earlier, the Mayor may have had time to organize a hard retaliation.

I don't think Faith was an actual murderer until she started killing for the Mayor. (That's not to say she was fine before that point.)

Before that she was reckless. I'm inclined to even give Faith a break (as in understandable mistake as opposed to saying Faith SHOULD have) for staking a guy who was stupid enough to reach out to her in a dark alley full of vampires. He was lucky the vampires didn't get him first. He could've contacted them in other ways, including anonymously, but he had to choose a really dumb way to go about it. I consider his death a Darwin Award.

As Faith is a Slayer, I do consider her part of the supernatural rather than natural. That means Buffy can deal with her as she sees fit.

That said, I only agree with Buffy killing Faith when it was to save Angel from what Faith did to him. I'm glad she didn't, but I'd have done the same as Buffy in her situation.

100% in my opinion I feel like she was more reckless with Angel than anybody

I can't really disagree with that.

Admittedly, in Buffy's place, if I decided to kill Faith, it probably wouldn't be to save Angel... because in Buffy's place I would have been more interested in Willow. 😀 Which does mean Angelus would have never come to be.

By the time Buffy and Faith came into actual conflict, killing Faith was definitely the more pragmatic approach, if done for practical reasons, but not killing her did end up being one of the primary reasons why the Mayor was defeated.
 
No... I, like Buffy, tend to want to believe there is good in everyone and that anyone can be redeemed so I would have probably done almost exactly what Buffy did.

In fairness, if they'd decided to take it that route Angel would just be female. You don't even need to change the name.

Yeah, but you still need to be okay with a walking corpse! :D Never really seen the appeal of vampires.
While I completely understand Faith being traumatized by Kissing Toast etc, her terrorizing Joyce was evil af. And I prayed Buffy would kill her, just for that.
 
No. Buffy makes it plain, and even says, that "we don't kill humans". It's not in her to do so, nor should she. It's what makes her the slayer.
